Hi JZ,

I don't know much about breeding/genetics and even less about the auto flowering strains...but I think Granny420 would be jealous. If I'm not mistaken she wants to breed a bunch of autoflowering seeds for personal stock. If I understand her currently running journal correctly. I'm kinda behind on her journal...maybe she's done with it now, don't know for sure, I don't like to jump ahead.

That was the only reason I let the guy live, I wanted autoflowering seeds They're great for a quick/early outdoor harvest! I'm probably going to pass them all to my pal up north, he's got this gorgeous Indoor/Outdoor greenhouse he's built, retractable plastic roof, etc.

The Dynamite seed never would germinate, so I just took 4 cuts off the Amazonia and stuck them in rapid rooters with cloning gel, then put them in one of the pods.

I've got the 'creeping crud' from work, so decided I'd lay low today and try to break this fever - catching up on some reading and medicate.

Okay, I took the girl out of the tent so I could get some *real* color shots for you. Of the 20 or so pictures I took, only these survived (a couple were the result of judicious cropping!).

As I start wrapping up this journal, I'm fairly satisfied. This was to re-build my confidence, as the past year really beat me up, as far as growing meds was concerned. I feel like once I get a better handle on cloning, and start using veg/flowering cycles, I can stick with the OC+ and coir, but finally add adjuncts to the finish (i.e. Gravity and SSO) to bulk up the buds.

Thanks to all of you again for supporting me, even when I felt like giving this up, the kindness, encouragement and great vibe on got from you helped carry me through.

I even noticed them (trics) all over the bottom of some of the sugar leaves...

I agree with frat...I mean vape. What happened there? Is that right? Did you change screennames? I thought you couldn't do that?

JZ...your diligence paid off. Those are some good pics of a beautiful plant...and you know how I love the pics! Hope you get to feeling better. Wow wasn't today beautiful??!!!

Oh man... Now you and Propa got me thinking about trichomes...so I remembered this thread, or a post, or a blog...I can't remember which, and it was titled something like "It's all about the Trichomes" I can't find this now and it's driving me crazy! Does that ring any bells?

Trying to resist pulling the trigger on this to replace the behemoth I have now. I figure make a permanent PVC scrog frame 8" above the pots, mount my LEDs with about 6" clearance from the top, add vent fans, and away I go. The whole tent will fit into my large bedroom closet, and there's egress for electricity

Just time for something a little more compact - I think as far as a base system goes, I'm pretty set, and the big tent is a pain in the ass for these old bones to wrangle anymore. Had I any decent hand with needle and thread like SteveHMan, I'd cut the canvas on the big one and make a something out of it but I'll probably just donate it to a med patient who needs and can use it.

Picked up a 40x loupe (with dual white LED lighting!), I found it much easier to use than those damn microscopes - shaky hands and poor eyes made trich inspection more of a chore than a joy! The loupe is perfect for me - the tall girl's trichs are almost all cloudy now, I'm guessing another 2-3 weeks before I chop (FINALLY. I mean, do you know how long it's been since I harvested MY OWN MEDS?!) - you can't believe how stoked I am to have success at last.

I thought about clones the other day, as the ones in the root riot cubes died (RIP), and remembered how easy I'd make cuttings of my mom's philodendrons, wandering jew, coleus, etc. Why not Blackwater? Took 4 or 5 cuts and put them in the same water as the reservoir, with a drop of rooting solution. 4 days out? All the leaves full, firm and green with little nodules forming. Hoping for the best, for sure. I envision 3xAmazonia and 3xBlackwater, scrogged under a couple of 300W's from Donnie, and just take cuts right before the flip. If the 'Your Mom's Cloning Method' works, that will sure make *my* life easier

As soon as I get the new tent and replace the Brand X with another GSL300 Pro-Bloom, I'll start a new continuous grow journal. I think it's time.

Thats a nice little tent JZ! I made some tents out of 1/2 PVC, panda film, duck tape and tarp zippers when I had to. I used two layers white sides facing in and out, black sides together and staggered the holes and zippers so it was light-tight. They did the job, but the specially made tents are much more elegant and will probably last many years.

harvest time...I'm so happy for you! The new tent sounds good, more managable anyway. Did you ever get all the water/plumbing stuff worked out?

Clones are easy...look at my journal, my method would work for your style growing and it's pretty fool proof...I've done it successfully several times now. If I can do it, anybody can.

I scored this one. Did the chop of the tall girl tonight. Letting the little ones finish up and go more amber. Looks like a decent bean pull, 3 dropped out on my screen just while trimming, probably another dozen.

The 3 Blackwater cuts I took and just placed in water all have a single root poking out now, I'll let some rootlets pop out, then it's into the coir with 'em - also took 3 cuts off the Amazonia, so when those root up, I'll have my six girls for the new tent/scrog set up.

I know I'm not gonna harvest a ton, bit holy crap, did it feel good know that I finally have meds I grew myself. Even if when dry and cured, I only get enough to last for a couple of weeks - I did it all myself.

Okay Folks - calling this a wrap. I wish to thank Donnie from GSL and the admins and moderators here at for allowing me to do this.

I couldn't recommend Donnie's GSL-300 Pro-Bloom more highly; like other new technology driven units, this delivers:

Still drying the buds from the shorter phenos, but so far, just in drying, collected 11 beans from the tall pheno; there's plenty more coming. Can't wait until the cure is finished (I'm really picky about my cure too - probably 2-3 weeks), and I sample from my first harvest in a long damned time!

My "Your Mom's Cloning Method" seems to be working; roots getting bigger, and fresh cuts looking fantastic. Shut off the Brand X LED unit - looks like I'll be dropping a dime or wheelin'-dealin' with Donnie for something to fill in the new (smaller) tent.

Mods - let's call this one done. I'll update with a smoke report in a few weeks. Once again, without all your support and love and help and belief in ME - I could not have done this. I love you, my 420 family.
