InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

re: 420 AK-47 & Gold Leaf - 1st Try With Clones - Soil - In/Out - Vegging Till Fall '18!

When I woke up this morning, I realized that my neighbor had borrowed a plastic tub that my daughter didn't need in her dorm, so I wrangled it back. I replaced the bulb in the desk lamp with a 23 watt (100 watt equivalent) 6500K and moved it over the box and hope that it's enough light to satisfy both the "don't let them do photosynthesis" camp and the "they need light to reveg" camp.

I sprayed them down with the cal/mag water and this is where they will be spending the day today:

There still seems to be some conflict among my support group (420d, Themaddabber, Derbybud, Blazin Waffle, and DeVille) about how much light they should be getting and for how long.

And that's where it stands now. Phewf that was a whirlwind! Things should be pretty boring here while I wait for roots, but I'm sure I'll come up with something!

All eyeballs welcome!

:Namaste:

Hey goofy, it reads "remove" for a reason!

Granted I have no idea what that reason may be, but I don't work for ThermPro!

(mine is the same way,)
Hey buddy.
I see we have the same title  :hmmmm:

February, March, whatever it takes.
Haha I just noticed it now hahaha. I'll be sure to check your journal out brother! Congrats once more!

I love that pic of the Carnival seed. Crop it around the bean, a bit of saturation and if it enlargens enough you may have a monthly winner
Yeah maybe, now that Amy isn't eligible for a while...
I meant to say, re the plants, that the Golden Tiger is an excellent shade of green and looks very perky indeed and if you decide to flower the Candida, pls let it out of that tiny cup, it looks exhausted already
Thanks! And if I do flip the Candida, it will be in the solo cup...for science!
Nice updates Shed, those capsules look dangerous almost black. I'm not sure I would down one if I didn't know what it was.
You should never down capsules if you don't know what's in them :cheesygrinsmiley:. I'm sure your parents taught you that!
They look healthy, have u used that cloning method before InTheShed ?
Greetings Cotarakos and :welcome: to my perpetual grow journal! I tried many many cloning methods and failed miserably at all of them. Then I switched to my current method and have close to 100% success rates. It's slightly modified from the original by beez404, but follows most of the same steps. If you're having trouble cloning I suggest you give that link a read, and come back and ask if you're interested in the modifications I made.
Woohoo new seeds! Always so nice to see new life
Thanks DK! Seed drop is more stressful than cloning. :nervous-guy:
Bean pop!!!
Challenge accepted.
Bean pop!!! And start your timers........NOW!
February, March, whatever it takes.
Someone (mV) needs to contact Teddy :).

science is so cruel!
Crueler than killing it?
Maybe. I dunno. I’d hate to seem picky. :(
I'll do it for you if you like. Wouldn't be the first time I've jumped in on behalf of another member's title.

What? Three updates in a row? No whey!

After waiting for 2 hours and 10 minutes to vote last night, I finally got home and watered the peat pucks, which were hovering around 76ºF. I needed the light for the clones so I moved it up and covered the shoebox with a towel to keep the heat in.

This is what I found this morning:

AF-47a is ready to meet the world!

If it doesn't have a tap root I'll wait to see if the others pop before I put it in a solo cup, but if it does it will get planted tonight.

If you're a recent acquaintance you may not understand why it's called the Shoebox of Light®. This might help:

I cut a hole in the top that exactly fits the desk lamp, which fills the hole and provides warmth. I like them to be as close to 80ºF as possible.

And while I'm giving a tour to the newer folks, this is what I mean when I say "in the shed."

It's called the Oval of Brightness® from the shape of the shiny insulation. And here is a shot of the homemade light.

It's 13 Samsung strips and a Meanwell driver (thanks always to @Graytail for the terrific guidance in picking the components) mounted to an aluminum frame (courtesy of a donor who shall remain anonymous unless they want to out themselves). It draws 380 wall watts max, but I don't usually run it higher than 300-320 for the sake of efficiency. It's at 200 watts now (25,000 lux at the tops) because the sun is the main source for my DLI.

Happy Wednesday all! :ciao:

At least they tried... If I had listened to them Shed I wouldn't even been here right now. :laughtwo:

Is that a new build? Or is it the one I tried explaining how you should wire it?

Plants look awesome btw!
