Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

damn thats a nice looking bud, its has got every chance of winning, if i could describe a perfect but then id be picking something that looked like that,

i cant wait to harvest my own unamed fem experiment plant, the one plants has got some pretty amazing looking buds, problem is id have to name it myself, i got myself some fem pollen and produced seeds from 3 different plants, all seeds so far are fem, the one batch of seeds so far has produced a top plant, buds are so dense,
my problem is i dont have a decent camera to take pics like that so my cam would not do my buds justice, but out of all the plants i have grown so far these buds are by far the most covered in trichs, when i pull one of the buds down to look down the side of the bud and below the leaf level at the nodes its pure white, the pistils are not like most plants ive grown either, the pistils are usually pretty flimsy looking but these are really thick, id say the pistils are about 3 or 4 times as fat as normal pistils, i cant even see if the calyx are swelling up enough yet,

but without a decent camera i wont be able to compete with a bud like yours above, id struggle to beat it anyway but i guess ill know more once the plants harvested and dried, it might be best if i dont enter the comp the same month you do, with a bud like that you got every chance of coming out on top.

you also called that bud jack, are you refering to the jack flash strain, if you are then that would have to be one of my top 3 strains of all times, i bought a fem seed but turned out male so was pretty gutted so will buy some more, when smoked its one of them smells that even if their was a room full of people smoking different bud then instantly you would tell someone is smoking jack flash, it has that really tangy cat piss amonia type smell, not in a bad way but in the best way, i just love how tangy jack flash is, im sure ill get a fem soon and grow a decent flash plant,

congrats on that bud, go for the comps, im pretty sure its one of the best buds i have seen in a good while,

well done
You should check out fleebay and the other sites for a cam bro,the one I bought is worth 800 bucks and I got it for 3 something delivered, you can get a decent point and shoot for a 100 bucks, most of them take great macros. Its Ch9 Jack, I got it as a freebie from the tude and its a great strain! heres the description.

CH9 Seeds Jack is a great all around plant. It is not only known for its vigor and flavor, but for the long lasting high, big yield. Excellent for Multiple sclerosis patients. Great to vaporize. Cerebral high with a complex musky aroma and an interesting gene pool. Great for closet & homebox garden.
everything they say there is true, its a great yielder and the flavor is pretty much exactly what they say, weird thing is its smell exactly like cotton candy when its growing,Jack and the Chernobyl I have entered in this months notm contest are my 2 favorites smokes, best Ive had in a long time, I sold all the other strains I had last round and only kept those 2.I have 2 of them in the system this round, I cant wait to see how fat the nugs get in hydro:)

Crap!! the autos are starting to flower and theres still 2 weeks of veg nutes in the soil..hope this doesnt hurt them to much.I ll try to get some pics up once the damm mosquitos bugger of. The weather here has been total crap too, I think the autos have been outside for around 2 weeks and I havent watered any of them because its been raining pretty much every other day, so they havent had a chance to dry out once.Hopefully mother nature decides to give them a break...

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Hi mate, dont worry about the auto and the nutes, most growers who grow autos dont switch nutes until a few days into flower and dont change the light from mh to hps until around week 2 of flower so i wouldnt worry to much just try not to overdo the nutes as i find autos prefer much weaker nutes and slightly lower temps, mine tend to show signs of stress when their closer to the light, i have to keep them at the edge of the grow room to prevent the leaves from getting stressed,

ive found most autos are not big yielders but this kc45 auto im growing is huge, i bought 10 seeds, all the other fems of this strain did not reach 1 foot, this one i got growing now is 3ft high and has got 4 main buds that are just over 1ft in length so should yield nicely this time round,

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

if i could grow outdoors i would, wouldnt be a long grow season here but could grow some autos outdoors, chances are they do a lot better outdoors and yield a whole lot more,

the strange thing is all the kc46 autos i grew that gave a small yield was grown under 20-4 from start to finish, this one i got growing now has been under 12-12 from seed due to my dual spec hps been on 12-12, so id of thought the plant would of been smaller but its 3 times the size of an auto of same strain grown under 20-4, its also took longer to grow, so im wondering if its grown more due to it having more dark period, id have to try other autos to find out for sure but this kc im growing now is huge compared with the same strain grown with same nutes in same medium, only diferrence was the light schedule

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

I had simillar results with the cheese auto I grew last round, it finish at around 39 inches tall and yielded over 3 oz of nice dense nugs, that was under 12/12, and I think you might be right about them doing well outdoors, considering the really crappy cold wet weather ive been having here the stalks on most of them are bigger around than my index finger and they are really starting to stretch, they seem to be loving they're enviroment. Now if I could just get a 2 months of decent weather lol...

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

i hear you on the weather, suppose to be summer here but its freezing cold and been raining the last few days, i cant remember the last decent summer we had, must be a good 10 years ago,

one thing to remember is that autos grow in places like russia in the mountains so their used to cold weather and short or long light hours, autos in that type or region has grown to be used to the cold and used to not having seasons, so i tend to think autos do well with lower temps. i know this can probably be breeded out of the auto due to crossing them with indica strains but its still an auto at the end of the day and ruderalis grow in cool mountain regions, im sure their are autos that grow in hot conditions but all i could find on autos is about them growing in mountain regions with cool temps,
