What chronic said :) Could be as easy a piece of cardboard. a fluxed plant would be good candidate to do it on.

hey KJC the clones look happy i love the transformation of a flowering clone from a mini cola to weird smooth edged single leaves to gradually more and more normal leaves its very dramatic and satisfying! :rocker: so something on my mind alot lately is eye protection i have noticed a scary drop in my eye strength in the last year of using led i just ordered some green lens welding shades uv & ir protection from amazingzon 11 bucks i will let you other led users know how well they work as soon as i get them, green lenses allow you to see the plants normal without the pink cast and even snap pics thru them if you want normal colored pics and your cam does not white balance,
i find with led im less inclined to grab my shades that i used with the hps & mh the view is to dark and i cant see jack when growing with led, and these things put out a huge helping of eye damaging rays! we wont care much about lights if were blind!! protect your eyes gang!!
i know the same ppl that make the 100$ hps shades now make them for led but these green welders work just fine for a tenth the cost

Good call bid, I get a weird black dots in front of my vision once I leave my grow room. And that's just from the light not from looking at the led panel,do that, then I get one big black spot in the middle of my vision, lasts about 5 mins till it's totally clear. Welding glasses, I can get them cheap from the hardware store. :thumb:

i would not say any old welders as the reg smoke color will likely be to dark but these should do the trick and still be able to see well;

$11 seems cheap enough, but if you can get a similar pair cheaper then by all means!:thumb:

I wasn't planning on it, but I could easy enough. all though I don't think it would make that much difference.
could be added during my remodel. installing a larger a/c too.

do you think it would make a big difference?

Could make a difference...

If Lush's "proprietary" led's and wavelengths are leached by the plant under the competing led, it could skew the results.

I agree 100%, I bought some less then $10 crap ones of amazon, does the trick, but probably get a nicer pair soon.

I am thinking exactly what Shrike said, but Ronnie do not redo your grow for us, I would not ask that of anybody. If I was to do I Would not make it permanent, a solid large piece of cardboard would do the trick on a plant trained properly. Thinking 5X5 foot tent with ~435W of actual draw panel on each side, divider in middle, 3 plants total, one with divider down middle and then one on each side of divider. Or just one GIANT tent. But that just one of many pot induced dreams lol!

Props on this BID! I actually got a pair of grower's glasses, but with my LEDs they didn't cut it. I was hoping someone would make something definitively for LED growers. Please, please let me know how you like these after a few days.

Just saw these Grow Room Glasses & Aviator Sunglasses | METHOD SEVEN and they look like just what I'm looking for. But if I can get something decent for $11 then I'm in.

i did a bit of researching on what was needed for led and all the specs on those welders are good the only question is are they to dark or light? if they are good in that dept were good to go, the protection they have is complete , so yeah i will be sure and share what they offer the tracking says monday so by weds i'll have some feedback:thumb:

actually for the acytelene torch use I think I got one in my gang box
my actual welder helmet got junked but that's the kind you can look at the sun with lol
I need a new one of those but the googles I got for the torch kit would be perfect

I need to know how this turns out, my friend is in the states at the minute and I was going to wire them 80 bucks for the method 7 glasses as they seemed to be the best in the market...but that's a lot if money for grow glasses and would much prefer to pay $11.

Anybody tested the glasses from amazon?

Although if I wait till wed for feedback I should still have time to get them ordered to her address out there in time!!

Yep I agree. I use two separate tents when testing .. Just like a when someone has an HID light on one end of the room and an LED on the other end of the room you are going to get spectrum wash.

The problem with separate tents is that the plants are not grown exactly the same. You have less controlled parameters, of course could minimize by using clones and same feeding schedule/medium, but still more variables effecting output.

I've decided I will use a light divider, six plants from clone , all in my aerocurrent system. three under Advanced led and three under Lush led. might as well make it as accurate a comparison as possible. :)

Amazon also sells the Method7 clip on kind for those of us that need prescription or reading glass (this guy...lol).

I'll be getting them in the next couple days.
