Alright you pics starved 420 people out there... My computer is back online completely, and I have my first volley for you. Will be breaking out the Scope in a few and uploading a few trich shots as well. Since Side B is coming up on 55 days: The first mile marker, I will need to keep an eye on the triches to judge how far along, and lucky you... You get to look along!

Okay, here we are with some trich pics.

In one of these you'll see a fair amount of amber. That is the base of a leaf. The others are the actual calyxes, and are just now completely cloudy. As this strain is another trial for insomnia, I will let it amber considerably before harvesting. Probably 20-40 percent is when I will pull it up.

yup idk bout the benchmarking crap i love my amd i always sneer with disdain anytime in forced to run an intel i agree amd rocks the gaming cpu world for me i hear these guys say yeah my intel runs 7 billion frames per blah blah but whatever the reason i have always had better results with amd, the cpu im running now holds the guiness book record for fastest od'd proc they got it up to 8.309 gigahertz
heres a link and another im running just under 5ghz with the factory cooler and a case full of fans lol but damn it's smokin fast:thumb:

Re: Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flowerbox - 41 Week Perpetual SOG Part2 - Blue Planet Nutri

i like a dual boot, win7 and kubuntu atm
i despise all things apple i hate the proprietary crap i broke down and tried an ipod a couple yrs ago i connected it to my pc for music and get this it effed over nearly 10gigs of my music it claimed i had no digital rights to play or use my music so it could not play most of it and the kicker was after i disconnected it i could no longer play my music wth my usual player due to drm violations!!! wtf ? its my music i have the damn cd in a rack on the wall!! it even locked me out of my music that i wrote and recorded literally "my" music, not till after a system restore could i use my music again! i returned the ipod after owning it for 18 hours or so,

i do love android os (linux really) open source is king in my eyes, but for some reason (software) i cant seem to go fully open source yet im hoping android os will come to pc soon that would be sweet and i cant even imagine how fast this new rig would be!

Funny you should say that... remember I said it had a little 300GB HDD? That's my Linux boot drive. I have a loader on MBR that gives the choice of Linux, MS DOS, and Microshaft Winblows.

And the fact that you said, "Kubuntu," tells me Open Source!!

Thank you for that.

Re: Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flowerbox - 41 Week Perpetual SOG Part2 - Blue Planet Nutri

jandre2k3 you sound like the computer guy I always wanted to be, anytime I tried to push the cpu like your talking about it would end up giving me problems, so lately I have just been backing off and leaving it alone. In fact after I got severly hurt at work in 2003 I have been using Apple MacBook and like how I dont need pop up blockers or anti virus protection as much as I did with PC's, that said I do admit that I am craving to go to Fry's Electronics and getting a basket full of goodies and build a super PC. I stopped using Windows cause I hated the fact that Gates was getting a piece of everybodys pie

You know... I hear Apple people say that all the time. There are viruses out there that wipe out Mac users completely, yet Apple people say they can't get viruses.

Question:
Do Macs get viruses?

Answer:

It is possible for an Apple Macintosh computer to get a virus, so the short answer to the question is Yes. However, the likelihood of an Apple Macintosh user getting a virus when compared to a Microsoft Windows user is very little; not none. In fact, many of the Apple Macintosh users don't even run an antivirus protection program.

Below are some of the reasons why Apple Macintosh computers do not have as many viruses as Microsoft Windows.

  1. Newer Macintosh operating systems, such as the Mac OS X, is built on the Unix kernel, which is one of the oldest and most secure operating systems available. However, they are not immune to viruses.
  2. Microsoft Windows is used by a lot more people than the Apple Mac OS. Because more people use Microsoft Windows, it is a much better target and makes it easier for viruses to spread.
  3. Most of the computer virus writers are more familiar with the IBM platform and Microsoft Windows, which means its easier for them create a virus for that platform.
  4. Many of the tools, scripts, and code used to create viruses or other malware are designed for Microsoft Windows.

What are some examples of current antivirus programs?

Note: If you're running a virtual PC on your Apple Macintosh or Windows in Bootcamp, because it's emulating Microsoft Windows, it can become infected with Windows viruses. In addition, an Apple Macintosh can serve as a virus carrier, meaning that a virus could be stored on an Apple Computer but not infect it. However, if that infected Apple computer were then to connect to a network or forward an infected e-mail, it could infect a Windows computer.

Software and plug-in threats

Although the Apple OS is more secure than many versions of Windows, any software, plug-ins, or other add-ons that are installed onto the computer that connect to the Internet can introduce their own security vulnerabilities. The most common ways to attack a Mac computer is through a third-party browser and browser plugins like Adobe Reader, Flash, and Java. Today, most Mac users will have these plugins installed and enabled on the computer, but in doing so compromise the overall security of the system.

Additional security threats

Finally, although a Macintosh computer is less susceptible to viruses because it is a human who's operating the computer you still can be a victim of Trojan horses, phishing, and other online fraud. If you're an Apple computer user, we still recommend keeping informed about how to keep safe while online. There is no such thing as a 100% safe computer, a Mac, Windows, and even Linux are all capable of being infected with a virus or other malware.

Yeah I know its just so much less and for us its alot easier, wasnt putting you down just got to the point were I dreaded using a windows machine after all the years of fixing them. I am at the point though were I need to build us one so were not missing out as much. I have been an apple fan way back before they were so popular.
