The Raspberry Parfait is finishing fast and getting more exotic looking seemingly by the hour. Never had a plant accelerate into end mode this quickly. Very interesting.
The Pineapple Upside Down Cake is one I'm super excited about. My very first grow, before I found 420, I thought I was growing this strain, which is the ORIGINAL strain to be named PUC. Surfr Seeds then started selling a different hybrid and also called it PUC. When I got the dispensary eighth that held the "bagseeds" that became my first grow, it was PUC. I thought it was the Humboldt as that was the only one I was aware of. I could tell halfway through when the odor began that it was different, so I checked with the dispensary and found that they grew the Surfr version. Great, but not what I was shooting for. This is the terpene profile I get super excited about. Here's what Humboldt says about it:
This new strain from Humboldt Seed Company sets the bar high for unique terpene profiles. The product of a vast 2017 phenotype hunt in Humboldt County, Pineapple Upside Down Cake smells exactly like its name. The effect is immediately rewarding, uplifting, and spiritual. The Trainwreck sativa brings a sharp loudness and the indica balances its energetic effect. Said to lift spirits, Pineapple Upside Down Cake really takes the cake when it comes to new and exciting strains.
It's Pineapple Trainwreck x Cookie Monster, 60/40 Sativa/Indica hybrid
And if you watch the video in the seed info on their site, the dude talks about how it smells so much like pineapple upside down cake that it even has the slight cherry smell from the one little piece of fruit you find on actual pineapple upside down cake. He raves about it and gives a bunch more info on the pheno hunt.
Today is the first day I saw little cotton balls forming on the Strawberry Banana Fast Flowering plant. Today is Grow Day 50 and Flower Day 14 for her, so it took two whole weeks of stretch before seeing these emerging buds. That's longer than it took the RP and PUC to begin to show, just FYI reference point.
Here's some pretty decent bud shots. I liked these for a change. The light this time of day is good for pictures.
