The plants, whether vegetable or Marijuana might not be as large and their harvest might be a bit smaller

It’s much better in my opinion to have a slightly smaller harvest free of PM versus having an abundance covered in it. It doesn’t do me much good to have a huge yield only to lose half of it to mildew.

Was lazy and didn’t check the plants again last night.. growing real loosey goosey this time. Tonight I’ve gotta get in there and make sure everyone’s training is still going okay. I’ll snap pictures so we can make the final call on who’s going where.

The majority of what I’ve learned came from you saying something, me not believing it and trying it to prove you wrong then realizing you were right all along 😂 Carbon was the biggest one, and boy did I waste time on that lol. Now, every chance I get I mention the tub of coco I keep outside

Gee drops ridiculous amounts of knowledge in my journals, on par with and perhaps more so than his own Gee spot thread. In the beginning though he used to not use the enter key or the space bar so @Azimuth and I had to spend a lot of time reading walls of text. I believe we actually had a conversation about it and approached Gee at the same time about his walls of text 😂 I was thankful for the the Druid level information but it was really hard to digest it 🤣
Walls of text???? I prefer the term "Spam" 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

You guys just want it itemized to make your journal page counts grow🤣

I'm onto you two🤪

Fun fact to help everyone along.... Marijuanna actually HAS been classified AS a vegetable. Vegetable rules apply.
Who on Earth classed cannabis as a vegetable and why?

Lol another fun fact.... hemp seed supplied the fats and oils that greatly aided our enormous brains to become enormous. It wasn't meat.

Hemp was here before us. It brought us out of the jungle.

Google "nutritional value hemp seed" Its the original super food. The calorie count is massive. Its about 60 calories per tablespoon and for our ancestors, it came in a nice package that was easy to carry and required no storage rules other than being kept dry.

It was a food until it was a drug. Now legalization has made it a food again.

The real question should be "Who classified this super food as a drug?"

Experts have a tendency to ramble sometimes. For those of us with the same obsession, the ramble is welcomed with open arms. I don’t mean to speak for everyone, but I think it’s true. I’ve been gleefully reading his response to my comment all afternoon. It really is a lot to digest, but he dumbed it down perfectly for me…

Expert... no. I just try to learn one thing new every day. I have learned a lot of it here.

My motto in life is "If you didn't learn something new today, you wasted the day".

Others taught me so Karma stipulates I must return the favor.👊

Thats how 420 works. The whole is greater than the sum of it's parts.

Thats why I don't do journals. I would rather help new organicists win the accolades. Not for the prizes, just to help them with the basics to succeed. Thats why I started Gee Spot. It's perpetual so its exempt from contests.

Patience with nay-sayers and figuring out a dialogue that makes it easy to understand is the tough part.

At the end of the day the extremely complicated system of organics is super simple if someone explains it in plain english.

Once they get it in general it becomes a form of artistic impression and they can slant it a million different ways to put their own touch on it.

Then you see some very cool stuff.

When people learn how to grow anything successfully it brings them great pride and joy. I love watching them proudly display their art.

Art from the heart makes the world a better place.

Everything I preach isn't about how to grow weed.

It's just about how to grow.

If something I say or do adds to your repertoire and next grow you win Plant of the Month we all win because we get to see a beautiful plant😊.

I have been struggling to get my brix over 21 for a long time. Helping Azi figure out why his plants were suffering lead to him saying one simple thing and POW, it hit me in the face. I applied it and 1st go they jumped to 25 on my best plant, so I get rewarded nicely for sharing.

I’ve been looking for soft rock phosphate.. I can find Rock Phosphate and SuperPhos but not SRP.. I was looking online though and apparently Down To Earth sells two versions of Rock Phosphate at 0-3-0 and 0-13-0 I think one of those will be SRP.. I did learn though that it’s also called Calphos so I may have to return to the store with that information.

It’s a bit frustrating though because all of the growing stores and garden stores I go to seemed to be stocked with employees that grow in very specific ways (hydro and synthetic constantly), none of which are fully organic like us so when I start asking questions they all have a blank stare and don’t know what I’m talking about. It’s happened with Hydrolyzed fish, SRP, Gypsum, greensand, azomite, Vermiculite and a few other things so far and it’s annoying. It’s always disheartening when I know more than the employees.. Why can’t everyone be equally autistic?! 🤣🤣
Hey Keff I went back to the beginning of your journal to look at the Runtz Punch description and I saw this post. I meant to mention this before and forgot. Cattle feed stores are excellent places to find organic inputs in bulk for cheap. I get 50 lbs of dolomite or gypsum for about 20 bucks each. They stock all the minerals pretty much.

It's like crowdsourcing a grow. We all become better growers from the discussion, even if it's not our plant. I often pick up tidbits that help me directly or that I can share with others.

Growers here really do want to be helpful and that's what makes this place special.

A few observations.. the plant stems are much fuzzier than normal as seen here:

IMG_5826.jpeg

The stems look fuzzy/blurry which if I remember correctly is a sign of a good myco connection and a healthy soil. @Gee64 have you heard of that?

Also, one of the plants is calling for a bit more than the others.. it keeps flashing it’s serrations at me, you can see it in this image:
IMG_5811.jpeg

The mains have an almost pixelated appearance to their serrations. This goes up and down.. I believe this is the plant telling me it would like a little more calcium.

I’ve also notice a slight bit of purple striping on one of the plant stems.. this is usually a signal that K is gonna be required soon. Another potential sign of it is the size of these finger leaf bases as seen circled here:
IMG_5812.jpeg

The base of the finger leaves are somewhat thinner. This could be the pheno or it could be K which would lineup with the purple striping.

We’ll watch it closely.

This weekend the 10 gallons are getting planted. I will take the females and transplant in. Any of the plants I’m on the fence about will either get left in their current pots or I will transplant them into 3s or 5s. If they go into a 3 or 5 they’ll get the supersoil but I will also use Geoflora to power through bloom.

A Geoflora observation.. The Apple Betty that was fed Geoflora has burnt tips. This could be calcium or it could be the Geoflora itself.. I’ll snap a pic tonight but I have a feeling I may have spaced out and given the plant a bit more than the recommended feeding

I'm not exactly sure but I would bet myco is a player. When I see that fuzzy look it's when the whole plant is really growing well. It usually happens a couple weeks in when the myco is linked, the spikes and/or layers are kicking in, and the microbes are going.

It also boosts higher and fuzzier when you add a microbe/compost tea and the tea kicks in.

😱 Spaced out!!

Keff were you high on drugs??!!

No Gee, I was high on vegetables!😁

If you try to get the red out and it won't leave and its only in some plants, The Rev's genetics contain a lot of red.

Some phenos have a deep maroon/leaning-towards-real-red color.

Those ones flower and finish spectacularly.

Yep this plays. Right now is when everybody is linked up and playing their parts. I wasn’t gonna use teas but WTH maybe one could really fire it up

It’s definitely a reddish coloring on the petioles not purple, I don’t get the same vibe I get when the purple happens from P and calmag problems

Male identified.. This one was a much more vigorous grower than the others except for the Runtz Punch.. This same thing played out last grow, and the grow before. Time to make a mental note. There’s another plant with similar growth.. It’s looking like I may get one or two females off the blue Thai

It’s hard to see in these images but it’s a ball at the end of a stick look.. actually reminds me of the Super Bowl trophy which is humorous because I don’t really watch sports yet know what the trophies look like
