Konk's 1st Grow: ON Canada

I'm glad to see your aphid problem subsiding. Those damn things are maddening. Just a few more weeks man. I've still have 8 to go so it's a test of patience for both of us.
Your plants are looking great.

New Alert: Hurricane heading my way. That's not covered in the Plant Problems section..lol.

 What's one more thing, right? You my helpful dear jjjr, are officially passed the $hit end of the stick :bongrip:
We are :passitleft:motivated and "Wile E." enough to go out fighting, stay in the game!
Dude, its under outdoor growing  I found via google and did not read it

Weather is not good! Kodiak420 & I are looking forward to it warming up on the weekend  Really have a decent prototype with the weed wagon.

Today was wet, sunny, crazy windy, a thunderstorm and intermittent rain. No new bugs!

The crazy wind kept them less wet

Plant 5, still alive

Good morning Kronk :)

Your wagon is looking fabulous!

Hey I’ve got a joke you might like. I’ll set the scene, we had a new American trainee doctor join our team, and our ward clerk is Canadian. The Canadian was telling the joke.

What do you call a sophisticated American?
A Canadian

:thanks: It is swanky af!

Not everyone will appreciate that, but I love it.
Good to see you, @Trala!

I never thought of searching for that..lol. Thankfully I am far enough inland and should be okay with just gusts and heavy rain. Tornadoes are always a higher risk for these hurricanes breaking up.

Loving the looks of that weed wagon. The Canadian flag is a nice touch. I hope ya catch some nice sunshine soon.

Today the crop turns 18 weeks from seed! Weed wagon crew has shown pisitls for 7 weeks, the 2 aholes in quarantine have shown pistils for 8 weeks. Fed the lot some weaker than normal Miracle Grow 15-30-15, I may have skipped a water only and half assed it...

The weed wagon crop

After ghosting the two in quarantine finally noticed this splint didn't work out on Plant #5.

I played trim, wash and hang... kids don't put buggy weed in your sinks, ok, I wash the sinks here. First try tada!

Plant# 5.7 got dropped or knocked over...meh, can see how it does vs the one that hasn't been jostled.

That #5 is a little early but accidents happen. I've got some bud that have kinked over from weight. I'm just leaving them alone. As long as they don't start to die they're good till the end.

Want to show off Plant #4 - Recluse. This plant had been put outside first because it had some odd markings on it's leaves and was cast aside. Attempted to fim & later fim, microtop & lst.

Now she may be the most robust of the crop, also the only of the 4 lemon sapphire to show some purple on her leaves. I briefly looked into the purple and it might be phosphorus, temperature, strain .... :nerd-with-glasses:there must be more 'cause that's not enough info, you know :hmmmm:
See the bright yellow spot on the leaf in the middle pic? Calling that a birthmark until I get farther into the purple, it's a long way from her heart...

No new live bugs! :cheer: Think the timing couldn't have been better, looking into diatomaceous earth as a preventative measure (note to self: Kodiak posted one, too, just into aphid battle pg 11 ish) for next run.

I have staked the wagon crop as they get heavy. I think this one was splinted maybe week ago. Today it was really wilty and hanging, first splint fail. The plant is rough, unknown and 8 weeks into flower making her ideal to fool with. She is the parent of all the salvaged pieces I've got. Sort of wimpier that the wagon crop. She took a beating as an aphid poison tester, too.

If you notice mine suddenly don't look early holler, please!

Edit: Oh ya, I also drove a screw into her stem this week

:bong: I can drive almost anything, it might not be pretty but I can. I back into parking spots always, for safety, and don't think about it. Turns out I am actually getting worse at backing up that wagon  it's different than a boat and it takes massive correction for the slightest angle. I kinda jacknifed it, not really but I bailed and parked it lol

I thought it was fine but got called inside by these two. Literally the worst motivational team ever and they talk in riddles, too.

Have a safe and happy weekend!

:bongrip: Alright, a little organizing...

Plant #5 - Random bagseed. Attempted to top then later fim, microtop and lst
Aphid measures: alcohol, water, dish soap (almanac & shed's recipes) & GreenEarth Concentrated Insecticidal Soap
Screw through her stem. Most convenient recent pic

  • whole plant is crispier or less supple overall than the others
  • "buds" (loose language, ya) look like they have come up and closed around the pisitils
  • pistils are pretty crispy and not noticing new pistil growth, haven't looked but should

I have those and found this site

In the morning I am gonna have a closer look at her.

:laughtwo: I have a very similar set up with the garden tractor and the cart - and I can’t back the thing up without jackknifing it too! I’ve just made a habit of getting things “close enough” and then finishing manually. Absolutely love my cart though, so it’s good enough!
Plants are looking great Konk! Do you have a way to look at the trichromes? I downloaded an app for my phone (I believe it was free). It’s called “Magnifier” and is does NOT have a flashlight with it. The thing I really like about it is that I can freeze the screen to see if it’s in focus and then take a pic if so, or just release it and try again.

It's a real pain in the a$s, isn't it  I sort of anticipated a learning curve, but I just walk away now. If I cared more I would be embarassed lol

I bought a cheap loupe, but that seems too abstract right now when the flowers are changing daily. I immediately downloaded that app, thanks so much, Boo! Think its the same one, it does the freeze screen in the wind which is great. :thumb:
