Jon's First Outdoor Grow: Sugar Breath Photoperiod & Strawberry Banana Autoflower

Interesting. That must be the easiest way known to man to make a cross real fast. All you need is pollen and a bud to put it on, huh? One more question and I'll stop pestering you - obviously you do this, and have done it before. So is the success rate (not going hermie) of the cross seeds you make the same as the success rate of seeds from a seedbank? Thanks.
So far the seeds I save to grow have been good. I grew one or two and someone else has grown dozens I think and I haven't heard any bad news.

That Apple Blossom is quite a looker. :welldone:
Have you ever made one from one of your stems?
I made a basic one a while back because I'm not the woodworker BeezLuiz is!

My wife refuses to use it because she doesn't want to "mess it up"!

Super cool pipe. I'd wanna smoke out of that so bad!

Hey so I have a question for you. Do you feel like going off a little bit here on revegging? I am mystified by revegging. I don't understand why one does it, what are the advantages of doing it, and when is it done, among other things. But I notice you do this with great success. I can't imagine I'm the only person who wonders about this process. So if you are so inclined, any chance you might post a few words here on your take on it? Please and thank you!

Florida Power and Light didn't have enough power into their overall system for this area to sustain it fully when the temperature dips below 38 degrees or so, which I suppose they thought was good enough since it never gets that cold here. Except it does. Like last night and this morning, when it is 35 degrees here. The old people around here are going nuts because the result of FP&L's woefully inadequate system is that all morning, everyone's power has been cycling on and off about every 20 minutes. Which means for about two hours my plants lights went out for 30 seconds every 20 minutes. Ah, nothing like stupid crap like that happening that's 100% out of your control. Nothing works right in this state, least of all the people. I can't wait to move from this godforsaken place.

So it's up to the bag that things like this happen to you. That's terrible.

Lol. Thanks @Kanno26, but truth be told I'm an ass for complaining. It's like 16 degrees and snowing and sleeting everywhere in the east and midwest and here I am bitching about non-consequential power cycling. Lmao. The girls will be fine. Happens in nature all the time, six eclipses in 2 hours. No big deal.

Thanks Jon! Revegging is almost always done to save the genetics of the pheno after harvest. Sometimes you recognize something about the plant in flower and know that you want to keep that around, so you reveg and then clone to keep a mother. I'm revegging because I have no more seeds of that variety and my seed-making attempt didn't work. I'll be trying again with the revegged plants

That said, some people reveg because you can get a much bigger plant the second time around because it already has a full-sized root ball.

Hope that helps!

LOL! Flashlights for the win. :)

Bowl and stem from a cannabis plant! You should check out BeezLuiz' pipe making thread. I posted the link on the top of the previous page.

Thanks Shed! Interesting, and that all makes total sense. So do you actually get to the point of harvesting some branches before (I guess) changing it's light cycle back to veg and leave the rest around, or how does that work? I guess the question is, at what point in flower do you reveg if you've determined that's what you want to do? And thanks again.

Sunday Bud Porn
Dos Si Dos
Strawberry Lemonade
Flower Day 58

It's getting all frosty and new growthy in Cocotown. For any of you strain hounds out there, a word on this Barney's Farm Strawberry Lemonade. WOW, what a strain. Obviously without even harvesting it yet, I can tell you guys definitively that this strain is stinky as hell, super productive, has gorgeous colors and buds, and has been an absolute breeze to grow, even it being my first try with coco. Zero issues with this plant. If the terpenes and profile of this strain get you going, it checks a lot of the boxes. It's also what I call a "Don't Leave Before the Miracle Happens" strain. It's a phrase serious Deadheads used to toss around to basically say, look, they can do something miraculous at any moment, so if you think the show is average and are considering taking off, don't leave before the miracle happens. As I apply it to plants, you ever notice with certain strains you think, man, they look done, but maybe the trichs aren't yet where you want them? So you decide to wait another day or two, only to then find that the plant had another gear in the wings? That's what's going on with this Strawberry Lemonade. I thought she was almost done days ago. Today the new growth I thought I was seeing is even more pronounced. It shows in the pictures as the light green, overly exposed parts of the buds, I believe you can tell on several of the shots. Insanity. Don't leave before the miracle happens. Anyway, great genetics, great strain. If I can grow this strain this decently, anyone can. Already on my definitely grow this again list.

The Dos Si Dos is no slouch either. I got a strong sativa pheno, and the buds reflect that. They are fattening up, but not like the other two, much more indica plants. These are full on sativa buds. And man are they frosty as hell. I have a brand new pair of trimming scissors on hold for this plant. Lol, for real. Ridiculous frost.

So let's get on to the porn already.

These first four pictures are the Dos Si Dos

The next six are the Strawberry Lemonade, including a closeup of the interior of a bud at the end.

Enjoy! Happy Sunday.

The frost on that DSD!

How to do it is best described by Van Stank here where he posted best-practices for anyone wanting to give it a shot after harvest. I didn't get to harvest with mine because I didn't need the buds, so my reveggers were about 3 weeks into flower when I put them back into 24/0.
