Supercropping.... All about mitigating stress at certain phases during a grow. Some do it during veg some do it during flower it all depends on how much stress is introduced before , during recovery and after. Often repeat stress (continual supercropping) can stall plants out or over stress to undesirable sex no matter what phase. Since John is a gentle farmer he can play with stress more often also he uses a lot of clones that makes it easier to mitigate as well since they are already established females.

But I think we can officially call Lush's claim of 'Buds to the Floor' not true, nothing I have seen so far justifies their exorbitant costs IMO. And I have not seen any glaring errors on KJC's part where one could say 'o it just a bad grow'. Particularly considering that they are manufactured in China, I bet Lush is making close to 200% profit, if not more, per panel. (anyone can buy Cree diodes from $1-$4 and that the qty 1 price).

Normally I would keep my opinion quiet, but I truly believe Lush is trying to 'soak' the average marijuana grower with these crazy claims and high prices. I realize businesses exist to make money, but from my rough calculations and cost comparisons, they amount of money they making per panel off growers is just ridiculous. I maybe wrong, but I really do not think so.

Wish i had an extra $1000 to spend to put one of these in a side by side with a panel less then 1/3 the cost.

Anyhow thanks for showing us what they can do KJC! Glad you did not have to shell out >$2000 to do it

If your happy with your jet engines in your grow room, well there's enough journals going with different led panels that the trash talk isn't needed as we can all look at different grows and outcomes and figure out ourselves what's needed in ones own grow room. Your not actually helping and when I see you're posted, I know for sure it's bagging.

I'm withholding judgment of Lush led till after my comparison is done. I can tell you that my plants under the Dominator 2x are healthier than plants on the advanced side.

I will be brief because I made my case already...

What I meant by normally keeping quiet was this, if I did not think they where 'soaking' us growers, but just had an expensive product, I would not 'trash' them. But since it appears to me that they are attempting to rip off growers, I will speak out. If you did the cost analysis you would probably be mad too (if you want to do it PM me and I can point you in the right direction for where components are bought)

Anyhow, just my opinion and you can dismiss it if you like, I have zero skin in the game.

I'm withholding judgment of Lush led till after my comparison is done. I can tell you that my plants under the Dominator 2x are healthier than plants on the advanced side.

King, I want to personally thank you for taking the time to do this side by side. I of course went in a different direction with my choice of LED but this comparison had tons to learn from and teach.

Bagging, judgment seems a little....well you know. The criticism doesn't have to be positive just doesn't need to be harsh.

An opinion like "Lush is trying to 'soak' the average marijuana grower", I have no problem with that, he is entitled to an opinion If he would have just stated an opinion I would probably be fine with it. But it seems like he felt the need to inflate his opinion with LIES.

I have not seen this on Lush's website. I admit I have not read every single word on their website, but KJC has and could not find it either.

$1399.00/3 = $466.33 I have not seen a 435 watt L.E.D. fixture for that cheap.

Do not get me wrong I am glad he has opinions and I have been in his journal and he is a good grower, I know John but I am not defending John I am defending Lush Lighting and I would be defending any sponsor who is getting railroaded like this, with incorrectly inflated quotes on prices, Shameful I say, shameful.

And in previous posts he has continually trashed Lush, I am not quoting here as I did not want to go back through 19 pages of posts but if I remember correctly Lush claimed to have researched spectrum specifically to tailor them to cannabis and Crawdaddy for some reason does not believe it nor the fact it costs more money to do research which is why the Lush fixture costs more, and no one else has the same spectrum as Lush which means they can charge more because they believe they have a superior product. Which is also why Lush will not share their research as it would make it easy for the competition to copy them and not spend the money doing the research themselves driving up the cost of the their own fixtures.

I do not know if Lush fixtures are better or worse the any other which is why I follow this journal. I just know trashing them or praising them before all the evidence is in is not beneficial to the journal. KJC is an experienced grower and his evaluation will carry weight in the community because he has tested the light himself and not just evaluated it based on the price and his belief of weather or not the company did the research they say they did(which I have no reason to doubt).

Labexperiment, here is a rebuttal to claims I was 'lying', the last thing i want to do is confuse the facts.

The 'Buds to the floor' thing used to be on their website, or maybe I saw it somewhere on Kushington Farms, an obvious LUSH proxy. After I said it i looked at their website again, and not there. But, if you look in KJC's first post he quoted their website, 'The first LED grow lights that flower plants 4' away with buds hanging to the floor!', So i guess i got it slightly wrong, sorry.

I just found a fixture, that many on this site have had good results with, from another sponsor with an actual draw of '400-450W' from their website that is indeed less then 1/3 the cost. if you can not find it PM me and I will give you link.

I thought KJC got 2 panels, now that I look back at first post I must have been confused because he got a 'Dominator 2X' panel, and i thought that meant 2 of the Dominators, sorry I was mistaken, so to reword my statement, 'Glad KJC did not spend >$1300 of his own money'.

Lastly, with regards to you statement of 'I do not know if Lush fixtures are better or worse the any other which is why I follow this journal. ' This journal, while a good journal and KJC is showing people some good methods, will not tell you if the Lush panels are any better or worse then another panel.

Anyhow, sorry for cluttering up your thread KJC, I just do not want to see my fellow growers get taken advantage of, being in a 'grey area' legally makes us targets for such chicanery.

If you notice I am growing 4 large plants and 2 smaller plants, the smaller plants are at least 2'6" from the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x. The larger plants have white pistils on even the very small popcorn that I have left to see how far the distance a Lush Lighting Dominator 2x can flower from the LED panel all the way down to the base of the plants.

Wow King... I'm looking at your girls and they are only 9 days further along in bloom than my Wild Thai and the buddage is much better on yours and if I am remembering correctly you are flowering in 3 gallon pots and mine is in a 8 gallon pot. I'm really hoping that means mine will grow that much in 9 days but I think it is more likely the light and the grower are kicking azz.......
