This is an interesting point. I'm not sure what the reason is for watering to run off. Perhaps it is to entice the roots. I only did that once with the soil. The plant (not one of the seedlings) hasn't used up that water yet, so have only been watering top roots in the interim. The seedlings I am watering down the sides as you are, but not as much as you are. Thanks for the guidance Jon.Hi @Carmen Ray …. At this point I’m just watering down the edge of the pot and about an inch towards the plant in a ring, to just a tiny bit of runoff - enough to know the bottom of the pot is wet. Also on organic runoff - you aren’t using chemicals. Therefore I dont know how you’d ever have a salt buildup. So for me, and some may disagree, I always shoot for hardly any runoff…maybe 2-3%. That way the microbes you already have in there which are nice and viable don’t get all washed out as readily. Why do that? If you have no salt buildup there’s no reason to water to runoff, or at least not like with using chemicals. Just me, not sure if others agree. I know scientifically I can’t wash ALL the microbes out. But I believe I can put a dent in them and I don’t want that, right? Anyway that’s it until transplant. Cool?
Hi @Rexer, it sounds great to have a 270g out of one car, I got 500 of my five critical ones, so I find it absolutely incredible.Rex In A 4x4
Good morning my friend. How is the cold , getting better? Talk to doc yet? Stay safe Bill Good morning Bill! It's still there. But I've been getting better, just ever so slowly. As I suspected, it's just a flu bug brought on from the kiddo's school. The worst part must be over, cause I'm...www.420magazine.com
271g dried and cured.
Which is why I got so hopeful you beat mine when you said 10oz.
Why? Cause I love big autos, and yours is just gorgeous. To me seeing other big autos is a "hells yeah!!" kinda moment.
Excellent pointWell, I guess it depends on your water source. Rain water doesn't have much in dissolved solids, but my tap water has lots of dissolved stuff in it that leaves residue marks. Don't know if that's salt or calcium or something else, but I think that's the reason for watering to run-off, to give some of the excess buildup a chance to wash out.
Thanks @InTheShed, and thanks for your attention and guidance on this one. I have literally as close to zero flarf as any plant I’ve ever grown and am totally beyond sold on your methodology. It’s incredible. Me and Rex are hoping it’s 10 ounces. And it’s pretty much the very best weed I’ve ever grown or as good as any of it. Here’s a pretty one for you and thanks again sincerely - it really made a world of difference.Congrats on all the ongoing harvests, and those Titan buds look as good off as they did on!
Well, that and answer about 20 questions as well as chiming in on many of the group opinion moments I had, as well as providing me several links. So there’s that….Heck, all I did was
Damn good thing you'll have a lot of it!Titan First Pass Kief
My pain is gone right now. Non-existent.
Where you been?!! Lol! Thanks @oldmanjj , but heck, I’ve seen huge giant piles that dwarf mine, and recently! That said, mine is all for kief, it’s all first pass sweetness, and I do have a nice variety….I guess I do okay for Trim Bin kiefing, but soon I step up to dry ice extraction.Damn man, you have more keif than anyone I have seen. I mean literally, I have seen it with my own eyes!!
Versus? Edibles?I have a crapload of shake/smalls. You are making me want to turn that into keif!
