The AK48's have grown within 10 inches from the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x, all the plants have grown very fast and well I just wish I had more headroom. Potency is usually determined by several factors the most important are grow conditions, genetic potential and other characteristics of the plants and harvesting at peak maturity. When you start a perpetual grow you need a larger amount of seeds of the same strain to germinate, allow the plants to grow and select cuttings from the plants, clones are rooted and the original plants are flowered, the clones are now mother plants and kept in a vegetative state. After harvest potency, yield, flavour, medicinal characteristics and ease of trimming all determine which mother plant will be kept to base future grows upon.

Ur fine! 10" is probably to close, but sometime can not be helped as plants stretch, for example in my comparison some are less then 5" from light.

No, I do not have a favourite plant. All of the plants should yield well, the mother plant of the AK48's produced a 21.8 gram cola, Hindu Kush #3 should develop great purple colours and the AK47x Alaskan Thunder should produce a large cola as well.

One thing that can be used to increase the potency of your plants is to use a flowering booster, usually containing Potassium Phosphate. I use General Hydroponics Liquid KoolBloom from early flowering until I switch to KoolBloom Dry in the final weeks of flowering.

Since I use General Hydroponics Flora series nutrients I felt that using their flowering booster would integrate into my nutrient schedule.

For vegetative growth I am convinced the The Lush Lighting Dominator 2x can vegetate a plant as well as a Metal Halide light. This far into flowering I believe the pistil formation is very comparable to what I would normally see flowering under High Pressure Sodium lights.

All plants were watered with a nutrient solution consisting of 5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Gro, 5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Micro, 10 millilitres per gallon of Flora Bloom, 3 millilitres per gallon of Liquid KoolBloom and 5 millilitres per gallon of calcium and magnesium.
