Strawberry Lemonade
Flower Day 39

You would never know it was only day 39 of flower looking at these Strawberry Lemonade buds. Either they're going to be the size of footballs or they're already getting fairly close, especially compared to the other two plants. I'll guess the latter. Heh. Every day they look more and more like real, tight, actual buds, and they feel fairly dense already. It seems to me they are about to go into their final fattening up mode. I maintain this will be the first plant to harvest. So much for hanging her in the tent, lol. Drying closet it is. They are also starting to all shoot out these fire-y red hairs that when you see them live appear almost neon red. Very attractive bud shooting out leaf and bud colors everywhere now. Very nice bud structure. Appears it will be a trim on the easier side, lol. I never used to even think about that, now I do.

So here's a couple full branches, a few bud tops, and a picture of the two flarfiest buds on the plant - even they are shooting out the colors. If you saw the pics of her from three days ago, doesn't she look a lot tighter? Does to me.

Hey @InTheShed, I took our conversation into consideration here. I decided for this one to try it this way. I just don't like the pic/word/pic/word, and I seem to screw up the spacing and everything else when I try it. This is a decent compromise I thought, what do you think? Even without the description of the pics I could have just posted the pics themselves and you would all get the idea, so I was thinking a brief thing like here does the job and is far less confusing to the reader?

@Bill284, I must say your grow here is going quite well!

Good morning @Bill284, I have a morning question for you in our continuing coffee question series....

I get that you are basically going to tell me to feed the crap out of these girls for the rest of the grow as you have the entire grow, and that's great, I'm totally cool with that. We have the FF system as our guide anyway.

I'm thinking about Terpinator and molasses. Why CAN'T I use molasses with coco? It's not the same thing as hydro. I can't find a reason it would hurt, please tell me what I'm missing here if anything. I haven't used it yet but would like to. Regarding Terpinator, check the pictures please. These are the labels of the Terpinator and the Bembe from the FF line. The Bembe gets fed an entire tbsp/gallon for the rest of the grow - FF includes it every week til the end. Terpinator is either 1 or 2 tbsp./gallon. I have come to the conclusion that Bembe is FF's version of Terpinator, approximately. They both seem to be aimed at accomplishing the same goal. So considering these labels, how do you feel about adding the Terpinator on top of the Bembe? When the chart began the Bembe I discontinued the Terpinator, as I thought it was duplicitous. But I'm not sure, thus this, lol. As you see, both are basically a K additive, and they're basically the same concentration of it. So would "doubling this up" be too much K?

Decent Tuesday morning question?

Good morning Jon I'm still trying to figure out your first question on training and you have another.
It's- 40 here this morning that's c or f take your pic.
Couldn't get either vehicle running this morning.
Ever hold a a pair of players when it's that cold.
Let alone haul in fire wood, yeiks
Let's see if my brain defrosted yet.
You should give molasses, with Bk & Fr in coco.
Or any medium.
It feeds the microbes. :thumb:
And Terpinator is a brilliant product.
I'd say feed the Fek out of her, hehe.
But seriously they will eat it up no problem.
Have you got your ppm pen ready?
What the heck for grins let's see what is on their menu?
Get one Mr Stubborn.
Oh BTW you ok on training question?
I was a little confused anyway. As usual.

Stay safe
Bill

Thanks Bill. Yes, ok on the training question - all it was was should I take these two branches or not. I figured it out. I get it on all the other, I must have misinterpreted you several weeks ago following one of our discussions, cuz I had it in my head to not give them molasses.
Cool, I dig molasses. And I get it: FEED .

:laughtwo:

'Morning Jon:nomo:

I don't hesitate to take more nodes/branches off one side then the other.
I have a picture usually in my mind for how I want the plant to fill a space. From that point, I'll snip and fold branches as needed to make it happen. The only golden rule is as Azi described, not letting one branch get too far above the others.

Thanks, and that's how I feel too, and yeah, Azi's point was well taken I just had that part taken care of already. I also have a pic in my mind. Two in this case actually, one square and one round. Depends on where I decide to bud her out.

Ya know I completely forgot that part of the question.
Id finish her inside, don't temp fate this close to move date. And it'll save you some back and forth.

Here's one for you Rex - this tent is so small I can get to all of it. I could, in theory, work this plant with a scrog net. I wouldn't even have to make a new one for a 3 x 3, I could simply attach the hooks on my 5 x 5 stretchy net on a more inner set of corners and get it nice and tight. The holes would be too big, so it wouldn't be a "real" scrog, but it would certainly help with support, it would help define my canopy, it would help me fill the entire 3 x 3 space, and it would help me keep the canopy nice and flat. I also think it's a pretty good time to do it now if I were going to, as she could easily stay as tall as she is and I could simply flatten anything from here then flower when the screen is filled. And what a beginning to a scrog it would be, right? Wonder if you could share your thoughts on this?

Lol. Actually I do, but it's a 5x5x10.5 made entirely from two by fours with reinforced bracing on all top and bottom corners and two by four cross pieces on top to hold lights with dedicated half inch eyelet hooks and extra strength dedicated light raising cable plus a dedicated three prong high end 50 foot extension cord integrated into the ceiling which at the moment is all broken down into it's component parts, along with a 5x5 square of 3/4 inch plywood covering the top half of the front of it when assembled. But I do have all the screws saved and in bags, and I do have every part labeled so that anyone could reassemble it. All you'd have to do is add walls, and you're done. Easy. So sure - come get it. You could grow BIG photos in this baby. I'm not too far. Just around half of North America. No biggie.

Well shit dude, scrog it up! Especially if you can still get to all of it.
Sounds like a perfect time for you to play with some netting.
Ironic as I'm considering my next grow to be netless.

Oh I think we can do a little better than that Bill. Not even a sleeping bag. I'll even let you guys sleep with Molly if you want to, that's always fun. She's so cuddly she puts me right to sleep. And besides the climate I have a thing or two here that will help your pain. Some of my strains I'm finding are especially good for back pain, my major issue as well. Plus, all our fire detectors work! This is fun and even though I know you won't, you know you're welcome here anytime.

Lol, but interesting comment too. It IS a little like bonsai. You're shaping the plant the way you wish, you're determining it's size, etc....pretty close conceptually speaking actually. After seeing what Shed did with a plant in a Big Gulp (47 grams I think, that's a ton for a Big Gulp), I bet one could grow a plant in that size cup and produce a really cool bonsai-esque weed plant. Lol.

CJS Apple Blossom
Canopy Shaping
Veg Day 52

Hey @StoneOtter, this is more like the canopy I was referring to yesterday. She's looking half decent now. I'm thinking I'm gonna keep this girl right here in the tent. Finish her under the 420h so I'll have at least one reference point on a photo all the way under the light, which I currently don't, only autos so far. She sure as hell likes it in veg. Between that and the PB nutes, she's humming right along. So today I did some more canopy shaping in earnest. Today is day 52. I'm thinking I'll let her go to 60 days of veg then flip her. Between the stretch and where she'll be in 8 days from here she will fill this tent nicely I think, without getting crowded.

Here's an overhead and side shot post canopy shaping. You can see in the overhead that having decided on the tent for flower, I also decided on a square canopy. It's sort of taking shape. The side shot is her real colors, she looks lighter than she is in the overhead picture.
