InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Padron my absence folks. I came down with an awful cold and am spending the day in bed (mostly napping).

I'll get back to what's going on as soon as I can, but before that I wanted to see what y'all thought about this:

You might remember that I found some nanners on the Tin Can Kush a few weeks ago. When I took it down yesterday there were hundreds of them that broke free in the wash. Here is a pic of one handful I scooped out:

Given that this is a cross some guy in Colorado sent to Grandpa Tokin, I'm guessing it's not too stable.

Can anyone think of a reason to keep the clones given how hermied it was at the end? I'm really considering tossing them all.

:thanks:

I would see how your family likes the smoke before tossing the clones. You didn't actually find a lot of seeds on it, did you?

Could they have gotten semi pollinated in your experiments?
Thanks Boo. I don't think there was any loose pollen from the Candida, and it wasn't anywhere near where I sprayed the STS lo those many weeks ago.

Thanks BL, I found a few green ones and two brown, but I think that's because it hermied pretty late to really self-pollinate or affect the Red Dragon. But if I had another variety not so deep into flower I'm thinking it would have been pretty seeded.
Sorry to hear about your cold - hope you’re back up soon.
I would toss them too.
Thank you Felipe. It's certainly the way I'm leaning.

I guess I'd be looking at from the other perspective. Given the potential problems, can you come up with good reasons to keep them? My default would be to toss them.

Edit: And now that I reread it, that seems to be the way you are leaning. Trust your gut.

I'd chuck 'em- you don't want them to put any of your future ladies in a "family way"....
Feel better, Shed- Nova also gave me a bad cold when she was here Wednesday...
I just got up a little while ago..

Uh oh. Kid germs!

Highya ITS,

I hope you get to feeling better! I agree with everyone else about the hermies! Life's too short to go second rate! There are many other better strains (probably in your bean stash) that would yield more favorability. Happy Smokin'

I’d give it one more try…with all the farting around you do…that stuffs pretty insidious… get well soon Shed.

First, thanks to all for your well-wishes! Yesterday was pretty awful but today I managed to take a shower and go to work, so that's definitely an improvement. :)

Before I get to the quotes:

I'll have the harvest pics up later and I promise to catch up on what I missed elsewhere. Now on to you all:

Thanks Azimuth, and an excellent edit to boot!

I'm with you on the clones and the cold! I got mine from my daughter who brought it home from her sleep-away campers. :(

Feel better you too!
Nope, why bother. to much good stuff out there.
PS hope your feeling and getting better.
Thank you dynamo! Feeling a bit better today and went to work as well. Even got a bit of sleep last night between bouts of coughing and (for some reason) getting up to pee five times. No idea how that relates to the cold unless peppermint tea is a diuretic.
I hope you're feeling better, Shed. Have you been wearing your mask still? It's been great since I've been wearing one. Haven't had the sniffles once. Mind you I also have a pole that I poke people with when they get too close.
Get well soon!
Thanks MrS! I have been wearing my mask when I walk the halls at work, but this cold came from my daughter and we don't wear masks at home. :cheesygrinsmiley:

And watch out you don't get arrested for that pole thing...

Thanks Bode! No second rate growing here unless I'm personally responsible. :high-five:
I'd have to "Shed the negativity". Unless you plan on breeding it out for future projects. Sounds like work!
No breeding projects on my horizon, so negativity has been shed. Thanks Otter!
Thank you HG! I hope the trip to your sister's went well. :)

Thanks Fudo! I did find it hard to believe it was affected by the STS spraying of the Candida that I stopped in mid-June. The plants weren't even out at the same time as the spray.
Toss It would bee my vote if we were ,, I guess 3 days 2 pages your feeling better now if not get there soon
Thanks sb!
Lots of well wishes for a speedy recovery. :hugs:
Thank you VG! I seem to be slowly on the mend. :thumb:
