And what about the readings on the blurple? It would be close in that scenario, right? That's what I would think. The only wrench in the experiment is that the spent soil pile only gets half a day's worth of great light and the rest is shaded. I just measured with the diffuser and using the natural sunlight setting on the Phototone app, and right now, the morning shade, which is sunup til about noon, reads on top of the pile at 360 ppfd. Great for seedlings. Lol. But the second half of the day is all sun direct. So we'll see.
As I said to @kanno on his thread:Here's one of the runts:
That's about what I do!Yum! I'm prepping my soil for the seedlings too, half light warrior, half happy frog, bokashi, frass, myco & great white. I'm going to wet it down and let it sit for 2-3 days does that sound ok to you?
Those I can set wherever I like by adjusting the height of the plant. I will not be matching to ppfd in the rig to the shady ppfd of the sunlight. Lol.And what about the readings on the blurple?
How about an average between shade and sunlight? Those I can set wherever I like by adjusting the height of the plant. I will not be matching to ppfd in the rig to the shady ppfd of the sunlight. Lol.
I was thinking more along the lines of let's at least get decent buds from one of the two......How about an average between shade and sunlight?
Ok. you're probably right.I was thinking more along the lines of let's at least get decent buds from one of the two......
Your heart is in the experiment, Azi, and I appreciate that. I just can't see intentionally crippling a plant by depriving it of light just to make a point I already know the answer to.Ok. you're probably right.
Plus, they're not my plants so I can shout suggestions from the cheap seats.Your heart is in the experiment, Azi, and I appreciate that. I just can't see intentionally crippling a plant by depriving it of light just to make a point I already know the answer to.
Just don't start thinking that seat was free. I have a feeling you paid your share of dues growing to be sitting there. Like we all do.Plus, they're not my plants so I can shout suggestions from the cheap seats.
Good idea! Thanks! I was wondering what tool would do it.If it were me, I'd remove the embryonic sac with a needle. I had to do that with CK.
