Jon's Sneak It In Auto Grow

Apple Fritter
Day 30

One month in today. The stretch is definitely on. She’s happy, healthy, and hasn’t blinked on the nute change.

Not sure if you can tell in the whole plant picture, but here she is in total:

Here’s the top, where you can see stretch and dominance already:

Here’s the middle where you can see the ring quickly catching up to the upper colas:

Here’s an attempt to show you the lower ring and the density building up from below:

I’m getting excited.

Wow she is growing like the weed she is. Looks great Jon, you have it dialed in.

Let’s Get Our Canopy In Order

Had to raise Candy, Tootsie, and the Dos Si Dos. Now we have a nice “one canopy” thing going on.

Here’s four different views - I peeled back the tint as much as I can to try and mitigate the pink a little.

Light Adjustment in the Blurple/420h Closet

@Hafta - it is time to bring in the reds for these girls. So I lifted up the blurple and changed it to Bloom, ie, reds. Now we have the best of both worlds.

Look at all the extra grow area you could have if we didn't have to wear clothes.

This is going to be fun to watch.

Are all of the support tubes for your grow tents the same diameter of pipe? (top, bottom, sides)

Hmm…I don’t actually know @Hafta. I have a new GGT 5x5 (unopened) which would be identical to this tent. Then I have a good but cheaper 5x5 (AC Infinity to try) that is also unopened. Not sure if the diameter of the AC tent is the same as the GGTs or not. Probably is. Then I have two different brand 3x3s, one unopened. They are likely the same size but not sure if they would be the same as the 5x5s. But if the usual holds true for all tents, then yes, the tents are designed with the tops, bottoms and side the same diameter. They have to be to go in the corner pieces. The only poles that are usually thinner are the ones that hold the light and stuff in the ceiling.

Does that answer your question? And why do you ask that question?

Sombrero Training Further Info
@NickHardy

Ok, so remember I said the side branching takes care of filling in the lower ring and also adds a ton of growth up top?

Here’s some good examples that display what I mean. I have a hard time getting people to get past the supposed blocking of light and the distance between the tops and bottoms and believe this style really yields as I claim, but this is why.

Here’s an upper cola branch and a lower ring branch. Just look at the side branching. On the bottom branch, at least the largest two side branches will fill in the space on either side of this main, which fills in the ring between two colas as well. The same thing is happening up top. It will get to the point where you will have to pick and choose what to keep.

Just wait til you see her once we’re post stretch and everything is set. This is going to be a productive plant.

Addendum: I forget what plant this was, @NickHardy, but it’s a perfect example of Sombrero Quad, exactly like my Apple Fritter, but with one major difference. On this one I DID top side branches. So as I went minimalistic on the current AF, this is more like what I usually do with this style. You can see how many more colas are in this ring compared to the AF. But each cola on the AF will be bigger. Trying to find the sweet spot.

Defoliation in the 420h/Blurple Closet

Goddamn there’s a lot of growth in there. Forgive the droop, they just got watered and defoliated.
