It's nice to see honest feedback from Lush. I'll admit I'm a little turned off by the mfg in China - there was a time when educational institutions had me convinced of the virtues of specialization and trade and all those fancy economic models to go with it but life experience has drastically changed my views in that regard; nevertheless, I might consider a premium for a great product that was willing to back itself with a commensurate warranty. What do you say Lush? Will you back your product up to the estimated break even point of 5 years?

To put it quite simple, why does your light, even with the discount, justify a more then 100% premium over a Chinese made light that is even more then 435 actual watts(out of respect will not name specific company) of the Dominator x2 that others are getting outstanding results

I know what panels your talking about, but I guess outstanding results are up to the individual. I've seen great plants, but outstanding results? Guess it's what you consider outstanding. I'm looking at yield, cause we all know that led grows good weed. I'd consider outstanding to be 1.5g to each watt or higher. Yet to see this, with panels your talking about. Have seen really good results, one in particular that was .8g/watt from a first grow in along time, and he'll get better results next grow. P/m me so I can look for these outstanding results, love to check them out. Peace

I guess that is the problem with using euphemism instead of numbers or direct correlation. I see your point.

My direct correlation is not comparing led to hps, but led to led, and I have not seen evidence that these lights are 100% better then other LEDs.

Hears the dilemma for me, I hope they are that much better, I would be finding a way to save my money tomorrow if I was convinced that was the case. And of course that is ultimately a matter of an individual customers decision.

I am jealous of your job, I would love to have mine in the growing industry In a completely legitimate manner. Un fortunately even legal medical, and now commercial, growing is not completely legitimate as banks will not allow loans/bank account due to money laundering laws. Leading to all cash business.

Hahaha, me too! Hey, I'm a beginner. Maybe a upscale LED unit should be tested by someone with no experience to show how easy it is to grow your own! I can think of more reasons if a light wants to go to this part of the country in the US of A.

My ZNET 16 is doing beautifully, but I would love to compare, LED to LED, as mentioned before. If Lush wants to see a comparison run, I would be glad to offer my services. I know everyone at 420 is curious to know. We are also very curious to see how they do in Kings reveg.
I think most of us would start saving if we felt it did a much better job. :peace:

Can't wait to see where the chips fall. If the results justify the cost I am sure there will soon be a big shift. We all love to reduce monthly costs. Cooling and electricity seem to be top on the list.

Why is all the LED info all over the map? Is it the industry, manufactures, scientific data? Come on, this is the age of technology.

Then lets get the truth here.

Because there are many who see $$$$ and we all know, especially being a pot grower, how some people are going to take advantage of both the quasi illegality and desire of pot growers to have an advantage that makes their plants better. Plus with the high value of the crop itself makes it a haven for those less scrupulous. Add that to the fact that it is a new technology, at least for growing, and it becomes so hard to filter through the bs to the good stuff.

On another note, step back people it was my idea to do side by side, so I get first dibs if a direct comparison done, LOL!

As I said before I think best method would be large plant in one container, either soil or hydro, with light divider down middle and an LED of comparable wattage draw on either side. Thinking a giant in big ass airpot a la 'cap'n' style like sling be doing be a great test. I got a plant or two that could be there in a month or two.

hey Crawdaddy, hope to help you out in about a month. I picked up a dominator 2x and I'm going to run a Advanced led vs Lush journal.
430w Advanced vs 435w Lush
would loved to start this sooner but I'm in the process of finding a good Ace of Spades mother.
