Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

i will be going through that thread as soon as i get the time. i have it bookmarked on my cell and work comp so i should be able to do more then just a quick scan in the coming week. have you ever thought of making a blog about this? would be nice to have all your knowledge one on page ;)

Good Idea!

Here are the Silver Thiosulfate blogs re posted

i ordered silver nitrate the kind used for photography, it will be mixed in its own solution. i ordered sodium thiosulfate the kind used to bind chlorine from aquarium water, it will be mixed in its own solution. i will combine a portion of each solution together to form a silver thiosulfate solution and treat the second plant with it when it produces more pistils to my liking and stress the cannabis plant into producing female pollen sacks. the female pollen sacks will be left to ripen and open at that time i will treat the first large plant with the resulting pollen and produce feminized seeds.

The Silver Thiosulfate solution is made from

Part A: 0.5 gram of Silver Nitrate mixed into 500ml distilled water
Part B: 2.5 grams of Sodium Thiosulfate mixed into 500ml distilled water

20 milliliters of part A and 20 milliliters of part B were mixed and shaken together.
this solution was diluted at a ratio of 1:9.
360 milliliters of distilled water was added to make 400 milliliters of Silver Thiosulfate solution.

I noticed the Silver Thiosulfate solution darkening so i mixed up a fresh batch consisting of 20 milliliters Silver Nitrate solution, 20 milliliters Sodium Thiosulfate solution, 360 milliliters of distilled water. LA Confidential number 2 continues to be sprayed daily with Silver Thiosulfate solution.

King,

Got my "Snow Storm Ultra" today and just wanted to revisit your directions.

Mix how much to per quart/gallon and spray once a week just before lights out?

Discontinue use a week before harvest.

I have 2 more weeks till I flip so no rush just want to reinforce in my head.

Thanks...

Obtw.... I also picked up some "FloraNectar" that I will begin adding to my nutrient mix this weekend. This weekend is just a gallon of fresh nutrients and next weekend is full change out.

I was thinking of upping her strength on next change out. At the moment I am at 100% of GH's week 5 schedule and would like to see if I can get some added growth out of her.

One plant in a 6 gallon res. Roots are off white so would like your opinion on the hydrogen peroxide in the res and at what strength.

I'm using everything in the week 5 schedule (except "DiamondNectar) to include the "CaliMagic" and "HydroGuard". The hydorguard is at 2ml per gallon.

Your input would be greatly appreciated....

I use Snow Storm Ultra at 0.80-1.25 milliliters per quart or liter.

In my previous experience using LED light panels I have found vigorous growth in vegetative growth and in flowering with using roughly 3/4 strength General Hydroponics nutrients.

Using hydrogen peroxide will also sterilize your reservoir and kill some of the beneficial bacteria and fungus you are adding with the Hydroguard previously known as Aquashield. You can use 3% hydrogen peroxide at 5-10 milliliters per gallon.

Hello john look how can i make my signature to look like yours like i wanna have mind just to say growing 5 strains indoors thats it help pls

Here is everything you should need to know to place a link to your Grow Journal in your signature

How To Add Links To Signatures

To change your link in your signature to the correct name for your Grow Journal the code would appear similar to this

(Replace * with a [ and save your signature)

Yea, I was at 80% strength but went to 100% when I went vertical. Thought it might help with that.

However during my nightly spreading tonight I did notice some very minor tips changing. So I may cut back to 80% at next full change out and keep it to 100% (1 gallon) mid change out.

Sounds like I don't want to use the peroxide. Off white is good enough for me and the plant doesn't seem to be effected.

Thanks again...as always your always there to help.

KJC, Does the GH Micro not have enough Cal/Mg in it to keep your girls happy? Curious about the extra helping?

Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

Plants grown under LED light panels have higher requirements for calcium and magnesium.

Any idea to why that is?

Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

I believe that the Photosynthetically active radiation of the PAR spectrum that LED light panels are designed to use stimulates photosynthesis at a higher rate then with conventional High Intensity Discharge of the Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium light bulbs and increases the rate that calcium and magnesium are consumed by the cannabis plants.
