Jon's First Outdoor Grow: Sugar Breath Photoperiod & Strawberry Banana Autoflower

Hi @Jon, thanks for asking, they are doing well. I think they should deal with about 2 weeks so we'll see maybe turn out well;) and how are you?
Hi @Kanno26, things are are well on this end. Glad to hear you're getting along okay and the grow is going well. Hey I have a question non-related to weed for you. I'm a big soccer fan. I'm betting you are too. Got a favorite team? Are you a fan?

Hey Jon I'm a fan of letting nature do its thing.
But if you deem it unnecessary than take her off.

Stay safe
Bill
Morning Mucker - hey @Bill284, I decided to go with your tack after checking the girl this morning. They're close enough to stay. More importantly, they're all the way outside the main outer ring. So they're going to get their fair share of electrons. Even if they only amount to top buds, they should be decent ones and not flarf. I'll just trim the undercarriage part of those branches where the flarf will develop under the canopy if I don't. Done deal, we will let nature take it's course this time and see how it goes. Gracias. I'll have cocotown shots for you shortly. Guess I gotta change my picture again too, damn Eagles. Not even in the game.

Flower Day 45

Here you go @Bill284, more excuses to show buds off. Today's excuse is I will show you guys the difference in what happens with my light when the flower booster is engaged. The way this unnamed light is designed is to run full spectrum in veg at 550 watts real draw, then run with the deep and far reds and IR engaged with the addition of the flower booster, which pumps the wattage up to 680 watts. It's designed so that you engage the flower booster on day one of your flip. I have tried it engaging the booster later on in flower as well, and it does indeed produce better results running it from the flip on.

It is way impossible to get a picture of this entire plant. See Bill? Another excuse to show buds!:rofl::rofl: I don't really need one, as you know. Heh. Anyway, let's get on to the porn:

These first three pictures are with the flower booster on. There are two bud shots and a shot of the cola from the end. These buds are crazy looking. I guess I've never grown a large plant with large indica buds on it before, cuz I'm so used to seeing pointed, conical buds. These are round and grow crazy, especially up top. I guess pulling the colas over and then watching growth off them grow up is part of that, but it sure looks crazy.

The last two are full spectrum pics and much closer to the plant's actual colors. You can see she's turning purple as her leaves go from that dark green to purple. This plant smells super strong and the tent smell overall is actually beating my 6' AC Infinity fan and extra expensive Australian charcoal brand new 6' filter. When I enter the garage in the morning after the door being shut all night the first thing I smell is this tent and dankness. I checked. It comes out the damn outflow pipe. LOUD grow, these three strains together. And the frost is, well...not bad.

Flower booster makes a huge difference, yes?

Veg Day 58

This plant is cooperating with me more nicely than most. She really seems to enjoy the training, or at least takes well to it. I'll try to not apply human emotions to my plant, lol. Her canopy seems to be growing upwards at the same rate across the board, which is way sweet and makes my job easier. Hopefully she can maintain this (with my help) through the stretch. I'd love a canopy as flat as this one once the buds are set, and based on her size in relation to the 3x3 right now, I believe she will fill the space well.

Here she is today from the top and side. I am loving that my bud sites this time are much more spread out and individualized, rather than the mass of bud tops everywhere from the last training in this vein. Pretty sure I'll be able to flip her in two days.

I prefer hockey but you probably mean your American football or classic football. I also have a question I'm looking for a recipe for BBQ sauce you don't know any recipe

Nice avatar, Jon. Long-time Eagles fan here. There's always next year, right?

Hey, at least the Cowboys were knocked out yesterday as well ;) At home too :)

Undercarriage Cleanup Round 2

I like to do the undercarriage in two or three rounds. Today round 2. Pretty much done except for maintenance most likely.

And in hilarious and classic Dallas incompetent play calling fashion too...I have a good call, let's run the QB up the middle with 14 seconds left and no time outs...that'll get em.....:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Go Chiefs! :woohoo:
The Chiefs will always get some love here as long as Andy Reid is coach, and especially when the Dolphins are out of it. They're my go to AFC team cuz of Andy. Greatest coach in Eagles history.

Agreed about Andy Reid and he has quite the impressive coaching tree as well. Now if he could figure out clock management:rolleyes:

Just ask the Eag;es. Packers, Cowboys, Raiders, Browns Bengals and the Steelers how he has been doing with that... Just imagine where they would be if not for the dismal start of the season when Andy reshaped a brand new D-Fence. From last to first, because of Andy. That is something to be proud of!

Hey @Emilya I'm sorry to hear your still not feeling well.
I hope your back to your oldself soon.

Stay safe

Veg Day 59

One more day and we flip this girl. I'm prepared to go to war exactly as she is right now. I don't think she needs anything, other than a few lower branch removal pieces of weird shoots that grew down and now won't make it. The canopy seems pretty solid and pretty well spread out, I shouldn't have all those crammed together buds this time. The outer ring is fairly sweet too, with a couple topped ends showing their mettle now. I'm ready to go for the stretch. Bring it on.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I am finding that having the fan and filter on the floor of the tent like this, rather than above the light, mitigates humidity a little more effectively. I suspected that might be the case, and indeed it is. For what it's worth. If I can give up the space I'll do it this way again.

Here's the canopy (the 420h makes overhead shots look washed out, she's plenty green), and a side shot. Onwards!! Can't wait to see how the @Prescription Blend nutes do in flower!

Hey Jon! Go Bengals!!!! Sorry about your Eagles, I know that feeling all too well. Poor AJ Green, he's at least 0-6 in the playoffs now after last night. If there's a more humble and deserving player out there I don't know who it is.

Sorry I haven't been around, I went to Vegas to visit the family for the holidays and promptly got sick. My first sick day was 12/22 and I still have this freaking thing. Tested negative for covid on a home test on 12/23, I've been vaxxed and boosted and also had a flu shot and was hoping that would save me. It's been like having a low grade flu for a month and only in the last few days have I had much energy to do anything.

Your plants look gorgeous as always, please don't try to pass yourself off as a newbie any longer!

In a surprising development, my plants are looking gorgeous too! I'm growing 4 autos - 1 each gorrilla glue, gelato, wedding cake and zkittles. I'm halfway through flower and aside from some very early calmag issues with the GG I haven't had a blemished leaf. I'm loving the Great Lakes Water Only soil. The GG started showing calmag issues almost immediately so I started supplementing with calmag and that was the end of it. I've also been using a tea since early flower. It's so nice to have healthy plants again I'm really excited.

I'm curious how you're getting your seeds. I've only been able to find one seed bank that will take my credit cards. Back in the day I got most of my seeds from Herbie's and Barney's Farm, now neither will accept my card. I've had similar problems with Cali seed banks. I've been told I need to add some kind of authentication or something, but when I contacted my bank and Visa they didn't know what I was talking about. Any help with this would be appreciated, I'd love to get my hands on the strawberry banana auto amongst others.

Take care my friend. Who Dey!

My cards do that until I talk to the bank and tell them I'm buying something out of the country and to let it happen. Venmo is something to look at, at your bank.
