Lady Cannafan's Seedsman Comparative Grow Banana Jealousy ViparSpectra KS5000

I am so confident that I'm going to have a chit ton of buds.....I'm already getting the hanging area ready and paper bags.
I'm going to do some by hanging, and some in bags. I want to see which method is better. I used to use the bags after a couple of days of air drying, and it worked out well.

I've got a cupboard full of Mason jars ready too. ;-)

I used a drying rack, then it was a trim and into grove bags with a little hygrometer… quick and easy.
What do you consider better? Or what are you hoping to achieve with one method over the other?

Hanging them takes up a large amount space with all of the plants I have, and controlling humidity during drying is a PITA with so many. It's either too dry in this house, or too much humidity. I can hang wet towels when it's too dry, but my dehumidifier is down, and then there's the electricity cost of it.
Paper bags remove humidity and I can just shake the bag up or toss the buds a bit in those, and they can be placed in the cupboards out of sight and out of the way, using only a damp towel placed in a bowl in there if needed.

I had several of the mesh hanging dryer units like the link below, but I think I gave them away. Still thinking on whether to buy one:

Thank you Keith! I'm going to try to get some photos of the grow room today.

Mom is doing well, I took her back to her own house yesterday. I finally have my bed and my house back to myself. LOL
Heading over there now to bring her some food. Hot pork sandwichy's with tators and gravy. She's been craving it.

Have a wonderful day! 💞
You can take care of me any day! YUM!

I get it! I like to wet trim then hang my plants in full upside down. But when I run out of room, I double up the hanging if the plant are not too tall. I will attach one to the other then hang upside down. When I officially run out of room, I break out the air rack hanger like you posted. It's my emergency plan, if you will. I don't like how my nugs get flat spots in them, from sitting on one side or the other.

Ditto!

Hi Poppa OG! If I use my nylon, multi-level rack, I put 3 inch high rings made from sheet-metal in the centers. No flat buds'

Dam, the one you linked is half the price of mine with a better door design and folds up smaller than mine……

It was delivered a bit ago, and this one is made much better than what I had years ago. It's much roomier in the tiers.
I'll know when I start getting buds in there if those zippered openings are going to work well and hold up. It came with a set of pruning scissors too. Not the best, but will do in a pinch.

It sounds like we have the same one! :thumb:

Good Morning Friends.

These plants are not slowing down whatsoever. I discovered yesterday morning that one of them has branches that completely fell over from the weight and I had zero materials here to get them tied up and supported. I don't think any of them broke.
I tied a string around the plant temporarily and made an emergency overnight amazon order of long bamboo stakes and they arrived this morning. As soon as lights are on this morning I need to get in there and tie her up before I head out to the hospital.

Again, hope to get some pics at some point today.

Outdoor girls in the pots are growing very tiny pistils.

Have a wonderful day all!

UPDATE: 6-1-24 I believe we are going into week 6 of flower.

I am having a tough time keeping up with this bunch of girls. It took almost an hour to tie up the big one with the branches that fell over. It's sticky stuff in there! There are three more that are going to need support no later than tomorrow. I don't want any breakage!

Here's some quick pics, no time for fancy stuff right now.

Whatcha think? Are they getting busy in there or what?

Good morning Gro Sista 🤩

Great news about your mum. And your garden looks fire!

Xo
Thanks Trala. I hadn't posted the most recent update about my Mom in the last few days. Unfortunately she was back in over the weekend with breathing issues, came home for a couple days and went back in early Thursday morning with fluid on the lungs. They did a drainage procedure yesterday morning, and took a full liter of fluid out. Still waiting on several tests since then on the fluid, hoping it wouldn't start to fill again, but chest xrays this morning shows it's building up again. The pulmonologist was quite honest with us on what may happen. They are going to try another drain tomorrow morning, but he says it will probably continue to build.
At this point we are preparing for the worst, with her age and condition.....the prognosis is very poor.

It’s about that heartbreaking balance of quality vs quantity of life.

Death is coming for all of us, it’s just coming quicker for some than others. From my nursing experience chest drains don’t cause pain, so that’s good, particularly if it gives the patient comfort. But as you know it’s treating the symptoms rather than the disease process.

Is your mum okay in herself?

Hey Ya'll, please be sure to come and join us at the best multi-member Grow Show ever. We've got two teams of growers and we have lots of different strains and sponsors, including Seedsman!

We've just gotten started, so come on along and cheer for a team...or both teams. :cheer: The first post tells all about what we're doing.

I almost wish it was a tent. LOL I think it would be easier on me. This is in a spare bedroom, the grow space is about 12 feet long and 6 feet from the wall. Never thought I would run out space, but it happened! :lot-o-toke:
WooHoo! ❤️

Now it looks even More Amazing!
I assumed it was 4x8.
