Ok Shed and co. 70 capsules made with a capsule loader machine thingy.

I’m thinking the only time saving part of the machine is the capping time.

Crueler than killing it?

I'll do it for you if you like. Wouldn't be the first time I've jumped in on behalf of another member's title.

What? Three updates in a row? No whey!

After waiting for 2 hours and 10 minutes to vote last night, I finally got home and watered the peat pucks, which were hovering around 76ºF. I needed the light for the clones so I moved it up and covered the shoebox with a towel to keep the heat in.

This is what I found this morning:

AF-47a is ready to meet the world!

If it doesn't have a tap root I'll wait to see if the others pop before I put it in a solo cup, but if it does it will get planted tonight.

If you're a recent acquaintance you may not understand why it's called the Shoebox of Light®. This might help:

I cut a hole in the top that exactly fits the desk lamp, which fills the hole and provides warmth. I like them to be as close to 80ºF as possible.

And while I'm giving a tour to the newer folks, this is what I mean when I say "in the shed."

It's called the Oval of Brightness® from the shape of the shiny insulation. And here is a shot of the homemade light.

It's 13 Samsung strips and a Meanwell driver (thanks always to @Graytail for the terrific guidance in picking the components) mounted to an aluminum frame (courtesy of a donor who shall remain anonymous unless they want to out themselves). It draws 380 wall watts max, but I don't usually run it higher than 300-320 for the sake of efficiency. It's at 200 watts now (25,000 lux at the tops) because the sun is the main source for my DLI.

Happy Wednesday all! :ciao:
:happy-birthday:

I would Love to find one that caps them for you. I have a board I can set them in but I have to put each top back on by hand. Do you have a name for it or a hyper link so I can find it. I take caps daily so something like that would be a Big help

I got it off of amazon. The one I have is sold out now, but it’s called a capsule filler, size 00. I think it was about $20.

Hi intheshed, yeah my luck has been terrible, I'm gonna give that method a shot...thanks.
It's worked for me! I use Dip'n Grow rooting concentrate to dip the stems (and I recommend it highly!) because Clonex gel never did a thing for me, and just distilled water for the ProMix HP. I also don't de-dome as quickly as beez0404 does. I take them off for a minute morning and night, but after a week I just tip them back about ½" and leave them that way, so they dry out slowly as they build roots.
I see your working on some auto's from 420,me to og cush day 56 just started showing signs.
They look happy to me! My first plants were 420 Blueberry auto and AK-47 auto. I also had an 420 AK-47 photoperiod clone that I grew for about 7 generations until I let it go. These days my stuff comes from all over :).
You should get one of these multi pipettes...Printing project maybe
Uh huh...I'll wait!
LOL! I've been waiting for that :cheesygrinsmiley:.

Nice looker there ,she looks happy.
Thank you Cotarakos!

Look what I found when I got home last night!

It's nice when they have the same birthday! So they went into solo cups this morning:

And out into the sun.

Still waiting for the Carnival to come up, so it sits alone in the Shoebox of Light®. @Amy Gardner wanted to see it with the lid off, so here it is:

I measured the distance from the top of the peat to the actual bulb, and it's around 5".

I hope everyone is healthy and happy. Grow well!

And so it begins....
Nice, healthy looking sprouts, Shed- hope the Carnival pops out soon!

Is that just a plug in desk lamp? I've been thinking about designing and building some kind of smaller nursery area aside from my.veg and flower tents with softer lighting than my LEDs

It is! A standard issue articulating $20 desk lamp with a 23w CFL in it. Usually it's got a 6500K bulb but that's dangling over the clones, so now it's a 2700K bulb. It's mostly for heat, and light when it breaks the peat.
