LA Confidential number 2, no female pollen sacks have been observed yet, i am now worried that when pollen is ready LA Confidential number 1 will to too far into flowering to pollinate.

Happy Skunkday KJC ! Hope all is well in the kingdom today

Looking amazing KJC. : thumb:
Question--If the female is to far gone to put out seeds are you gonna take a clone to try to revert back to veg or just keep pollen from the male for later?

i will not be taking a cutting from either of of the flowering plants, i have one LA Confidential clone in vegetative growth. perhaps LA Confidential number 2 can produce pollen and may have some pistils still growing, if it does i will collect pollen and seed LA Confidential number 2.

Good morning KingJohn. Your grow is looking really nice and healthy. :goodjob::thumb: Here's to ya and may the pollen be with you. :cheesygrinsmiley:

very nice john,

i wonder why its not showing any signs of changing, it usually happens pretty quick so should of happened by now, you could always collect pollen for another grow, just keep it stored somewhere dark and it will remain viable as long as it stays dry, ive kept pollen for a couple of months with no problems and its still been used to produce seeds, so it can be collected and stored as long as its kept totally dry.

it should self polinate if left in flower to long as well, so it still has time to produce seeds i think as long as the pistils are still their then it will still have time to produce seeds, if you think if a plant thats reached harvest but left a few weeks longer then it produces its own pollen and self polinates, so it still has time to produce seeds even if it reaches harvest.
hopefully you will notice a change soon and be able to pollinate the first plant, in thet past ive harvested plants but left the buds with seeds in on the plant until the seeds are ready so theirs still time to produce seeds

Kick me if my memory lapsed, but I thought he was testing to see if Silver thiosulfate would stress the plant just enough to generate the male pollen sacks? If yes, then isn't his goal to find a reliable way to create male pollen from a (choice) female plant for preservation purposes, so finding the method is more important than the end result?

I am pretty sure the goal is to end up with 100's of feminized seeds. Not an exploration of processes to obtan that result. Maybe its just symantics. Who knows, Im high.

you are both correct. this is the first time i have tried to make seeds using a silver thiosulfate solution and the first time i have grown LA Confidential to harvest. I am used to a longer flowering time and slower maturation. I am still optimistic that i will produce female pollen and feminized seeds. at worst i should end up with a larger harvest and smaller seed production should LA Confidential number 2 have pistils on it when it produces female pollen.

Now ... I like science, but that stuff is way more than what I had in highschool
