Impressions: This is a very well known strain, I won't spend a lot of time reiterating what many already know. Despite the name, and having seen Bruce Banner grown enough times, this plant is nothing more than BB#3, renamed by RQS to sell seeds I suppose. They even say so in their own description. Most of us are familiar with this strain. I lifted this directly from the RQS info:
However, at least two other phenotypes certain to be of interest to connoisseurs have the potential to present in the grow-op. Pheno #1 is closer to a 50-50 hybrid mix of both parent strains. I believe I got this Pheno #1. I felt the entire grow she was right in between an indica and a sativa, and had pretty much equal qualities of both parents. Her growth structure said so, or at least that was my impression. Now having smoked it quite a bit, I'm convinced.
This is maybe the most balanced weed in my current arsenal. The buzz starts pure head/cerebral and after about 20 minutes morphs into a very relaxing body buzz, but not a sleepy one. Long lasting buzz that hits hard upon first inhale. Thickish, off white smoke that is super smooth (at least this is after 10 weeks of cure). The taste is complex - mine tastes earthy, that's my first impression. A bit of gas/diesel. A lot of fruit. Nothing I would describe as fruit specific, just kind of general fruitiness. This weed did not turn out as sweet as some of the others, which is a nice change from my sweet, fruity lineup. More dank than sweet. And it also has a kind of spiciness to it, although I can't pin down the spice either. Something that's a bit earthy, not sharp. For appearance see photos. This is a bud from my head stash and the actual bud smoked for the report, plus a picture of the plant itself shortly before harvest. Sort of a before and after sort of thing, kind of. Lol. For pain I found it to be average, nothing noteworthy.
Growing this plant was relatively easy, other than her buds get very dense and heavy and needed to be supported, which was a bit of a challenge given how low I had trained the plant to the top of the soil. She yielded close to 6 ounces, 5.8 was the final jarred tally - my biggest yielder of the three tent plants - and there was also plenty of flarf.
I really like the Hulkberry, but to be completely honest I probably wouldn't grow it again. It checks a lot of the boxes for me, I don't have anything negative to say about it, it just doesn't grab me like many do, and I wouldn't say it has any SUPER special qualities. It has become kind of my pedestrian, everyday, smoke it anytime weed, and it's what I smoke first in my head stash box so as to not smoke the strains I DO find special. That said, the average person off the street buying dispensary weed would probably think this pot rocks the world. Lol.
So here is the 10 week cured report bud and the plant before harvest. Hope you enjoyed the report.
