Jon's Dedicated Fruity Pebble Cookies Grow Plus The Mystery Plant

Jungle Scenes

Elora Branch.
This bud is four inches from the light. Manufacturer boasts that you can get 6" or closer and suffer no heat damage whatsoever. If you could put your hand on it, as I've said before, there basically IS no heat. It's uncanny. This bud should have browning and curling pistils on the top bud at least, as well as some leaf curl. She has none of that. She's loving life up there - the closest bud to the light in the whole tent. I can scarcely believe she's not burning at 1450-ish ppfd and that close to the light. I have never let a bud be anywhere near this close before, as I measure the ppfd there and despite the lack of heat and manufacturer's claims, it just seems so damn high a ppfd level. But that is why I got the light in part, so I guess I'll find out if it REALLY works like it claims on this grow. I could have done this on any of the grows, but now I have no choice, lol. Still may have to pull her down a bit depending on if the bud grows up a bit more versus top down and stays where it is. I also suspect it's weight is going to pull it down a little bit as we go here.

Fulvia Branch. These buds are stacking the same way as Elora's only each individual cotton ball is fatter on this pheno. The buds are beginning to join together and form colas ahead of the other plant. She's going to have big, dense colas. I'm already starting to get concerned about bud rot, despite my new toy and AC and an ocean of moving air. Can't help it. I worry.

Zkittlez Auto
Day 55
24 Karat Mephisto Auto update

I don't think she makes 60 days, or maybe just barely. Getting close. All white pistils almost with maybe 10-20% clear. One or two ambers here and there, basically zero. I'm done with this plant, so she's getting taken as soon as she's all white.

I popped the two Mephisto Genetics 24 Karat seeds I had.
They were old and gifted to me, wasn't sure if they would pop. But indeed they have and will hit the dirt pile and a Dixie Cup tomorrow most likely. I'm going to put one in the spent soil (now sweetly prepped with fresh soil) and let it grow naturally at approximately 12/12 to 13/11. The other one is going to go out back and replace the Zkittlez as soon as she's done. That's going to get 24/0 in veg and 20/4 once I see pistils. Same strain, same outdoor environment, I will duplicate the spent soil mix (it's really FF OF, bokashi, frass, perlite, and FF Microbe Brew) for the rig plant, and we'll at least get a reasonable comparison of the difference between an auto that grows all at 12/12 (ish) vs. an auto that gets tons of light hours. One more reasonable experiment for this grow.

Here's the skinny on the 24 Karat according to Mephisto:

This mostly indica cannabis strain is the result of a selective breeding effort to take a select cut of BOG's Sour boggle (Sour Bubble x Bogglegum Monster) and cross her with a purple indica breeding auto (Inbred to F4) to create an Afghanica automatic.
The goal was to create an Automatic SOG strain of connoisseur quality. Do not be fooled by her small size of 50 to 70cm tall indoors, as she produces fan leaves that have been described as the size of dinner plates, where even her stems are coated with thick resin. This was our first autoflower cross and we can't say enough about it!
24 carat finishes her flowering period in around 8 weeks indoors (56 days). She is short with thick stems and tight internodes which results in a VERY high bud to plant ratio.
This strain benefits greatly from a Sea of Green setup and produces roughly 60 to 80 grams per plant. She exhibits both pink and purple phenotypes which results in a beautifully potent plant. 24 carat was lab tested by alpha-cat (www.alpha-cat.org) and found to contain high THC levels.
Outdoors she can produce well over 60+ grams. 24 carat is a VERY stinky plant so indoors it is recommended that a carbon filter is used to keep the smell from reaching any unwanted attention.
She does well in a variety of setups, both indoors and outdoors as well as green house setups. This femenized version means that the stress associated with regular seeds, where growers must wait to cull the males, is non-existent.
She will produce females 99.9% of the time, which means no time or supplies are wasted growing unwanted male plants.
24 carat has high medicinal value and is used to treat a wide variety of medical conditions including insomnia, lack of appetitive and pain. This is an autoflowering cannabis strain you will not want to pass up

And here's the Zkittlez. Note she is beginning to eat herself. General paling, non nute related. Just has used everything I gave her. If she wasn't so close she'd get another GeoFlora Bloom shot, but that would be tomorrow and it's not happening for this girl, sorry dear.

