I highly recomend you dont top or HST the Autos. Vey limited window of grow with Auto's and yiel will dramatically suffer. If this your your plan for the photo girl, then carry on. ;)

ok, i take back what i said. i was just reading that once a leave goes yellow, its green hue will not return :/

pay attention to only new growth to read the plant.

Wanted to share a pic of a clone with 3 tops, I accidentally broke this branch off during LST in 12/12.

Shes exactly 1 month today, vegged under 1 13w 6500k CFL with 24 hour lighting. 24 hour lighting cause I want her roots to stay small, I've read most root growth takes place during lights off. 1 CFL as close as possible to keep her small and tight.

69% of my screen has a top coming out of it I had 114 holes in my screen and counted 77 tops 10 of which were lollitops, (yes I made that up :)) very small bud site and weak flimsy stem, long internode; over 2" with only 1 bud site at the very top.

Plant #2 (Left hand plant) has 42 tops 4 Small lollipop tops
Plant #1 (Right hand plant) has 35 tops 6 small lollipop tops

So far my experience working with both plants I prefer the scrog screen at 5" as opposed to the 8" height of the other plant (for the time being, I do find it more tricky trying to predict where to place certain branches)

I know its too early to say till harvest but I'm guessing the left plant will outproduce the right which was my guess from about week 3 of veg.

I can say with certainty for SS Kali Mist that I prefer aggressively topping with LST, I recently discovered I'm not a fan of super cropping and did not notice any improved rate of growth. The Clone has been topped nearly 10x and will get topped a lot more in the following weeks to prepare her for another round of scrogging :)

So true, both the plant itself and when we smoke it lol. I wonder if the clone will get that explosive vegetative growth my seedlings got at weeks 3-5. Hope not lol Also I wonder if 1 Kali clone would be enough to fill all 114 squares in 1-2months time :)

Update

There doesn't appear to be much growth going on (very disappointing) the only thing she appears to be doing is producing thc crystals everywhere. I did notice today there is a very sweet aroma in the air now, its one of the best smells from cannabis to me. sweet, semi cannabis smell with subtle undertones. health is pretty much the same and bottom leaves continue to yellow from nitrogen loss. My clone is 1 day behind my 2 girls and shes been packing on weight daily all parameters are in check and lush green leaves , I wonder if my 2 girls aren't producing much due to the miracle grow and possible deficiencies?

The new Maxibloom nutes John recommended comes in today. I've been watering with regular water in preparation of the maxbibloom. Should I flush the old miracle grow out? I'll be using this new formula on all my plants including those in veg > miracle grow.


Totally unrelated, the wifey and I don't see eye to eye on the whole growing thing, she doesn't want to see clones in our bedroom closet every day, so I moved them to the guest room and into a book shelf. It's not very stealthy which I don't like and my wife thinks its a bad idea having it in 2 rooms, which I agree. So to please her I'm gonna try to put something small and cheap together to veg clones that she wont be able to see in our closet. I have a small 80 CFM can fan that should help with ventilation and probably some scrap wood, if anyone knows of a quick easy solution, I'm all ears :)

Going forward I'll be including periodic pics of the Clones replacing the current 2 as a continuation of this journal (I have 2 clones in Veg but I'd like to use only 1 plant this time in the scrog, we'll see)

Look at maxibloom ingredients list, probably identical to miracle gro. What temps you hitting? Over 90f im guessing?
 
the max temp I hit was 88.9F only been in there since yesterday though. She had a nitrogen deficiency few weeks back, then too much nitrogren but no nute burn. then heat stress yesterday, I feel sorry for these clones, neglecting them like crazy and stressing them out to stall growth lol Starting today I'm gonna treat her like a first class plant lol

14/10 light schedule, no timer so this is easiest for me to manually control. I have big plans for this one particularly in the way shes trained during veg.

I'm posting up some pics of my sativa clone straight to flower as we speak. I'm pretty impressed with her for 1 nights growth
