Flower Day 23

All plants were watered with a nutrient solution consisting of 5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Gro, 5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Micro, 10 millilitres per gallon of Flora Bloom, 3 millilitres per gallon of Liquid KoolBloom and 5 millilitres per gallon of calcium and magnesium.

Looking good KJC. Do u plan on doing any LST or any other treatment? Or is this a true test of the light panels and just their capabilities?

I certainly would never presume to speak for King but I asked the same question a bit back and he said he is letting them grow without training to show what the light can do on it's own without his professional training for this grow.....:circle-of-love:

I believe the large fan leaves have blocked some of the light that the nodes and tops otherwise would have received and has contributed to the amount that the plants have stretched. The plants have stretched more then I would normally see with High Pressure Sodium lights. I still have not decided that this is bad it may simply be a response to the full spectrum lighting that the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x provides.

Prior to my beginning this grow journal and review I put a lot of thought into what methods of Low Stress Training I may use and decided that this grow journal and review should feature plants with a small amount of Low Stress Training and Topping only so that the results should be repeatable for anyone who wishes to repeat them. Using only small amounts of Low Stress Training to re orient branches towards open places where the branches would receive more light. I feel that how I would normally train a plant by using Low Stress Training, Topping, tying and defoliation and given a longer vegetative growth time is not representative of how many people who may grow their plants under a Lush Lighting Dominator 2x.

Nice pictures ! How far from the Light are the plants ? ( I must of missed that) I have a question for you on a different topic. My first and only grow was wonderful but I thought the potency was lacking. I made a lot of mistakes and its a wonder I made it to the end. I started with great seeds from Herbies and I believe I cured correctly. Do you have any ideas what I could do to improve on potency ?

The AK48's have grown within 10 inches from the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x, all the plants have grown very fast and well I just wish I had more headroom. Potency is usually determined by several factors the most important are grow conditions, genetic potential and other characteristics of the plants and harvesting at peak maturity. When you start a perpetual grow you need a larger amount of seeds of the same strain to germinate, allow the plants to grow and select cuttings from the plants, clones are rooted and the original plants are flowered, the clones are now mother plants and kept in a vegetative state. After harvest potency, yield, flavour, medicinal characteristics and ease of trimming all determine which mother plant will be kept to base future grows upon.

Flower Day 25

The plants were defoliated today in the same manner that I would normally defoliate plants placed under High Pressure Sodium lights, I remove all the lower fan leaves and leave 4 fan leaves maximum at each growing top of each cola. many large 8" fan leaves were removed from the AK48's and Hindu Kush #3. The only plant that did not require any defoliation was the AK47x Alaskan Thunder.