And a closeup on a bud. Time for these hairs to go red.

Blurple Art

1 - 4:
There are six little buds total on this plant which are stand alone, separate from the colas. That's minimal flarf, and the six buds are all six legit. Small, but legit. Lol. The whole plant pretty much is small but legit. So here's the six stand aloners.

5.
I call this one Four Kings.

6.
This is a blurple art picture of an entire cola of the five remaining, all lit up like a Roman candle.

If I'm going to use as old a school blurple as there is on this site, I may as well have some fun with it in the few days we have left with the Zkittlez. The @Maxsisun blurple I'm using is so old you can't even find it on the Zon anymore. It was sold as their 1200 watt blurple but has an actual draw of 256 watts. It has 120 ten watt LEDs which will burn holes through your leaves if you get too close. I used two for my very first grow in a 5x5, and they were great. I wonder if the Maxsisun guys would consider lending me a tester upgrade to do a grow journal with (hint, hint....lol!!!!). I also own one of the Maxsisun quantum boards, the 400 watt PB series one, which is what I used to flower the Jelly Rancher, Sadie, a few grows back here. I am a big fan of their products.

Cell Phone Trichome Pics
Final Budding Weeks Feed Update

Titan gets 1.5 gallons of @Prescription Blend week 5 (the feed chart stays the same now until harvest, weeks 5-8 are identical in the chart) to begin her day at 6 am. Around 6 pm, she gets her evening feeding of 1.0 gallons. Until today this feeding was also the PB week 5. Starting with this evening's feeding, and every evening feeding from here until harvest, the mix looks like this (she will continue to get the base week 5 in the morning without the changes below):

One Gallon Water
1 tsp. CalMag Plus Iron
1 Full Feed of all 6 ingredients of the PB system flowering week five
1 tbsp. Fox Farms Bembe
1 tbsp. molasses
1 tbsp. Terpinator

In Jon World, this has to be ph'ed back up to 5.8 as the Bembe and Terpinator tend to bring it way down, especially the Bembe. The goal here is obvious - to cram as much sugar into the buds in the last three weeks as humanly possible. Lmao.

While I was at it I noticed some rather serious trichome action and tried to capture a few shots of it. It's a nice bonus when you have trichomes that are so big and long that you barely if at all need a scope to check them, a cell phone zoomed is enough. Here's what I mean:

Enjoy!!

Trichomes on Titan #2.jpg

Edit: I didn't know from Growers Choice before this grow, but good lord, the genetics are off the charts. Not sure how you guys measure that, but for me it's things like bud/leaf ratio, calyx development, tightness of nodes, sheer amount of growth overall and in flower, trichome production, fan leaf production and size, etc.....by ALL of those measures, this plant is absolutely stellar and way has exceeded any expectations I had. I'm so beyond sold I'll be starting another in this exact same scenario the day Titan is harvested. Either the Forbidden Runtz or the Banana Sherbet. Both are Double XLs from them.

Bud Wash On The Vine #2
Plus some cool bonus pictures

Did our second and final bud wash on the vine this evening. We will see how they are at harvest and go from there. Looking like a matter of days at this point.

1. Post bud wash, still wettish bud #1.

2. Post bud wash, still wettish, bud #2.

3. Color train rolling in, buds beginning to look exotic, plus a good bit of new growth, all displayed here on this bud.

4-5: Before sunset/at sunset super cool cloudbank I was watching this afternoon,
at sunset with the sun in the clouds. Great cloudbanks. These often roll in late afternoon, rarely does anything come of them. But they are calming and zen to hang out with.

6. This is one of my spider friends I caught in the afternoon when the sun hits his web such that you can see the weave.

Looking great @Jon! What does Titan smell like?
Morning BubbaKush909...I don't know how to describe her smell. Dank for sure. Sweet. A bit gassy. Fruity. Nothing defined in terms of fruit, just generally fruity. The smell began a few weeks ago, about when trichomes started to appear, and every single day it gets stronger and stronger. I can smell it in my room around the corner from the garages door to the house, and I have a 6' filter in a 3x3!!!! Opening the door first thing in the morning is a fun thing to do for the nose. The big tent is smelling pretty dank now too, but not like this 3x3. That's a lot of plant and smell packed into a small space.

