But that wasn't my goal. My goal was to determine what was stored in the soil, not compare anything to anything else. Comparing is what happens at the end of a flush. Let's not distract from my update though!

You can always skim and pause when you find something that strikes your fancy HG!

I don't often have nutrient lockout, but when I do, it's pH related! No idea how it happens but I really should be reaching for those sidearms more often :oops:. I haven't been measuring runoff for months and this is the first trouble I've gotten into.

I think the excess nutes were in the soil because the pH had dropped to a point where the plant could no longer uptake those nutrients. As I mentioned in my post:

Moving on to the not-FIM, here is the Monday update, it's raining here in Los Angeles so the plants stay in the shed. Temps seem to be holding steady at 64º at the soil and 72º at the canopy. Here is what they look like these days:

I was always concerned when it rained that the Mars 300 really wasn't a good replacement for a sunny day. I feel a little better these days :). Some day I'll get a gas fusion setup for indoors and then I'll be happy!

Let's talk about the not-FIM. I cut it exactly where the instructions say, about 75% down on the newest growth without cutting the side shoots, still a not-FIM. Here it is this morning:

Last for the day is by request of @Amy Gardner, who was curious about the AK-47 supercrop I did a few nights ago. Keep in mind that this plant spends most of its time under a 23w CFL these days. If it were sunny the growth would be much bigger:

I hope that helps, and it also demonstrates what I mentioned yesterday about leaving enough lower growth on to create new tops if you're supercropping. Someone else might have looked at that growth and removed it, thinking it was never going to be worth anything. Now it's four more colas! That's how my AK from back in May got to 59 tops!

I have a whole lot of recent cuttings I did when taking off lower nodes... I’m not able to clone right now so they’re in a vase by my bed and I add some to every meal :D

Thanks for the note on the super crop. Somewhere I got in my head that it’s done right towards the top, like under the top node - dunno why I thought that. So you can do it anywhere on the branch then, is that right?

you couldn't get an even 60 tops on that thing? Lil Disappointed Shed! LOL. You did a beautiful job training that AK my friend. Looks better than my scrogs! I dont think ive ever attempted to fim a plant before, maybe by accident! LOL

Thanks LED! 60 would have been a bud too far :). It did win POTM back in October (I'm sure you remember voting for it of course ;)). This pheno is made for that shape. It's the best way to get the most weight off it.
 
Thanks Derby...Candidas not so much! It's going to take a few go-rounds with this strain.
