Kali Mist CFL Scrog Grow Journal - 05-19-13

Hi CrimsonBlitz

I use 2 rooms to keep everything concealed. Flower upstairs in a closet type room and Veg in the basement in a closet type room. each have doors with locks so I can keep guest out if I have visitors.

My wife just sprung on me today that she wants to try a more sativa type plant. So this Cali Mist being 90% sativa would work :) I also been looking at Blue Dream as well.

I have a new interest in your grow now... because I will probably be growing it in the future.

*PS: I was reading that women like this strain to reduce menstrual cramps and that it may make women horney... Say What!? Did you know and or read that it may make women horney? :rofl: Does your wife know? :)
 
lmao scarfinger, I needed a good laugh. Wish my wife was as understanding about growing as yours lol.

I've never smoked Kali Mist before, so I can't speak on its behalf as of yet. Blue Dream is a great smoke though, lot of great things on it. 2 strains that really have attention are, Jack herer, my personal favorite and C99 another variation of jack herer.

I have never read that Kali makes women horny, but if it does.... My wife is getting a special batch of brownies or Mollies lol :). I do feel some strains enhance libido and sex, slow time down, enhance pleasure etc but I've only had that happen like twice lol. I've read multiple reports about the menstrual cramps which I brought up, wife didn't particularly care.

Exactly what I wanted to hear, Thank you John. its not time to water till tomorrow and I've been flushing a lot previously, I really want to get the miracle grow out asap and start on the maxibloom. Can I flush today?

My wife has had chronic pain for 10 years and I couldn't take living with her anymore. She was smoking some herb here and there and saying how much better it made her feel. I noticed she was easier to be around also. So... I started growing to make her feel better and to save our marriage. I even get laid more often now :) I mentioned that Kali Mist may make her want to have sex more and she said... "I doubt it". So I will be on a 1 or 2 times a month schedule unless Kali Mist works it's magic. :) (*Come on Kali Mist*) :rofl:

Thanks John, I already flushed before your advice, it was early but I wanted to get any possible nute defencies fixed asap. I just finished flushing all the plants and was wondering if I could fertilize with the maxibloom today? I'm sure its probably better to wait. I'll try to patiently wait for your advice :) the directions says 1-2 teaspoon / gallon. what do you recommend for my girls?

lol interesting story :) Hope Kali Mist lives up to her reputation, Will let you know soon enough. Which strains and pheno do you mostly smoke? I use it for recreational purposes so its all about the high for me. I know plenty of people who use it for medical purposes though and they agree, if your gonna smoke why not have a great high lol

Nirvana's Northern Lights is her favorite. Tried Nirvana bubblelicious (no go, but it was only my second grow), Snow White (its ok so far, I really got this current snow white right where I want it with ambers... so hopefully its better this go around), Nirvana ICE is being harvested so I will have to wait and see... and I just planted 5 Aurora Indicas (Afghan x NL) from Nirvana.

Mainly was looking for an Indica pain reliever. I think this Aurora Indica is going to be the one for that. Then I will move on to a Sativa.
 
just gave my girls 16 oz each of pure water with a tiny bit of topmax (very diluted seaweed and humic acid) hoping my girl moves her nitro around a bit.

your plants look really good and healthy. the mist will def step up becuase it looks like a killer sativa plant. im used to skunk or chemdawg but i want some real sativas.

1. Use 2-5 ml of Top·Max™ per liter of
water (1,5 - 3 teaspoons per Gallon).
2. Replace with every nutrient change
during the bloom cycle.

i recommend you start with 1 teaspoon and work your way up to 1 1/2 teaspoons per gallon. if you see signs of nutrient burn i would flush again and give your plants a lower dosage.

Morning Scarfinger, happy weed day buddy. Northern lights is a potent and good pain relieving strain. Atomic Northern Lights is very potent as well, its a hybrid. I've been told by Medical patients its top grade. Personally, for a balanced strain with high pain relief blue dream is probably the one. Its very good stuff by my standards. I've read that Kali Mist provides a euphoric, energetic, clear cutting high along with moderate pain relief. What caught my attention the most with this strain aside from the amazing high, was energetic - can not fall asleep for few hours with this smoke. perfect by my book lol. I'm sure you know this but indica's typically produce better pain relief as most of your strains are indicas/hybrids with the CBD being a key chemical usually higher in indicas. Sativas on the other hand typically have lower cbd high thc and is generally used for the high not the medicinal properties, but patients who enjoy being up and about while enjoying pain relief might grab for a balanced sativa.

Good morning b.real. Thank you for the compliment. I'll be honest I dont get the fertilizer stuff very much. I really need to educate myself more on it. I just try to keep things simple, find a well balanced nute that contains all the essentials she needs and see how my plants respond.

I learned MG was a dud nute, and was missing CA and MG which John pointed out (thank you John) I'm guessing it was my soil that had all the nutrients for the plants during the veg phase, was high quality soil with all kinds of stuff inside bone meal worm castings kelp etc was a long list. once everything was depleted the plants werent getting vital nutrients it needed and things just went downhill. At least thats my assessment so far.

I remember you stating you felt your girls had a slight nute burn, did you change your mind and conclude N deficiency?

I'm sure as you already know this, but hopefully theres knowledge for others to gain. Typically for soil mediums a flush is to eliminate any possible nute or salt build ups. assuming equal amounts of nutrients provided to a plant lets say A B and C. A plant might use more of Nute A and less of nutes B and C so after awhile what happens is you get an excessive amount of 1 ingredient which needs to be flushed away.

Some macro and micro nutrients compete against eachother in nutrient uptake, so its always good to keep everything in balance.

Typically nutes are not added after a soil flush, there will most likely still be some remains of nutes in the soil and the plant will use up some of its reserves till the next watering cycle where you can give her a thorough and balanced amount of nutes. :)
