Jon's Outdoor Winter Photoperiod Grow

Thanks! I am at latitude of 26.339806, a longitude of -81.778697, and an elevation of a mere 2 meters. And wow, by December 8 you must have had snow, yes?

In my area it only snows in the coldest years: it can go a decade without snow, or snow two years in a row. And if it snows, it is usually at the end of December or January...
(One of these years, January):

I am on the northern slope of Sierra Morena (the original), floridano. These are my temperatures now, under a storm:

Outdoor Photoperiod Garden Update

Mandarin Zkittlez Flower Day 37
Tropicanna Banana Flower Day 15
Crescendo Flower Day 5
Strawberry Haze Veg Currently in 5x5

We’ll begin with LeiLei, the Mandarin Zkittlez. Here’s a cool towers picture:

Here’s each tower individually:

Here’s what the lower branches are doing:

And here’s a few bud pictures - you can see the start of color on the one:

Here’s Laura, the Crescendo, today is stretch watch day 5, and she has overtaken the Tropicanna Banana in height by a little bit:

This is the wild Tropicanna Banana who at one time had a nice, even, flat canopy. Lol.

The Strawberry Haze is too young and I’m not willing to exploit my baby girl in your Satanic porn shop. But she’s doing fine, heathens.
:rofl::rofl::laugh::laugh:

There’s your Saturday update. It’s a gorgeous day finally after two days in a row of rain. All three of these pots were about an inch or two short of full after watering and moving them around so much. So I mixed up a batch of coco/perlite/bokashi/frass and topped them all off, then watered it in with this morning’s watering. All the plants are getting the flowering week 4 mix of PB nutes - that’s the most concentrated it’s gets and I use that mix all through flower. They are all also getting 20 ml of Terpinator with each feeding and I’ve upped the CalMag plus Iron to 7 ml instead of 5.

The leaf miners seem to be keeping their distance for the most part. Cold nights help a lot in that regard. A cold night here is around 58 degrees.

Everyone is jamming! Happy Saturday.

Just checked the weather for the next week. We have a very very rare event on Christmas weekend about to happen. We are going to have three straight days with a low in the upper 30s and highs in the mid 50s. The picture is a screenshot of Saturdays temperature report - Christmas Eve. Pretty damn cold and an abberation for here. After seeing all these pictures of snow covered plants that survived just fine I am not too worried about it. Will be interesting to see how the outdoor garden handles that much cold.

And then it was time.

Mac and Jack photoperiod
Harvest!!!!!
Flower Day 47
Total Grow Days approximately 90

And here’s what she looks like at harvest, with less than 3% amber. I tossed in a vignette for the last picture just for fun.

Mom picked the perfect time to go north to my sister’s for the holidays. My house is about to reek like Mac and Jack. Lol!

Is that TB starting to smell yet. If it is what's it smell like ?
Hey @Joe Brewster - no not yet. She just got done her stretch. Today is day 15 and to my eyes she’s been done stretching since about day 12. She didn’t even double. The buds are stacked pretty nicely and the first signs of frost have arrived. No smell yet. She’s up above in the Outdoor Garden Update.

Then, it was done.

All I can say about this, besides that it’s a lot more than I thought and expected, and besides that it stinks like crazy, and besides that it’s incredible frosty and dense and heavy, is…..heh.

First four pictures show you the sum of the harvest, trimmed and hanging.

Last picture shows the entire sum of flarf. There are three or four real buds hiding in there, and when you take them out, and the leaves, and the stems, and it’s dried and final trimmed - it’s way less than an ounce and maybe not even a half. Hardly any! Everything that’s hanging will be a real bud when dried.

Did I mention heh?

:woohoo:

Incredible... If I have done the conversion correctly, you will have both maximum and minimum values lower than mine, despite my much more northerly latitude, my altitude (in Sierra Morena hills), and my great distance at any cost... And look at the forecast for coastal citys of the rest of the nation:

My same latitude (approx), but on the European Mediterranean coast:

Same coast (European Mediterranean), a little more to South:

Another little more to the South of the Mediterranean coast, but already in the North African part of the nation:

And finally, the southernmost territories of the nation and already with a latitude more similar to yours, already in the African North Atlantic:

Crescendo
Laura
Flower/Stretch Watch Day 6

Training through the stretch. When it’s over the lower canopy will be a filled mess. At that point I will do some strategic elimination. She’s nice and wide now.
