Oooo..... Purps! I love dark, delicious buds, as you well know. That description sounds like one I'll be working towards.

You planning on holding the pollen-laden male in front of a fan and blowing it over the intended recipients?

They are in the same container and the fan is blowing on the male. I fear I may have altogether too many seeds from this little adventure. I am at least 50% sure seeded bud tastes better but the drawback is it is less bountiful. ( i dont really know about the taste, just kidding)

Seed-o-Rama, Seed-a-Poluza even. If we go 7-8 more weeks in flower my stash should hold for me wifey. while I plan on 2-3 weeks of state of sunshine vacation for halloween for meself. Then-> This should be ready to smoke by Nov maybe second week in. Planing on drying in the refrig, worked for me very well before.
The problem becomes how long will this harvest last when I wanna run Zamaldelica or Nepal Jam next? The Zamal can go 11-14 weeks, the Nepal Jam says 8-9. I dunno I could run my grape cookies reg seeds, more purps! ; - )

I have gathered some pollen. Looks yellow and viable. I did not take any captures of the pollen, still working on gathering and harvesting pollen. I even have cuts in a cup in the window.

It looks like some seeds may have already set on the Triple Purple Rhino female. More Captures.

Would ya look at what I did to the poor boy with the clippers, Yikes!
I did leave a few small growths for maybe a week longer.

There was a bunch of balls opening last night, yellow pollen on the leaf tops, so the clippers came out in a big way. I figure the pruning will slow it down a little. I want to wait till I am sure the girl is mature enough to do its best with the pollen and make viable seeds. They will be Triple Purple Rhino Non-Fem Regular.

How I hope the wife likes.
Looking at the description of some of the strains in the hybrid this should have some good power.
for example the sour bubble from B O G sounds like a potent indica ( a bubblegum-ish kush, maybe?)
All example medically show good effect on pain, which is purfeeect for wife-y.

The triple Purple Doja in its lineage is a Double Purple Doja crossed with a Double Purple Doja X Black Cherry Doja all of which has Hybrid lineage to much to list but includes Sputnik #1 and Black Russian.

I wanted purple grapes I think I got it![h=3][/h]

Official update for the period of after first week of 11/13.
Blossoms Bloomin heads all empty and I dont care.

Pulled back for a profile view. I think i will have some mature seeds from the looks of it.

I watered in 2 liters of bubbled overnight RO water with my special tea, chamomile. Not really special but I had a tea bag handy. This should complete the water in of the last top dress of re-amendment and EWC I did a while back. I also have the blu mat to drip while I am gone It holds just under 1 liter and slowly drains out over q 4-5 day period.

Next plan is to prune some leafs back and top dress toward the end of the month. Then let it finish with out too much muckin about.

Red Light update

the gro.w.m.au5 far red puck I had timed for one hour on toward the end of lights on with about 10 min of red only after the main lights go out. I think 15 min is the consensus target time. So I had a solution, i hope I turned the strip the timer is in off for a couple of min today then back on This should cause the light to stay on a little longer after main lights go out. I figure out the time by looking at the clock when the light go out and then again when I here the red light timer click off nuthing scientific but close enough...


I think this is post 1991 for me!

Did a little top leveling or attempt at leveling I am going for 6 tops here is the capture I put numbers for reference.

The bottom tops are stretching good, number 5 and 6
The next up the stem are 4 and 3. 3 is being twisted from below the main stem but not lagging to bad. just a bit of a problem getting 3 into a good position.
Number 1 & 2, the 'top' tops are very healthy, they snap back into position very quickly. Gotta bring them down for now to let 3 &4 catch up.

I have a bunch of cuts in a cup let it drop and filter it through a screen and gather up dry it and then into the frig for longer term.

Looking good in here. I like your seed making project. I can't wait to have a room to grow out a male and a female together.

I have a feeling you're going to be fairly heavily seeded if the male was starting to drop pollen on the leaves when he was next to her. I'd go for a quick finisher after her as her bud is going to end up as mostly larf once you get the seeds out.

Indeed, last time I grew two together I had more seeds than i could believe. Actually I dont remember how I got so many seeds that first time.
My hope is by taking away the male early enough it will grow buds later with no seed. I flipped 10 days ago and first pistil 7 days ago. I would like the girl to be flowering for 2 weeks for proper seeding.
Then I like to get at least 6 weeks for the seed to mature in the bud.

I am plucking the balls and will shake out pollen after a week then store it or use it. I think I have enough to go on now but a little extra will be nice.