24 Karats are Down!

First stab at Mephisto genetics, and so far so good. Both pops had nice tap roots this morning, and both are now in the dirt. One in the spent soil/prepped soil pile, and one in my new one gallon starter pots. I consider it a larger Dixie Cup. Lol. Solid little pot for a buck. I poked a bunch of drain holes in the bottom. These are real smooth on the inside, she'll slide right out when it's time, and in the meantime I can let her go three weeks + in this pot and begin training her here with no fear of the Dixie cup falling over. Much more solid. 5 for $5 at the Dollar Store!

Spent soil pile is:
- spent soil on the bottom
- FF Ocean Forest/FF Happy Frog (2 gallons or so) on the top
- bokashi
- frass
- FF Microbe Brew
- DYNOMYCO
- Great White
- GeoFlora Veg nutes

One gallon pot is:
- FF Ocean Forest only
- perlite
- bokashi
- frass
- DYNOMYCO
- Great White
- GeoFlora Veg nutes

Both sets of medium were prepped and activated about a week ago with FF Microbe Brew/Easy Weed Seaweed Supplement and FF Wholly Mackerel, and kept moist until today.

Hopefully they both come up for me. The one gallon will live in the lennai rig with the Zkittlez once she's up, as that will be her home anyway. Should be a fun comparison of 12/12 the whole time (approx.) of natural sun vs. 24/0 then 20/4 of old school blurple LED. Anyone want to bet which plant gets bigger?

TITAN

She appears to be finally starting to express her final shape. The buds are looking closer to getting ready to shoot some colors and start to tighten into actual buds. The one cola turns me into a crazy person, I can't look at it. If I do I start thinking it can't be real. I haven't grown a cola that sweet on a photo, much less an auto. :adore: Growers Choice genetics.

So @Jon, that titanium looks amazing.:jawdropper:

Thanks @Kanno26, she's a beast alright. If only it was my fault, lol! I'm definitely excited to have three separate strains in hand (multiple seeds of each) of these Double XL autos. Can't wait to see if the other ones grow like this too. I can't begin to imagine what this plant's yield will be. Each of those lower colas in the ring are so heavy and dense and have so many smaller legit buds attached to them you won't believe it when I show you the harvest pics. I look underneath her to get a sense of how I'll be chopping her when the time comes, and it's jaw dropping when you look at it like that. The buds surrounding the two main colas but above the lower ring are all gigantic and heavy as hell too, and the main two, my god...and it's such a strong damn plant too, that's also part of good genetics. I used the usual MSA in veg with her, but that was only twice a week for five weeks. Most of this is her, not the MSA. Sure, I have the lower supports, but even without them she'd be quite upright still all around, just with more space between the rings when the lower ring fell down a bit without the supports in place. Very very strong branches on this plant, a huge plus if you're going to train out multiple colas. It's all just so far beyond my expectations I still can't believe it myself. Not in a million years did I expect a plant like this. There's no question it will shatter my old auto record of 6.9 ounces on the Chunkadelic. I would have to say this is a half pound auto or more.

It's an amazing plant, I wonder how many of this plant bedes have. I think it will be a rich harvest;)

Ahoj @Kanno26. Díky chlape, je to nádhera. Uvidíte každý krok. Growers Choice je evropská společnost. Měli byste dostat do rukou některé z těch Double

I would thingkthe 20/4 would have a better chance at maxing out the DLI and therefore be a bigger plant. That said, 12 hours of full on sun, assuming it gets the whole thing during the day and not just part of the day, probably would max it out as well. :hmmmm:

Another fun experiment! :thumb:

It would be close in that scenario, right? That's what I would think. The only wrench in the experiment is that the spent soil pile only gets half a day's worth of great light and the rest is shaded. I just measured with the diffuser and using the natural sunlight setting on the Phototone app, and right now, the morning shade, which is sunup til about noon, reads on top of the pile at 360 ppfd. Great for seedlings. Lol. But the second half of the day is all sun direct. So we'll see.

FULVIA

I sought out lower branches for these pictures, to show you what the smaller buds on Fulvia look like.

Here's one of the runts:

Here's another: There are dozens of these.
