Does anybody actually have the Ed Rosenthal book being cited here? I thought about buying it because I am very interested in the botany behind cannabis. I know so little about this plant. I would love to know more about the science behind it.

I just saw this book on amzon yesterday and then it is mentioned here.

I used that book to get started before I found this wonderful forum. It's a good book, although not totally up to date on the latest LED stuff, it's definitely worth it.

The growing part I come directly here to all of you good people. I like reading tech stuff. I want to know more about the plant itself, not necessarily how it grows. I want to know about how they determine gene, pheno, etc. This is all very interesting to me and good to know when I enter discussions with people who think pot is only something to get you high.

Well, back in the 70s, qualudes or queludes got you high, but they weren't only for getting high. They were medicine first and fore. I think this is the direction cannabis needs to go. It's how the entirety of it will be safe, informed, etc. I just smoked so I may not be making any sense! I may never make much sense, come to think of it!

Pertaining to the green(525nm) light wavelength, I have been doing a lot of reading on this subject since I came across an article linking the 525nm wavelength to shorter node stretching, and would be interested in an experiment of running a green light during the sleep cycle to see how it would effect node stretch.

I was just in my room in the dark a noticed the green light from my blu lab guardian is shining on the Advanced side plants only. since switching to flower the Advanced side has mounted a impressive come back.
I'm wondering if I should cover the display or just run all my green lights in the room during sleep period.

any thoughts?

All plants were watered with a nutrient solution consisting of 3 millilitres per gallon of Flora Gro, 5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Micro, 10 millilitres per gallon of Flora Bloom, 5 millilitres per gallon of Liquid KoolBloom and 5 millilitres per gallon of Cal-Mag Plus.

Nice buds, how is the density? many say that the density of buds grown under LED is greater then that under HPS but buds not as big.

I have not squeezed any of the buds on the plants to test the buds density.

the display is pretty bright all though only shining on one side of the plants. I think I can dim it though. I can see enough to walk around in the room from the display.



Looking great KJC , are you worried about bleaching on the plant that's only 9" away from the light?

I am not placing the part of the plant closest to the light panel directly under the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x. A solution to the height of the AK48's has been planed.
