InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Tuesday and time for the it's-my-30th-wedding-anniversary update! Normally I wouldn't mention it but my wife is actually in the UK for her niece's wedding, so I'm spending the day with y'all.
:ciao:

Since it's been a minute since we've seen Grandpa's Moonshine (Cookies n Chem x Purple Punch x GG#4) let's have a gander on flip day 42:

I've been spraying it for PM with .25% citric acid as well as weekly BT for caterpillars, and I also gave it a mini flush on Saturday (8 gallons through a 7 gallon pot) to help clear out the soil, followed by 1.5g of nutes. I somehow feel like I get some new pistils after I do that but I've never actually tested to see if it's happening. Either way, doesn't seem to hurt.

Here are some bud shots:

Nowhere near as fat as the 5 Killer Cookies, but they're so sticky it's really hard to get in there with pipe cleaners and tie up what's falling over!

Speaking of the 5KC, my son's friend (who was staying with us for the summer and helped with the trim) got to drive off back to college yesterday with an ounce for his effort:

And timing when to burp in my house is critical, since this is the RH I wake up to in my bedroom this time of year:

In other news, I finally got around to pulling the GM cuttings from the perlite on Sunday (cut July 30th), and here's what I found:

I tossed the one with the fewest roots and planted the other three:

That's all the news from me other than I finally gave an Amnesia Lemon Kush clone to my old contact from the site. He stopped growing for a while but is setting the tent back up, so I met him in the Home Depot parking lot for the hand-off. Gave him a sample of what to expect as well!

Have a great week and grow on.
:high-five:

Congtrats on the 30th anniversary Shed. I'm a year behind you, we'll be celebrating our 29th this weekend ;) That GM bud looks really tasty!

Had to look that one up!

They get sealed in between burping but the bags are only for the burping stage. They're not airtight like jars so I don't use them for curing.

Another nice thing about the bags is you can lay them flat and get almost every flower fresh air!

Humidity packs are only for long term stability in storage, not for lowering or raising the RH of the flowers. They're very limited in their ability to move the needle and whatever they can do, they do it very slowly. Don't rely on them to suck the moisture from damp flowers or you will end up like folks I've seen here do that...with moldy flowers!

Thanks Otter!

:ciao:

Thank you sb! My family smokes anything that will get them high:
They will put it in a bow-l.
They will put it in a joi-oint.
Any way they like to smoke it,
You can bet they're gonna toke it.

Thanks con! "Nothing wrong with..." always reminds me of the intro to a Chuck Berry ditty!
Don’t forget about their very descriptive smoke reports. It got them high. Very detail oriented your Crew is. Lmao 🤣 CL🍀. :rofl::cheesygrinsmiley:

Happy Anniversary Shed!

You've been left on your own to arrange a great celebration upon your wife's return. Don't blow it! :)

Grandpa looks good for his age! :Rasta:

Happy Anniversary, Shed! You're 9 years behind us. Here's hoping you get at least 30 more.

Grandpa's Moonshine looks good. Is she being grown the same way the Killer Cookies were?

I will be more than happy to pick her up at the airport assuming I'm not at work...that should be sufficient!

You certainly do. :thumb:

Thanks HG! You got a much earlier start than we did and I'm older than both of you. :)

The 5KC was grown in a bottom-watered soil-over-perlite SWICK from birth to harvest, where GM was conventionally grown in a solo cup and 1 gallon pot. When it was due to be upcanned I moved it into a SIP but after a few weeks in that it was very unhappy, so I replanted it pretty much bare-rooted into my standard 7 gallon GeoPot. It took about a month to recover and then I flipped it.
Happy Anniversary to the Shedster n the Ms.z. May everyday be filled with joy, love and happiness my brother. CL🍀.
That's very kind of you Captain, thanks for you thoughts. :Namaste:
Happy 30th wedding anniversary and GM looks great with beautiful buds.
Thanks Keith, and at least I have the Grandpa's Moonshine to keep me company!

Lazyman’s (Sunday) flushes alway seem good after to me
in the Home Depot parking lot for the hand-off.
Its like The Equalizer crossed with The Big Lebowski awesome 🤣

Oh c’mon! 30 years and you’ve learnt nothing! 😂
Har! We actually have a pretty egalitarian marriage, so I'm sure she'd just like us to have a nice dinner somewhere when she gets back.
Yep a humble In and Out, all Mrs Shed is after!
but if I'm going to enter POTM I think I have a better chance with my 5 Killer Cookies.
Get it over with and enter! - that was one handsome plant!

I hope is was a nice trip for her and you have a lovely catch up anniversary, Shed.

Nick