It will be nice to have a new seed addition to the seed stock.
If I recall right now I have:
Auto CBD x Orient express non fem
. . . then I Orient Express Back crossed the Auto CBD x Orient express non fem
And some Pakistan Chitral Kush X Kali China selfed

that is all I can remember but I think I did more seeds, I had a super skunk but I dont think I seeded it. I got to make a list !
And I have to plant more seeds!

GeeZoo....... I put Auto CBD, when I meant Auto CBG, CBG like CannaBioGen.........GeeZoo.

the Auto CBG cross with orient express flowers so quick I can never tell it if is auto or just express......


Now I remember, I splashed Orient express pollen on one branch of my last PCKxKC I tied the branch with string it is still in the cure jar. Not sure if it took. that pollen is old, I did freeze a pack of it, hope I can find it now, someday not today.

S I think I have 4 type of home made seed now.

And the wife gets good smoke that I dont have to pay an arm and leg for. And the cat gets infused oil which has seemed to help. I just watched him jump across almost 3 feet from a chair to the bed, little fecker is in better shape than me.

I am really happy to see you working your way through some Ace strains. I plan on doing some different Ace genetics in the near future.

ACE really got me hooked from the beginning. I had some emails with Luis. And then saw a video of him from spanibis 2014 or 15. And I was like he is saying all the things I believe in, conservation, landrace, and just a great attitude. But I digress.

here is did a comparison shot of white balance settings. First one is with white balance in AUTO Second is with WB on the tungsten light setting (3000K) first one is much more yellow, Second more natural greens.

The plant is lambs quarter growing in an almond milk container. The experimental soil mix is about equal mix EWC, coffee grounds, Chicory grounds, Dandelion root grounds, then a cup of bag soil and 2-3 cups of rice hulls. it drains very quickly and dries out as well quickly. just and experiment at a pile of stuff sort of thing to grow in.

Here is the last of the Male Triple purple Rhino in the window, I dont need any more pollen flying around my re-veg is seeded beyond belief and my Triple purple Rhino looks to be forming plenty of seed. So of to the races. I dont expect more than 1/2 a 0z. tiny plant it seems to be.
Here is the end of the boy in the window. It had stretched like crazy not so much with the sister.

A close up of a top. I have missed my close ups. The Triple purple Rhino has been know to have purp trichs. So Yay.

You can see the pollinated pistils turnin brown.
I love young button tops. Humidity is high as always but temps have been steady around 80-82 with lights on settles to 70 at night.

I have pretty much removed any 'tie downs' any thing that remains are more to separate the tops. not quite level but i am content.

Next is one of my home cross (a sativa pheno) Re Veg that is heavily seeded. Which is fine, the theory as I understand it is these seeds will be not so good because the plant is so heavily stressed from the re veg the seeds will likely be total Hermaphrodites. It was just another experiment. I have been feeding it tap water, which I never do to my production plants. I might just tart to flush it with RO water to se if I can help it and get maybe a gram at the finish.

Maximum recommended perlite is about 1/3, so I would think 1/3 is a maximum for rice hulls as well.

I really don't understand why they would be useless. With a small space, it's a risk to run unproductive seeds, but a lot of what people call hermaphrodite is less than 10 seeds. Not major polination like your boys in the window.

I'm with Rad. I don't see where any hermie tendency, that might be there, would be an issue with your growing style. Those are some gorgeous flowers the mother is sprouting.

Thank you for posting this picture. There are so few pictures of males. Yes, there is the fem seed thread, but that's a freak show of plants. Having pictures of actual males helps people that are wanting to learn how to breed, better evaluate males.

I wanna run golden tiger one day. Bangi Haze is a must run for me should stay a manageable size if i recall. orient express and the bangi haze were the first 2 ace strains i ever considered but i went with pck x kc.
The description of the kali china breeding sold me "compact and fast flowering plant of indica behavior"

I cannot say that I have noticed anything different on the Triple Purple Rhino, but by chance I moved my milk container with some Lambs Quarter growing in it. It got moved closer to the far red and it started flowering in 3 days. It may have been ready to flower anyway, but it was a noticeable change.

My TPR is flowering nicely It gets ~13 min of far red at lights out and is on just before lights out for ~47 min. I might chop 30 min off that next month.

There's some Orient Express concentrate at one of the stores here that's 50% CBD, so if you were looking for a CBD strain...

I was looking at kali China for a while too. Golden tiger and panama x Malawi were rhea ones I bought and they sent me some bangI haze free.
