So this is what I've noticed with most people and along with my training is that when removing lower large fan leaves during trading, especially damaged ones; the plant recovers quickly and grows much fasted. I've noticed how much faster they drink waster as well! Here's
Both of the plants below have I continued to take the fan leaves off that grow below what I will call the "lower canopy" when the plant is allowed to grow a little taller. During training I don't want them to bushy. Just enough for my Brix foliar to not burn the girls (which I have done). Once my roots have set I want the plant to produce as many stems and tops as possible. So I keep it as thin as necessary at the moment to get the growth I want. These three plants are growing with the hopes that they come out like Duggans, in going to transplant soon I hope into 10gal pot before flower, that's the plan anyway. But more than likely I'll by the DIY air pot walls and built some 10 or 15 depending on how much cooked soil I have left.
You're plants are coming along nicely but I don't think keeping the damaged leaves on is doing the plant any good other than for photosynthesis and I think your plants would do better with out them if your going to be training right now. If it were "me" I'd removed them all and hit with light mixed DeStress and lightly misted over the canopy. That's my move tho. Have a good one bud ..
