Yea you definitely put my first grow to shame!
Granted mine was a homemade dwc system with nothing but floro tubes and some cfl here and there in the corner of my basement with a windshield reflector wrapped around it and no exhaust lol
(Damn i was a noob!)

But thats besides the point lol

Point is for your first grow your doing one hell of a job!

You did the necessary homework before you started and its showing!

I cant wait to see the end result and yield... And your next grow of course!

I've not read back,, just the pic's looks like your close to max on the height issue, before you have to train them down. Growing is a blast. I've been hooked close to 45 years, and still a newbie... . Hi Wood, Thanks for stopping by. Damn 45 years of growing. I hope you don't mind me looking to you for advice. I started smoking in the early 70's and through a few seeds in the ground over the years but never harvested anything lol. I thought it was time to give it a serious try and I'm having so much fun I feel like a kid learning to ride a bike for the first time lol. I'm off to work now but I will definitely check out your journals when I get a chance.

LMAO, I must be a grower. I do have a question for you. I don't know if you have ever used fox farms nutrients but I here about adding sugars im not sure but I believe it was a teaspoon of molasses per gallon of water. Can you explain what this does and if I need it with the nutrients I'm using. Thanks Wood.

Back to work today. With an hour commute each way I don't get to spend much time with my girls during the week before lights out. The bubble gum plants are really packing on the buds. I believe the stretch is over for my Critical. I will update pics this weekend.

I've never used Fox Farm myself. But I do use molasses to finish up my plants after the final flush. I do know a plant does its photosynthesis, creating sugars all day,, then using them to grow during the night cycle. I'm not sure what Fox Farm and sugar do,,, but it doesn't hurt to add alittle to your feeding regiment. Be careful,, to much will invite fungus gnats. I don't measure mine at the end,, because if I get gnats I plan on harvesting within a week anyways. Somebody else will know more about the combination. Keepem Green

I use advanced nutrients and their bud candy.
Which they say is carbs to help the plants have enough sugar when their making and using sugar like norcaliwood said.

I think they even compare it to humans loading on carbs to finish a race on their website lol

but i havent read it in a while to be honest and im on lunch so i dont have time to look it up atm

It does help tho ive noticed a difference in sugar production.
I tried it on clones last time.

My guy at the hydro shop always tells me go easy with it and to back off almost all together if i use bloombastic
So i use bud candy early flower
Increased to full strength by like week 3
then bloombastic only to half strength by week 6

This depends on the strain too because i noticed that with different flowering times i was off as to when the nutes were in the medium and needed by the plant if that makes sense...

Be careful with molasses and gunky stuff like that. Use it during flush. I mad the mistake of us it through the life cycle of the plant on year and my medium and my roots got all gunked up and fucked up my plants. AN bud candy is good stuff though you can use that stuff in veg and in flower like lootznbootz said its just carbs.

Thank you all for your input I appreciate it. I found that thread about adding sugars and they added 1 teaspoon of blacksrap mollases to a gallon of water and only did it after flushing for the final two weeks or until they finish so I believe that's what I'm going to try. I will try the bud candy my next grow. I like the fact you can add it during your whole grow.

Today I am starting into week 4 of flowering. Day 21 since I started 12/12 on the light.Here is the tale of the tape:
Critical, stretched 4" in week 3 and is 46" tall.
Northern Lights, stretched 8" in week 3 and is 46" tall.
Bubble Gum#1, stretched 2" in week 3 and is 26" tall.
Bubble Gum#2, stretched 2" in week 3 and is 26" tall.
I have been rotating my girls every day to try to give them even exposure to the light. I think the main stretch is over and now they are really packing on the bud sites. The Bubble Gum plants are starting to get a little frosty. I cant imagine what they will look like in another 5 to 7 weeks. That's all for now. Thanks for the compliments. I'm hoping I have some decent yields. Their going to have to pack on the buds if Im going to reach my goal of a pound LOL. I will be happy with whatever I get. This has been a great learning experience. I plan on having a lot of grows In the future I'm hooked on growing now.

I took some pictures tonight to update my journal. Its hard to get much time for the journal during the week for that I apologize. The plants are looking healthy and happy. I've been very fortunate my first grow. I have not had any bugs or leaf deficiencies. The plants are now in the middle of week 4 from switching to 12/12. I have been feeding Fox Farms nutrients at 75% and the Fox Farm beastie bloom at 100%. They only get fed every other watering about once every three days as needed I have noticed the buds really coming on strong this week My Northern Lights has a couple of unruly colas still stretching.

Looking good man! Hey whered you get your northern lights ive never had one stretch that much and get that big i got one phenotype that is literally the runt of every grow.

I got mine from nirvana

I get good yeild off of them but never long branches stacked with bud like that.
Usually its very short small and stocky plants

Anyway looking very good bro i think you might hit your goal easy!
