Jon's Sneak It In Auto Grow

Congratulations for creating this award winning journal Jon! It's been such fun watching you perform your magic! Thank you!
Thank YOU @StoneOtter - your participation is invaluable and much appreciated. Now quit making me blush. Lol.

Thank Pink Rozay is certainly a muscular looking plant Jon!

Congrats on your JOTM victory. :Rasta:

Pink Rozay
Day 35
Outdoor Day!

Finally a rain free day. Been a while. She’ll enjoy the sun and soak it in! 35 days in and we have stretch and pistils but no budlets yet. Interestingly, this untopped main cola is not stretching as fast as the rest of the plant. I figured she’d be up above everyone else by now. The strain seems to be sending most of it’s stretching energy into new side branching, which is very thick-stemmed, versus vertical growth.

Beautiful.

Reference Point Saturday
Watermelon Wedding Cake XXL Auto

Here’s one I trained Dual Sombrero a few grows back and grew in the 3x3 in a 7 of coco with PB nutes. This strain is insane. Much different with even canopies this time. Can’t wait to see what happens.

Time to Get Serious in the Blurple Closet

You guys can see what I did. I couldn’t let these girls flower in that space that looked like it should be on Hoarders. Most importantly:

- way better fan game
- raised the blurple up high so it’s shining down on the plants, still in reds
- removed all the clothes and stuff, dramatically improving my light reflectivity
- tightened up the fans/cords/power strips so now to get to the plants all I have to do is slide the table out of the way
- thoroughly cleaned the space and removed all water from the drip trays

Here’s the new reality. 100% improvement.

Wait what?! You’re American!

Oh.

Changes everything 🤣

Actually I just realised I’m wearing a pretty punchy Nike (Oregon) T-shirt with three stylised Lions roaring with an English flag on that represent the English national sports teams and I’m watching a James Bond movie (Goldeneye)

So a bit of (healthy) nationalism is probably no bad thing!

Congrats on the win!

Nick & Co (she concurs)

Lol! It’s the only thing I had around to cover the stupid refrigerator. Believe me, I am an American with a brain. (This is rare). As such, I take no pride in being an American. I grew up from silly national pride a long time ago, when I realized America is the most racist, homophobic, self-centered, short-sighted and dim witted country full of idiots on the global map.

These girls are taking over my whole damn closet. Here’s the girls and a shot of the side branching on the Pink Rozay.

To compare the two - the Apple Fritter has much more stretch is the first thing. The AF has approximately doubled or close to it, while I wouldn’t say the Pink Rozay has come close to doubling. The PR’s stretch seems more relevant to the side branching than the vertical growth. She has dramatically increased her number of bud sites in the stretch. The AF has too but not as dramatically.

Both plants are going to finish around 2 1/2 feet tall and maybe 2-3 wide. One of these in a 3x3 would work very well. In veg, I would think one would be able to generate a larger canopy (for example) with the AF. She is much more active in veg than the PR, who didn’t really go off til the stretch started.

Both plants respond very well to chem nutes and coco, at least the PB and Remo nutes. Neither girl blinked on the nute switch. It’s as if it never happened. And both seem to be relatively okay with an indoor type climate.

Not that anyone is gonna run to the seed store, lol, but there’s what I see so far.

These kind of autos make me want to try 12 in 3s in the 5x5. Lol.

Both plants look great of course I love your Apple Fritter the most, but they both are very healthy plants. You definitely know what you are doing.

I know a little. Everyone I aspire to knows a lot.

Ha! I found and have successfully purchased the beast of auto beasts when it comes to quality - wait til you guys see this one - I’m over the moon. NASC was out of stock on it as were others. Seedsman had it though, in 5-packs only, they were out of stock on other sizes. One way you can tell an auto must be good is when you find it’s out of stock everywhere. So I now have 5 seeds of this coming:

FASTBUDS > STRAWBERRY GORILLA AUTO
Our exceptional genetic selection gives birth to the marvelous Strawberry Gorilla Auto, a spectacular hybrid known for producing yields of up to 600gr/m2 in 70 days. This variety is very manageable but grows up to 150cm so it’s recommended for more experienced growers as a huge plant can be too overwhelming for first-timers to handle. This overall balanced hybrid strain produces a pungent berry and diesel terpene-rich effect that knocks your taste buds off and alleviates muscle pain while leaving you with a huge smile from ear to ear, the perfect choice for those looking for a day-and-night autoflower.

Bud description

Strawberry Gorilla Auto nugs are extremely frosty, a true work of art. This variety produces lime-green buds with oversized spade-shaped tips and bright-orange hairs that add beautiful fuzzy streaks of golden throughout the buds. This strain reeks of a gassy strawberry lollipop aroma that only gets stronger as you break the buds open, so expect flowers that are as rich in terpenes as they’re heavy in resin.

Smoke report

This autoflower offers a powerful hybrid high. Strawberry Gorilla Auto effects start in the head as an intense feeling of happiness that boosts creativity and It’ll have you as deep in your thoughts as you can be.
After a couple of minutes, the strong effect slowly moves to the rest of the body and anchors you down, leaving your mind and body deeply relaxed. It’s an all-day strain for those looking to get the best of both worlds as this variety is strong and hits you with a strong pulsating wave on the mind and body without being too narcotic, while still opening up the mind artistically.

Plant appearance

Expect extremely vigorous plants with chunky resin-coated buds. Strawberry Gorilla Auto develops medium-sized fan leaves and a typical Christmas tree structure, with a tall main cola and several long side branches that can handle the huge buds effortlessly. Thanks to the exquisite genetic selection, the buds produce very small sugar leaves, making your trimming as easy as possible while leaving resin to grow where it really matters: the buds.

Grow tips

We highly recommend a carbon filter as this is an extremely pungent strain that smells a lot and can attract unwanted attention without the right odor control equipment. Make sure to have the growing conditions and airflow on point as this variety will reward you with the finest quality flowers under the right conditions. Due to the dense and compact buds, mold can be a huge problem so if humidity and temperature are an issue, tie down the branches to space them out or defoliate gently to provide enough airflow between the buds.

Flavor

Gassy strawberries taken to a whole new level. Strawberry Gorilla Auto flavors are intriguingly complex, this variety produces terpene-rich trichomes with an overall gassy strawberry aroma that resembles a flavor-packed tropical cocktail with a strong piney background on the inhale. As you exhale, the tropical flavors reveal a more prominent red berry taste that ranges from strawberry to cranberries to guava with a delicate fuel-like background with hints of skunk and citrus that completely coat your whole mouth and throat

Nice find Jon! Will you be getting them going in your new digs? How's the move going?

Here’s what 420FastBuds has to say. Their plant.

1st Place Champion. Winner of the first American Autoflower Cup in Los Angeles, California, in January 2023.
  • One of the strongest autos on the planet. An insane lab test result.
  • The real deal strawberry flavor. The rare terpene profile makes for a genuine and super intense strawberry taste.
  • Perfect all day smoke. A functional everyday high thanks to the Sativa dominant genetics.
  • An auto that can beat photoperiods. Owns the 'Highest Combined Terpenes' title in the 'Home Grow Hash' at the Farmer's Cup 2023 in San Diego, California.
