So I was sweeping off the driveway right outside the garage, so I don't track crap into my perfectly clean grow room floor, and I got to the edge where the driveway meets the yard. Which is exactly where my dump pile of spent soil is. And which was covered up with fresh mulch a week ago when the lawn folks came and did their monthly mulch refresh. Guess they didn't like the soil and perlite look, lol.
Anyway, I go out, and I found this!
Now, I'm no plant expert, but I have grown a few marijuana plants before, and I'm pretty sure this is marijuana.
The question is, what in God's name is the strain? Based on knowing the soil I have dumped in that location and what plants it came from, and also which ones of those plants had a seed or two, I can narrow it down at least a little. It's got to be either:
- Sour Apple Auto
- Dos Si Dos Auto
- Ghost Train Haze Photo
If it is Sour Apple, that would mean the seed would have had to have lied dormant for months, and then suddenly sprouted. It it's DSD or GTH, it could be a seed from the recent harvest, as both of those plants had a seed or two here and there and one could potentially have gotten into the dump soil I suppose. I also tossed a handful of Pineapple Upside Down Cake seeds in that pile, but those were from the scrog that went hermie two grows ago, so the odds of it being that are even lower than it being Sour Apple.
I'm obviously just going to let it grow and see what happens. Considering I'm pretty sure this is mulch with dyes, I can scarcely believe any seedling even came up through it. Very interesting. If she lives for 35 days, we'll know, cuz if she's an auto she'll be flowering by then. If not it's a photo.

It's basic math, btw I was away that day for math class.
If you increase your square footage with out increasing wattage correspondingly your just reducing w/sqft.
I see a @MedicGrow ez 8 1000w in a 3x5 room in my future.
What's the math on that.66.6666666 watts/sqft.
Picture that with a one girl scrog , giant air pot/coco or hydro?

None of the others had a single seed. It's a guess, for sure, but at least a narrowed down guess. They ain't gonna live for no month anyway. Lol.Morning Jon! Just read this:

Hi Jon! Love those trich pics. I can never seem to see mine that clearly.
I have a question about the autos. Every one I've harvested so far has been damaged by my nute and pH problems but I'm trying to figure out about when they should be ready. Have you found anything consistent time wise? I see these claims from the seedbanks that seem crazy, like 70 days from seed. Others say 8-10 weeks. I assume they mean flowering time? I'm giving them 15hrs of light per day, do you think that changes anything? I've got those kind of lame 9 watt reds going. Mine didn't start flowering until 4 weeks from sprout this time, and are now 35 days into flower.
To my eye they look like they would have another month if they were photos. Do autos just finish faster? I really don't want to screw this up, and I don't trust my eyes reading the amber. It's so frustrating. So far every auto I've harvested has been early, and I took 2 of them to 10 weeks in flower. They said 8-10 weeks at the seed bank. I know I asked you a lot of these questions months ago but you've grown quite a few autos since then and I'm really interested in what you have to say.

Has to below 13 if I'm not mistaken. Bigger the change more plants will go oh winterm I need to flower and die. I go from 22/2 hrs down to like 12. And it will promote flowering. I heard not sure someone can tell u more. 13 hrs below causes the change. But idk that one personally but that what I do. Or 18-6 then down to 12 12works I know. Also can go gradually down. It's mostly preferrance I think on hours. But got be like a time change thing. Summer to winter like

My auto has been on 20-4 its while life. But it sure aint no 60-70 days from sprout like Mephisto said! I’m on Day 82 and got WEEKS to go!

Im serious - go look at my journal! And @Jack 420 has one just about 4-5 days older than mine and he’s in the same boat (though I dont know his light schedule)
When providing light to an autoflower, your lighting schedule will depend on the strength of your lights. You can run lower lux lights at 24/0 or higher lux lights at 16/8. What matters is that they get their daily light integral. Anything above that is money you don't need to spend.

Interesting! My last run was 16-8 and she didnt do near this good; but then I WAS using a blurple *shudders remembering that light*
You probably would have done much better at 24/0.

With that light (and what I know now) most definitely!
Usually when it says 60-70 that's just flowering stage. I thought. . Always thought that may be wrong. But yeah I think I got one also that slow as hell. Got afgan kush that's been slow production since I went into flowering. She better get move on. I uped the chemicals alittle will see on mine. Sucks

Did u veg to long hell 60 days not but two months. And ten days for the 70. They must marked that wrong. Had too

Most of Mephisto’s auto flowers have relatively the same time frame - and since they’re autos, theres no way to veg them for a certain amount of time and then flip them … they do it on their own
