Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flowerbox - 41 Week Perpetual SOG Part2

Re: Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flowerbox - 41 Week Perpetual SOG Part2 - Blue Planet Nutri

RMA arrived Saturday. Could not simply dupe the drive... that would have been too easy... Now comes the arduous task of transferring everything off of a failing drive. Then "0 Fill" then Fdisk, then reformat, then "1 Fill" then Fdisk again and reformat, and "0 Fill" again before I send my failing drive back to the manufacturer.

I'll be back on in a day or two, I hope, once I get everything reinstalled on the new system.

Hope everything is going good with your 'puter issues buddy. Sorry to hear about the probs. I hate stuff like that! :goodluck:

As well as can be expected... I'm still asking myself, "...where the hell did I put _____?" and "...what frikkin directory... oh there it is..." setting up my programs, and my own tweaks. It's gonna take a week or more until I get everything "Just So" again.

Hey, at least the hardware malfunctions have move AWAY from the grow space!! Cloud, meet silver lining...

Re: Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flowerbox - 41 Week Perpetual SOG Part2 - Blue Planet Nutri

Well, there was the drive failing... and the complications with that... Then 2... count them... TWO power pole cutouts and a Ground Transformer/Switch blew up in my back yard last night, killing the power for half my apartment complex, and sending my flowering plants into total and complete darkness, along with interrupting the data transfer, and recovery. that alone caused my heart to skip a few beats... Those blasts were LOUD, and they were about 10 feet from my back door... I thought someone had discharged a 12 ga. with 00 shells (hehehe). Then the almost got the power back on, and *BOOM!* It blew again, sending sparks into the sky. Then again the lights came on, and a fainter *BOOM!* reported form down the street. Power on-off-on-off-on-off.... What's that cause in electronic components that are failing already?

Thank you for taking the third, though... I shudder to think of what cataclysmic event would follow that sanity shaking event.

hope you are able to get your HHD situation to cooperate. Back when I was a pc tech for a school district my co-worker F'ed up and broke the partition to one of the asst. superintendent's HDD and wow did he get the SHAFT. lmao.
Another quick one: we brought in a bunch of HIFI equipment for a party and the second my buddy pushed the power button the transformer in the back yard exploded and caught the palm tree on fire. Was some bomb a$$ stereo equip.

Alrighty! Install and software updates complete. I feel like my geeky self again. Played some WoW, a little Sims3 Supernatural, BSGOL, Watched a movie of 5 til the wee hours o' the morn'. We're right as rain.

Now we wait for the lights to come on in the box, and I'll start up the photo suite. It's a shame to have this much editing software and let it go to waste... BID... But I will admit, it's easier to just have the small, monochrome text. Duplicate layers, scale, position and it's done. I guess I could load in some after effects, but I think the liquid detail effects are lost in stills. Maybe a vidjo is in the future.... hm.....

Update on the DWC Bubble Cloner: Scrapped.

Experiment 1: Unsuccessful due to stem rot
Experiment 2: Changed Rooting Formula. Unsuccessful due to stem rot. There was less, but still enough to call it a failure.
Experiment 3: Added BLUE ZONE Root zone conditioner. Minimal stem rot (3:36 cuttings) but rooting took an excess of 22 days.

I am dubious that given my environmental circumstances I can make this a successful method of cloning. Unfortunately, out of almost 150 cuttings, I was able to get 4 of them to actually root. I will reluctantly return to my tried-and-true Rockwool method of cloning, and I do not believe I will be trying any other methods of cloning in the foreseeable future. I may, at some point decide to give another method a good ole college try, but this method, although I did see a modicum of success toward the end, I do not see a need to attempt again.

Re: Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flowerbox - 41 Week Perpetual SOG Part2 - Blue Planet Nutri

good for you bro =)
im glad you have all your creature comforts back =)
Creature Comforts?? No-no-no... a computer is a necessity, my friend. A monster PC is a creature comfort. My modest 64bit quad core 3.4ghtz, 8Gb DDR3, 1.5TB+300GB HD is a necessity. If I were to double the ram, upgrade to 4GB SLi Video, bump up storage to 5TB, and get the newest OctoCore Black Box AMD Processor... THAT would be creature comforts...

As it stands right now, If I don't pwn me sum n00bs with the UBR L33T HAX with the "WTG" and the "FTW" and the ROFLMAO while smokin' the biggest fatty that puts the Cheech and Chong roach to shame, I'm a bear to deal with...

Wasting YOUR talents? No-no-no... I was talking about my CS6 MAHSTA CORR(L)ECTION just sitting here taking up resources, and all I do is use the PS to make beautiful photos.

J isnt it funny how like an alpha male k9 we need to mark our Territory ,in the case of a tech geek we run our favorite progs, play a round of fav games arrange desktop, install certain things/codecs,drivers etc. lol rather than pissing in the corners thankfully
Heheh, I call them my jandre2k3 g33k Tw34ks. And yes, before I do anything else in life with my computer, I do all my fixes, glitches, switches, patches, HAXes, and Service Packs--es, and get as much as I can set up just right. Hell, when I'm working with someone else's computer, if I can, I create my own Admin profile, and get it set up with my g33k w4r tools before I ever go delving into the deep, dark dungeons and torture chambers that are the creations of the general computer owner. Then I Ghost the drive and unleash the hounds...
