Crescendo
Laura
Flower Day 2

I’m going to track the stretch photographically on Laura. Mostly because I’m in love with this plant. She is simply gorgeous. She looks even more gorgeous next to the wild child Tropicanna Banana. Lol.

The first picture shows you that the lower ring is clear of the towers and will not be light blocked.

And here’s the wild child Tropicanna Banana, and a few shots of LeiLei.

The Mandarin Zkittlez with the towers is exactly what’s supposed to happen when you go with the Sombrero Duo training. The two towers get huge. With the Crescendo, using Sombrero Quad, they likely won’t get as tall. Four towers instead of two.

Note/Preview: it appears I am the latest grower to agree with Viparspectra on a showcase project. My next journal will be a single plant grow in the 3x3 under the @ViparSpectra KS3000! It will be a dedicated journal for just the one plant so as to showcase the light. I’m going to grow another Mac and Jack. Not that the comparison will be in the journal, but it will be interesting to compare for you guys in the know. Thanks Valerie and Viparspectra! Can’t wait!

Mac and Jack

Holy support columns Batman! I think this may be a record for me, lol. But she’s standing up straight as can be now and actually fits in the picture frame for a change.

And the answer to part two of the question, what determines when you list the plants as done:

Hi Jon! That is a great question! I think a couple of factors, most likely - mainly the trichome % of amber/cloudy/clear, but also coloring of the pistils and the density of the nugget. Thank you again for your support!

That sounds more like a guess than the answer to the first part. Lol!

Here’s a first….

These pictures show a little bit of trimmed off sugar leaf from trimming a couple flarfy tester buds from the Mac and Jack a few days ago. They are so ridiculously frosty I decided to try something I’ve never done before - I smoked a bong hit of all leaf.

1. Tasty
2. No cough
3. Got me high

Wow.

I see the wheels turning. You're reconsidering the whole trim bin out come, aren't you? :laughtwo:
Well a press isn’t on the Christmas list this year, but I actually am going to consider a lesser trim than usual, depending on how they look when the time comes. This may be one of those very rare times when I could convince myself to leave a little sugar leaf on. I did not expect the very next plant in the 3x3 to dust the damn White Widow on frost. She was damn frosty! But this plant has way more and it’s way thicker, and also extends onto the fans.

Can't wait to see the journal!! :thumb:

Congratulations Jon! You're going to love the KS3000!
This @ViparSpectra KS5000 I'm running is a sweetheart! :green_heart:
I almost went with that one! Lol! Thanks. I have a feeling I’ll be able to let the plants get a lot closer to this bar light than I can to the center mount light that’s in there now (420h). Hoping for awesome side and corner coverage. ViparSpectra says you can use it for a 4x4 for veg, so I expect it’ll do a great job for one plant in a 3x3.

Flower Day 3

Not a lot of vertical growth yet, but you can see here how quickly she is beginning to leaf up. The second picture shows the tower side branches coming in tough. They will be the fill in for between the base ring and the four towers, and will help form the Christmas tree shape eventually.

While guarding my plants this morning Molly found and caught a lizard for the first time. They’re quick little buggers. She left it on the step for me.

Here’s the best - there’s an armadillo here. I’ve seen him three times at night when I was walking Molly. He’s big, significantly bigger than Molly (who weighs 12 pounds). He does not look happy. I know nothing about armadillos except what they look like and that they don’t belong on the coast of Southwest Florida, lol. No idea how he got here, but I’m determined to get a picture of him. Lol.
