I’m watching this one like a hawk. There is a TON of ambient light sources here. I don’t mean the stars and moon. As a result, I have one spot my photos can sit overnight. And I’m always scared of it. Is it dark enough? Etc. So now is when I watch close for balls. Goddamn I hope not.Mac and Jack

I got a zkittles auto indoors though. Had few issues had ph lockout few weeks ago due to lack of time/water but looking to come down next week.Hey @Chuckeye, @StoneOtter, @Rexer, @farside05 - have any of you ever by chance grown a straight Zkittlez auto? I have one that’s popped for the auto in the 3x3 and am wondering what I can expect from her in terms of veg days? That determines my training selection. Thanks so much!
Thanks! She’s gorgeous! Yeah I’ll grow it indoors in the 3x3. Autos outdoors are a waste imho. Hope I get buds that nice.I got a zkittles auto indoors though. Had few issues had ph lockout few weeks ago due to lack of time/water but looking to come down next week.
Complete with what, a trombone solo? Some horn.LOL Wings!
That’s my concern, the wind.Morning @Bill284, how you be? Gorgeous photo in the POTM contest - I almost didn’t enter cuz of you, lol. Hey so remember we were discussing what happens to coco plants growing outdoors when it rains? Well, we have the asshole hurricane crossing the state today. No big deal here in the least - except perhaps for the Mac and Jack. She is currently in the overnight dark spot. This is close to the side of the house - close enough that the branches on the house side touch the wall. So there’s the eave/hangover from the roof above the plant which protects it from normal rain basically 100%. But this rain is everywhere, not just straight down, as the wind is crazy today. So it’s dark and I haven’t looked yet, but I know she’s soaking wet, and is going to be all day.
I have decided to not worry about it in the least. For one thing, there’s nothing I can do about it anyway. Lmao. That alone dictates my course of (non) action. Heh. But besides that, I figure what’s the harm? Isn’t it the same thing as if I fed her RO water with no feed for a day? Big fricking deal. She won’t even notice. It would take a few days before she began barking at me I believe. Certainly one day will hurt nothing.
Now the damn wind…….ugh.
Hope your day goes well Sensei.
Whoa. You fricking cheater. A garden hose? After you’ve pounded it into my head that you MUST ph to 5.8 every time for coco? I joke, but I’m noticing the same thing truth be told. Obviously the microbes don’t care, we established that growing in soil, plus @Emilya Green says so, so it must be true. Lmao. But beyond that - I haven’t ph’ed in a long time. I do it religiously when the plant just pops and is a seedling, but once she has two sets of leaves she gets the same treatment everyone else does - I’m close enough. I am thinking maybe the supposed “exact range/must be X” mindset is unnecessary. The range simply must be more expansive, simple logic tells you that. I highly doubt that rainwater ph is the same all over the world. Granted plants don’t naturally grow in coco, but what difference does that make? Just a medium, irrelevant to the feeding. Now I’m not prepared to simply feed them as if I were running soil and GeoFlora, but I am going to start to experiment a bit as we go forward. I see the word “easier” on the horizon in big letters. That’s my concern, the wind.
Get them protected.
I ran coco all summer with out a ph pen.
I’m thinking the microbes and fungi feeding the roots aren’t concerned with ph.
I even snuck the garden hose in there a few times.
No issues at all.
Batten down the hatches and hold on tight.
You guys haven’t recovered from the last storm, dam.
Hope everything is ok my friend.
Stay safe

I just checked her. Where she sits, between our house and the neighbors on the side, there’s hardly any wind going on. It’s like a long thin corridor between the houses. Only about 15 feet wide (all the houses are close together). And there’s a lot of shrubbery and stuff in there to block wind. But basically, unless the wind is blowing exactly that way, it’s pretty wind free in there. She is absolutely fine. Sleeping soundly and hasn’t even gotten rained on. I don’t know how that’s possible but she’s dry. Cool!!I was religious about 5.8 until this summer.
I figured I’d try it to see how long I could go without phing.
Guess what
Good luck Amigo, hope it’s not a bad storm.
Take care.

This plant is looking strong. Her stems are fantastic. Here I did some late training and opened her up down low, as well as some necessary defoliation. I forgot the joy of having as much time as you want with a plant. Yay photos! They always ruled anyway, and always will. They aren’t common gutter autoflowers. Who wastes their time with them?
