Hopefully anyone who has done the veg/LED and flower/sun thing can relate to this. Every time I see it it blows my mind. The plant’s first day in the sun. It’s fantastic to see how they respond. I have yet to meet a plant who doesn’t prefer the actual sun to any LED. Heh. Just look at LeiLei loving it after only around 6 hours, and there’s a closeup on one of the mains to show you the crazy side branches coming off her.

I thought these pots were supposed to have the roots air prune themselves. Jeez Louise. But I think it’s safe to say I’ve filled this pot. Or M and J has. I’m simply a road manager.

Reference point:
I didn’t keep track of how many days in veg she went before I put her out to flower, but it was definitely less than 40. This plant is only around 40-45 days old from seed. And she’s already completely filled this 7. If I was a walking person or had a younger man as my assistant I would up pot this beast today to a 10. But it’s good to know approximately how long it can take to actually fill a 7 or any pot.

Afternoon/Dark Spot

Just so you guys see what I have going on when I talk about where the photos sleep outside - the “dark spot.” Here it is. So around now, 2-ish pm, she goes back here, following the sun. It’s a happy coincidence sun-wise as this is also the dark spot where she sleeps. In the morning I move her into the backyard. You can see how close together the houses are. Lol. But this is deep enough from the near corner to not be affected by night time light off the lennai or by street/driveway lights from the far side, and doesn’t get subject to any light if someone in either house turns on an indoor light. I can fit several plants in this spot.

She’s still growing vertically some, and stacking sweetly. If I have to have five dominant colas instead of one, at least they’re all together and in the corner. Lmao!!!

A bit of training through the stretch to go along with her newly erected support structure, ie, bamboo stick. Lmao.

What we have here is classic Sombrero training. Pretty clear in this picture where I got the name from.

This is what I mean when I use the term “stacking.” You start to see where you’ll have buds and how they’ll be. I love watching it. For example, in this picture on both the near and background left branch/colas, you can see the buds stacking up. I counted 9 buds consecutive on the near branch and 10 in a row in the background branch from top down, before you hit a bud with a stem under it. That means big colas. All the buds with no stems will become one bud. Should make for a good show!!
