Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

I think someone invaded my mind - I was thinking about how I'm always seeing people use lighters or other objects to provide scale and how funny it would be if someone decided to use an anatomically correct object that you might find in one of those stores with no windows instead of a coin, beer bottle or a lighter :)

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Looking fantastic Ice!!:high-five:
Ditto...
Right now I am up to 3 cups per plant a day. I have been doing this as my feeding cycle...

1 week I start with R/O water and add cal/mag, epsom salt and other small additives. As I use the water through the week I keep adding more so it gets more dilluted each day. So by the end of the week its pretty much water.

The following week I hit them with the same process, but add organic nutrients and additives and slowly use and dillute it along the way.

The 3rd week I have been either doing a compost tea, or back to week 1...
I'm feeling your feeding regiment.

I love this one "you can't learn how to grow pot on the internet"
:laughtwo:
Hilarious, everything I know about growing I learned right here on :420:

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Hey everyone!!

So today makes day 36 of flowering and the girls are really starting to get fatter by the day as well as the lower buds are growing larger and connecting to each other making some nice fat tops/cola's :)

I think this is going to be an excellent yield and still have at least 2-3 more weeks to go, maybe more :) The harlequin finally looks like it is starting to fill out so I am thinking that maybe the longer light schedule might have delayed flowering but really not sure at this point, all I know is it seems to really be picking up speed the last week and filling out really nicely (front center plant)

I have to say the black cherry cola has to be one of the most fragarant strains I have ever grown and just brushing the sugar leaves lightly your hands will reak of sweet berries :)

I started my batch of earthjuice this week but only am using 1/2 the recommended amount since the plants still have some slight leaf curl too the tips.

I ran some R/O water through the harlequin and from 0ppm water in, the runoff was only at around 600ppm so it is sitting a little light, but right in that zone :)

Here are today's photos..

I also was curious about where my brix levels were at so I checked all 6 plants...

I chose to also take a sap reading from my mystery kush because I was curious without squashing up the leaf, what the sap actually was reading...this also helps to know that the readings that I am taking are accurate to what I am doing. I still am not quite sure if we should be testing the sap itself, or squshing the leaves.. the sap reading seems more realistic but what I have read it seems to be the squashing method...

Sap reading of the front left mystery kush....this was taken as soon as the leaf was cut off, I took the bubble that formed on the stem at the cut and put it on my refractometer immediately and took a reading...

Hey Icemud, it's Opus here, or BunkerMonkey as I call myself on 420. Following now and I have lots to read. I think LEDs work.

Ice, Awesome as always!!!! I am waiting for my Kit to get here, will get to cooking some soil here by this weekend.. My room setup is still in progress, I have almost everything here, but money is really tight, so my hope IS that by the time the soil is ready, so should the room.. So Far, I have a 144x3 reflector, 2x Mars 700's in flower spec, a nice Vortex S line 6" and a phat phresh filter.. Im struggling trying to figure out my climate control.. I don't know with winter coming if I should go with CO2, as the temps will drop and pulling air from outside directly into my tents will not be a smart thing.. Or I could pull the air from in the room, then into the tents, and vent, im struggling trying to come up with a solution that will work for both summer and winter, as the room I will be using is my old IT office, and its a nice 10ft x 12ft well insulated room/office with a wall A/C and a 230cfm exhaust vent installed into the ceiling, that connects to a 12" whirly bird on the roof... I could plumb all the exhaust into that vent and remove the 230cfm fan from the ceiling.. Or I could leave it installed and run other intake and exhaust vents... My worries are too cold or too hot.. I am really stumped on this.. Im close to the coast, temps are pretty mild all year round, but we do get chilly from time to time here and I have seen it dip into the 40's lol.. I know us Cali peeps think 40 degrees is the temp of an iceburg.. But I want to make sure I set this stuff up correctly. In the summer not so much of an issue, I can pull air from outside all spring/summer and use the A/C if it get's too hot.. Just don't want to kill a heater or my electrical bill this winter either.. My Plan is by hopefully Oct1 to be in full swing and chasing ya!!

Great Updates, those girls look sooo darn good!

K0ncept, they make a micro corolled ventwhere you can have it set to open one side of a T and close the other, so you could pull air from your room and or outside depending on temps. I looked at them for my grow room, they aren't too pricey.

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Looks amazing in there Ice you see all the pistils having a blast  looks like you will have some incredible buds broda. Looking forward to see the harvest :bongrip::bongrip::bongrip:

Gotta drop some Reps+ cause thats a tight looking V scrog and its getting better each day.

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Decided to do a quick photo update...

Not much to report today... Girls seem to be still fattening up by the day..

What is blowing my mind is how fast the harlequin is all of a sudden catching up to the other plants in girth and development to the other plants... fast!

Here are the photos for today..

Icemud,
Beautiful, as usual! They are plumping up right in front of our eyes!
I posted this idea on several others' threads.

Maybe one day we can see a 'Top Chef' like grow- where you, Doc, Curso, SGA, Graytail, etc., "The Fellowship Of the HB Kit", all grow the same plant, preferably from seed, at same time, and we see the Masters do their thing.

:)

It would be awesome!

That would be pretty sweet :) It would even be better if after the harvest we could have a big 420 party with all members that could come and have a huge awesome smoke fest :)

Thank you for the compliments Dr. Ziggy... So far so good and only a few weeks to go :)

Thank you Lexblaze...trying to nail it this time and so far so good :) I am guessing probably by day 65-70 they should all be pretty much finished...well if they grow exactly the same time as last run.. so over half way there :) I can't wait :)

Hey koncept!

I live near the coast too and the temps do stay pretty constant, except for those winter nights that get to the 40s...BRRRR...LOL I grew up in Chicago getting used to below zero temps and now being in socal so long, I acclimated to the temps and now 40s is freezing cold..LOL..

Well I would probably recommend venting your room to the ceiling duct like you were thinking about which will pull the hot air out of the grow area and out of the building... a big plus in the summer. Not sure if your office remains warm during those winter nights but if not you may want to set your daylight schedule during the night...this is what I do to keep the plants warm during the colder nights, and keeps temps down during the day when its hot out.

As long as the room temp stays above 60F degrees you should be fine, as well as doesn't get over 80F you will be all good. I would vent the hot air out of the tent (extract at ceiling of tents) and have that go out the vent in the ceiling. Now if it gets too cold during the winter months and you don't want to run your heater, you always could pull the vent out of the ceiling and let the warmer air vent into your room where your grow tents are.. If you plan on using 2 tents you could alternate day/night schedules so one tent is always on, and one is always off..(flipflopping) this should also help to keep the temps from going to either extreme...

The only thing I would make sure to do is if you are using a CO2 tank system... then I definitely would NOT vent the exhaust into your room and would for sure vent it out of the ceiling.. this is only if you are using high PPM of CO2... if you use something like I have, the fermentation method, you wont really have to worry about it much...

Hope this gives you some ideas... I haven't slept yet so I am pretty out of it..so hopefully this makes sense.. lol
