KingJohnC's Lush Lighting LED Dominator 2x Soil Indoor Grow Journal & Review

re: KingJohnC's Lush Lighting LED Dominator 2x Soil Indoor Grow Journal & Review

Looking great my friend, not sure which one I'm looking forward to the most!
I'm very interested in reveg and how that works so will be paying as much attention as possible!

One of mine is starting to do the same thing as your Hindu Kush 2..
Is there an easy way to correct this?

Can you re phrase your question? The Hindu Kush #2 are clones that were taken from a plant in flower and are re vegetating. The Hindu Kush #2 leaves were wrinkling when the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x LED panel was too close to the plants, the light was raised.

Great update King! Are you loving your Lush Light so far? :bravo:

I am very happy with the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x so far, even though the spectrum is customized for flower the full spectrum light provided by the Dominator 2x is vegetating these plants well.

Vegetative Day 18

The taller plants were watered with a nutrient solution consisting of 5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Gro, 5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Micro, 5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Bloom and 5 millilitres per gallon of calcium and magnesium. The shorter plants were watered with a nutrient solution consisting of 2.5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Gro, 2.5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Micro, 2.5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Bloom and 5 millilitres per gallon of calcium and magnesium.

KJC, You watered your plants with differing nute solutions based on the size of the plants? I've given mine, regardless of size or age, the same solution, figuring, some are in 3 gallon pots, some 4" starter jobs and the larger pots with the larger plants would absorb more. Perhaps, that is a problem for me!

The 5 small plants that are re vegetating are being introduced to nutrients still and have a different nutritional requirement then the larger plants that are growing much faster.

Crawdaddy what amount in millilitres per gallon of calcium and magnesium do you add to your nutrient solution? This is the third watering with 5 millilitres per gallon of calcium and magnesium.

You may also want to look at your soil pH and raise it to make calcium and magnesium more available. Not sure if this applies here, but it has applied in other instances I'm familiar with.

I usually give 1.5-2 times the feeding schedule amounts of the camg. Just a suggestion and something to think about. So about 8-10 ml per gallon. If not seeing any problems I would not change, but something to keep in mind if start seeing the 'purple' stems. I usually feed very other or every 3rd watering depending on how plants are responding.

I use the GO feeding schedule for my soil plants. But been adding a boost of 'shooting powder' in the last 3 weeks. That I have to be careful with as it can burn if use to heavy. Still finding the right amounts for it.

@gardenfaire, yes pH can cause a lockout, but it has also seemed to me that they need more anyhow. Have not done direct experiment though.

Using the same Flora series but in a hydro. I have not used my camg since I had a bad experience with the FloraNova series. Don't think it was meant for a user friendly hydro application.

How does/what does the camg do for the plants?

I would assume that you find this a good system in soil as well. Just germinated some Herbies seeds 2 days ago (15 out of 16 popped in 44 hours) but none were up by lunch today. Was going to research for new nutrients but I think I will follow your lead here.

re: KingJohnC's Lush Lighting LED Dominator 2x Soil Indoor Grow Journal & Review

Plants grown under LED lights typically use higher amounts of calcium and magnesium. Calcium and magnesium are being supplemented so I do not have a deficiency.

:passitleft: High King:adore: All the stems on every plant I have grown have been purple so with that said does it mean they have all had a cal/mag deficiency? And if yes what exactly does that mean to the plant? I have never added it and they seem to have done well so if I had added it what would the difference be?.....:circle-of-love:
