InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Okay folks, we're off on another growing cycle...this time with autos in the tent (like last winter). So herewith is the Thursday update!

I pulled my last two The Wizard auto seeds from the fridge this morning:

Scuffed them up in the mini Altoids sandpaper tin:

Dropped them in a bowl of distilled water:

And put them in a box inside the Shoebox of Light®:

It sits on the heat mat at 80ºF with the light directly above it keeping it warm. Tonight I'll tap them to see if they fall, and with a bit of luck I should see tails sometime tomorrow.

We'll see. :slide:

Hiya Shed I like your sandblasting box!
Thanks RR! When I started I used a small cardboard matchbox (about the same size as the tin), but one day the seed flew out of the side when I was shaking. After that I looked for something that snapped closed. :)
LOL thanks MedSci!
I think I will find this very educational and thanks for putting it in your journal.
Glad to help Keith, and I try to put everything I do here in case someone finds something useful along the way.

Did you have to use the old stoner trick? Panty hose over the end of a vacuum and sweep the area. Hope you found it.

I roll up some 120 grit on a pen or pencil, tape it up so it doesn't come unrolled. Place the seed in and cover both ends with my fingers and give it a shake.

That never occurred to me, and no, I never found it. I believe it was one of the 3 original Sour G seeds from @The rooster, but I've since made a few more from one of the remaining two so it turned out okay:

Next time I will definitely rely on your trick though! :thanks:

So it's a sandpaper tube with only your fingers on the ends and nothing to support the sand paper? No wonder you're proficient with the vacuum technique! I like a bit of structure in my life. :)

Holy Moly Shed that's a pile of beans! Nice

Back before I started growing weed and had an excess of the stuff. Weed was a hot commodity, if you spilt it on the floor the panty hose trick worked good. Fortunately we did not have any pets.

The sandpaper is rigid enough, it supports itself. Tube is about 4" long. I have short fingers.

That's a new stoner trick to me!
Would of saved me about an hour a month or so
ago,when I dropped 5 Queen G's on the carpet ..
Thanks, Rr!
