Ya eh mason...you reminded me of my Dad...he used to watch MASH three times a day and we both used to laugh are asses off. Dad was in Korea so,.....he used to say " when we watch this Western we're gonna get dust in our eyes"...I miss him....sometimes! I'll be mixing up my first DBHBB soon and am going to get the soil and worm castings.

20-40 pounds of organic worm castings that show an NPK of zero K. (1-1-0)

I read in another thread and it was confirmed that 1-0-0 was what to get, is it just that K is 0 is what is important?

That's the stuff! I love how they listed the calcium....these guys might know what they're doing. I'd like to try those castings.
 
Thanks X doc! I forgot the perlite but there is some in the pro mix. Is that OK or should I go get the perlite?
 
Pro mix is BX and it's an indoor grow

I got it at a garden center for$18.99 per 15 pounds and got 2. Will go get some perlite. Approx how much?

HOw much perlite? I dunno....maybe a bucket full? 4-5 gallons for the whole bale?

Just did mine today. If you haven't gotten totes yet the bigger 54 gal ones. They are perfect for mixing your amendment. I took Canad's advice and it was super easy.
