These are some group shots that I have taken..
Upon looking at the preview I see that :420: blocks the date.. these are 5-21-2012 and 5-22-2012!

Well that catches us up to week 9. Week 10 updates soon!!!

Re: James' BPN Farmer's Pride Soil, Multi-strain 2012 Grow

Start of week 10 updates!!!

Aunt Bernice:

I went a little super-crop-crazy yesterday on her to make her the same height as the others. In total I did about 12 branches. All of them went fairly easy after a watering, then rubbing the stem to warm it up, then crunch! Only one snapped on me and that found its way to a rockwool cube:

I forgot to snap a before picture at the same angle before I started. The first picture is just before watering and the second is just after the cropping.

Here are shots going all around the plant to show all the croppings:

Now on with the clones. I have 3 cheese, 5 aunt bernice (love lettuce), the grape ape, power kush, and the celeste clone.

Group shot of clones (3 aunt bernice, 2 cheese)

Grape ape roots, this is about to be put into a hempy and soon as I find time/energy.

Power kush

This power kush has roots pushing out to the sides of the containers but the top hasn't grown much yet.

Re: James' BPN Farmer's Pride Soil, Multi-strain 2012 Grow

I went yesterday and picked up some calmag.

stoned- we should soon find out about giving extra grow nutrients.
I watered them all to check Ph and to feed the transition feeding....
Yep switched to 12/12 Thursday 5-25-2012!!!
Let the fun begin. On the 24th I had them out and I checked them. Well I was hard-pressed to find calyxes, however the next day on Misty (you can see 3 in this pic):
IMAG1706.jpg

This is what I fed them vs. the BPN transition to flowering schedule:
I mixed up 2 gallons (the values displayed on the right are already doubled)
grow - 45ml - grow - 30ml
micro - 37ml - micro - 30ml
bloom - 60ml - bloom - 40ml
soil a. - 4ml - soil a. - 8ml
h. tea - 4ml - h. tea - 8ml
k-bud - 2ml - k-bud - 4ml
cal-mag -15 ml
neem oil - 3 ml
s. thrive -1.5ml

The Ph's were all right around 6.5 other than Barbie, she was about 6.7/8ish. Still close enough for me.

Re: James' BPN Farmer's Pride Soil, Multi-strain 2012 Grow

whats the Neem Oil for...good job on the super-cropping...thats my next job..super crop and super top...really don't have a choice..i got 2 JH clones with flowers on them in the cloner...their position and color hasn't change...i'll check for roots next week when they reach their 10th day...good looking plants you got...and a lot of them:goodjob:

Re: James' BPN Farmer's Pride Soil, Multi-strain 2012 Grow

I agree! Those plants are really filling in your space! With the switch to 12/12 yesterday this is going to get exciting! :goodjob:

Re: James' BPN Farmer's Pride Soil, Multi-strain 2012 Grow

I know..... I can't wait... It seems like it has been going so slow lately I'm ready for some action!!!!

Miwa- Neem oil is suppose to help keep gnats and the such from invading your dirt. You can foliar feed it with a little dish soap or soil drench. I am just trying to soil drench as a preventative measure. I have seen no more than 6 gnats flying around that I have been able to kill half of them but the others were out of my sight too fast. I used it last time as a foliar feed and it seemed to help but no where near ridding me of the problem. It also took a few days until I noticed a difference. Supposedly it messes with their brains and makes them so retarded that they no longer eat or breed.

I don't have too many yet, Once I have 12 rooted plants the rest are destined for the trash bin. I am just assuming that I will not have 100% success rate right off the bat with cloning. Hell, 50% seems to be a goal right now. lol

Stoned- thank you very much for the nice words!! I am going to defoliate but not at a certain date. I'm going to let the ladies tell me when they are done stretching and ready for some bud production!!! I hesitate to defoliate too much though as I have read (and don't see why this wouldn't be correct, makes perfect sense) that when you take off too many fan leaves and larger sugar leaves it makes all the smaller trim leaves grow more, giving you more leafyness in your bud. I understand at that point leaf growth should be about done but if you start chopping a bunch, she may grow more out trying to catch light seeing as how those leaves are responsible for sucking in the light and co2. If you take that away she can't breath as well, slowing photosynthesis, therefore slowing growth. Of coarse this is all speculations on what I have read, I'm no botanist!! We will play it by ear though.

And :thankyou: about the ballast... It turned out to be amazingly easier. I even have a handle on either side to hold it where I want it, then use my other hand to adjusts the chains.

Re: James' BPN Farmer's Pride Soil, Multi-strain 2012 Grow

Looking good all the way around! :bravo:

Beautiful pictures as per your usual. Cool on the Cal-mag.

I think your up there with the best growers on
:420:

Just keep having fun! :high-five:

Re: James' BPN Farmer's Pride Soil, Multi-strain 2012 Grow

Ok on the Neem Oil...i didn.t know you could mix with nutes..i been just spraying...no bugs yet...i think these herbs are helping alot and i spray all other vegatation with dish soap and cayann pepper and tobacca juce soaked for 24 and strained..:thumb:

Re: James' BPN Farmer's Pride Soil, Multi-strain 2012 Grow

Sounds like that would do the trick, I bet having all those herbs is a big help. Did you make sure to put in citronella for the mosquitoes?

I wouldn't know if you can't put it in with nutrients. I have not read anything saying not to. I just tried it and haven't seen anything bad happen yet. I remember reading to do a soil drench with it in someones journal but for the life of me I couldn't remember who!

Thank you for all your kind words and coming by!!

Yep, works good while feeding too.

If you can afford it....it's expensive .....use AZAMAX. You feed it too your plants and it kills and repels insects of all kinds. I always used it in my outdoor grows.
