KingJohnC's Lush Lighting LED Dominator 2x Soil Indoor Grow Journal & Review

re: KingJohnC's Lush Lighting LED Dominator 2x Soil Indoor Grow Journal & Review

Hey Bid come to do alittle more babbling. Did enough research to start to get dangerous here. About the UV-B crap again. Those 'reptile' lights run like 10% UV-B. Not sure what tanning bulbs run in the % but it has some also. From what I can add is if one wants to add some it's a good ballpark additive to add up to 100 watts per 1000 watts of others. They even have UV-B in CFL form real cheap. Something I've always believed in was the peak harvest time of a outdoor crop. To me it wood be the first few weeks of summer. I've sure drooled a lot over the juiciness of those early buds. They seem to drip in August. That's another reason I always thought the auto's could be a great plant, timing your harvest to come in July, and that falls on the highest or close to the highest UV-B light mother nature has to offer. And better UV-B's closer to the equator than not. Here I get like 8.5 on the UV-B index in July, and down to 3 in the end of September. Makes sense and adds to the validity of UV-B's increasing pot's potency. I seen A1, I think, say 3-5%. I didn't do the read but I'll take his word. Up to 5% sounds like a respectable increase to me, But really it wood be great to have a cheap test kit. Something under 20 bucks, to really be able to prove these things to a idiot fools like me......... Well enough babbling on your thread. Congrads on the sponsors. I feel you can give them a good shake for some testing. And I'm waiting to see what you really think come winter when you go back to a flip under some HID's included. Keepem Green

Hey KJC, would you mind putting up a link to the Freeware--herb.IQ, I just can't find it and since I've been trying to put together my own check list this would help a lot. If you can't link it here can you give me a PM. Thank you Sir for all you do here.

I found it KJC, thank you.

A lot of reading but i have finally caught up! I will have to save some money after my trip to vegas in 2.5 weeks, but I really like what i'm seeing from the LED's. I think my new cab i build will be lit with LEDs. I appreciate the suggestion in my journal and the invite to your "demonstration" if you will, of these LED's
Cant wait to see the final results!

re: KingJohnC's Lush Lighting LED Dominator 2x Soil Indoor Grow Journal & Review

Thank you! I am very impressed with the vegetative growth that the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x is capable of producing, greater then I had expected. I am also happy with the flowering response produced in all the plants and the pistil growth as well at this day of flower.

re: KingJohnC's Lush Lighting LED Dominator 2x Soil Indoor Grow Journal & Review

KJC.. do you have any information regarding the power costs of these LED lights you use compared to say a 600-1000 HPS? I been doing some reading and yes, the initial costs are waaay more than MH or HPS, but the claim is lower amount of power used, thus saving you on electricity over the course of time. What say you to this? I mean, if its going to keep my hydro (electric) bill in check, then why haven't more people turned to LED? Like ive mentioned to you before, i would love to try out some LED lights when i build my new grow cab... I have seen enough people on here achieve some amazing results with LED lighting and i would love to achieve these results with lower power consumption if i could.

re: KingJohnC's Lush Lighting LED Dominator 2x Soil Indoor Grow Journal & Review

I do not have any information on power saving regarding LED light panels but the energy savings are well known. Using only 435 watts compared to 1000-1100 watts to illuminate the same square foot space the energy cost savings would add up fast. I believe the greatest reasons why people have not embraced LED light technology is the pour reputation associated with low powered 1 watt LED panels that were common only a few years ago, people have not yet seen enough proven results with current 3 watt and 5 watt LED panels to be able to discern between real results and good company's to do business with. There are few LED company's who would wish to have their LED panels reviewed publicly, Lush Lighting has enough faith in their products to have the results shown publicly.
