Joe's Grows

My circumstances have changed in regards to my power usage. Currently my inverter won't run my light at full power, it runs at the lowest setting only. So Big Swiss is only getting 100w of light instead of the full 200w.
It looks like I'm going to need a new inverter and possibly a new battery pack. That's going to be expensive, couple of grand at least. Anyway, I'll get a new inverter as soon as I can, and save up for new batteries in the meantime. Dammit.
As long as the sun is shining and I have a decent inverter though, I can make enough power to run the tent. Lucky it's the beginning of summer and there's plenty of sunshine to be harvested.
If I can get the batteries sorted before the end of summer, I'll be golden.

Anyway, here's some pics of the girls.

They look absolutely amazing!

♥️☀️♥️☀️♥️☀️
They do don't they. I'm getting better plants with every grow, and I have no doubt that's all up to the good folks at 420 magazine, including yourself.
The sponsors make it all possible too, if I hadn't won a free pack of seeds from @Gorilla Seeds I wouldn't be growing Swiss skunk, that's for sure.
So a big thanks to all the sponsors for keeping the lights on at 420 (pun intended)
And thanks again for being so generous T, I definitely wouldn't be smoking some top shelf bud right now if it wasn't for the seeds you so kindly donated.

It's that time of year again when the local trees drop their seeds. Problem is they're full of this fluffy shit, kind of like cotton, that lands on everything. It fills the air like snow sometimes. Well since the buds on Rose are getting sticky already, the stuff sticks to them. There normally wouldn't be a problem, besides the car getting covered in fluff, because at this time of year a plant grown from seed outdoors would still be vegging, so no trichomes for the fluff to stick to, but because I had these ones vegging in the tent for so long, as soon as I put them outside they started to flower, and we all know flowers are sticky, (well they should be anyway lol). I think the reason they're flowering early is because the daylight hours were still reasonably low when I put them out. Now that the days are getting longer I think they'll keep flowering (I hope), instead of reverting to veg. I wonder if they'll mature early too? (Again, I hope)

Big Swiss isn't liking the low light situation, she's still flowering and healthy, but it's definitely going to slow things down.

Anyway, here's some pics...

The fluff is a bit annoying but looking nice and healthy.Hopefully they continue flowering, not long till the Summer solstice when they'd get triggered to flower anyway.
Hey there Stunger,
I get the feeling that the plants have decided to flower anyway, to hell with what the sun's doing, they're going for it, for better or worse.
It'll be interesting to see if they mature a little earlier than normal, or they just have more time to put on weight and get big.

Heeee brew :)

Omg it’s raining mini powder puffs!

Looking beautiful as always.

How’s that grand baby?

Churrrrrrrrr
Hey T,
Thanks, the girls are loving the great outdoors.

Bubs is doing well, mum and dad are exhausted already and it's only been a month, just wait till she's a teenager

The buds on the outdoor girls are filling in the gaps nicely, and the stems are sturdy and thick. I'm super happy about that because they'll have to be strong to hold up those massive cola's once they get really heavy.
I think Rose may be the best plant I've grown so far. Her root system is incredible, I put extra trichoderma on her when I repotted and you can see the results. Her shape is perfect. She's getting smelly now too, it's definitely that skunky scent.

Big Swiss in the tent is budding nicely despite the reduced light.

The pics are mixed up, first is Rose's trunk, next is the slow clone, next is the clone from Big Swiss, then a few close-ups of Rose's buds, one more of Rose, and last but not least, Big Swiss.

I love the gnarly looking roots coming out of that trunk Joe. Looking good!
Thanks Stunger. I'm pretty sure it's the Trichoderma that I put on the rootball when I repotted, causing the roots to go crazy. I've never seen roots like it before.

Outside, the situation is even worse.
It's been raining on and off, more on than off, for the last two weeks, we've had one sunny day in the entire time. And it's muggy.
So I was inspecting the girls today, in between showers, and I found Rose has developed budrot. It seems it was a mistake to put her outside too early. I didn't expect so much rain.
Anyway, I removed the few bits of yuck looking stuff I could find, and gave her a really good trim. Then I poked some bamboo stakes in the ground to tie her to, to keep the inside of the plant open to allow as much air as possible to circulate between the buds.
The other two plants outside are clones from Big Swiss, so they're not as advanced as Rose (AKA Little Swiss), the buds are still forming so they're not as susceptible to the rain and moisture in the air at the moment. I gave those ones a good trim anyway, concentrating on the inside of plant, again to allow for good airflow.
I also hacked back the encroaching wild Dill, and moved the plants a little further apart, all in an effort to get more air movement around the plants.

The photos are a bit muddled up but you get the idea...
:hookah:

A shame about the humidity and rot, but still looking good!
Yeah hopefully it doesn't spread. Don't really want a repeat of last year.
I could do with some sativa genetics about now lol.
I believe hydrogen peroxide may be helpful against budrot. I'll have to look into it.
