Man ICE!!! DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WoW!! facking looking great! Hey is that your 2x4 Hydro Hut? I took your advice and ordered one.. But after watching your videos, do you think with me having a couple mars 700's on the way for flower "could not afford the intella grows yet" would I be better off because of my limited coming off the walls space, to go with the Hydro Hut GrowLab 120L (7'11" x 3'11" x 6'7") ? as the MarsII says it will cover 3.5 x 3.5 I was thinking this might be the perfect tent for my room along with that 2x4 for veg.. The 2x4 will have a 144x3 reflector and the flower tent will contain the 2x700's.

I am just not sure not having the experience, if the 3'11x7'11 would be the correct footprint and be as effective as the 4x4?

One day I hope to grow as well as you and hope one day we can share a toke! Your stuff looks beyond great!

Hey Koncept...yeah the tent you see is the 2x4 Hydrohut silver (actually measures 28"x55"x78"). I also was looking at the Growlabs too before I got the hydrohut. I was looking at the 80L which is a 2x4 style. They look like really nice grow tents, never used one personally.

As far as choosing the tent size, I would go with whatever works for your room setup. The reason I went with the rectangular tents was just due to having little space I could fit them in, but If I could I would have tents all over my place :) lol

I honestly can't comment on the Mars II coverage areas as I have only used the 400w one and they don't provide footprint charts that I am aware of, so maybe posting that question in the mars II thread would get you some good responses.. Also, out of respect to Intelligent Gro, I don't really like discussing other LED brands in this journal because it is sponsored. :) no worries though.. I wish I could give you a better answer but really can only give advice on what I have used or give speculative suggestions..

Really I would suggest getting the tent size that works for your room first, and then once you get it, then pick the lights due to that. Whatever light you choose, just look for others that have used it and what they say about the coverage. My belief is a lot of smaller LED's is better than 1 big one for smaller grows and tent grows.. :)

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Hey everyone...

I just wanted to let everyone know so there is no confusion....

Intelligent Gro is changing their Product Names.... Instead of calling them by the Total possible wattage like most LED companies do (which is very misleading) they are now changing the names of the panels to what the actual draw is!

I think this is awesome and all LED companies should be doing this! Great job Intelligent Gro for doing the right thing :)

I like it !

So here is what the new models will be called...there is no difference in product, same exact product, just changed the name to the actual draws instead of the "max draw" if the panel was run at top wattage. (no panels run at this or they wouldn't last).

135W became the 90W (Single Module) <This is the one that Jandre's new journal will be using
270W became the 180W (2 Module) <these are the ones I am using
405W became the 270W (3 Module) <This is the one that Jandre was using
540W became the 360W (4 Module)
810W became the 540W (6 Module) <This is the one that Graytail is using
1350W became the 900W (10 Module)

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Thanks for the advice.. I love those Intelligent Grow lights, I cant wait till I can afford one. I love the programmable features, and think its smart that they are changing the names to the draw of the fixture.. That would really simplify trying to figure out what light actually pulls what wattage :) Very nice indeed.. I cant wait to get my tent here and get it setup.. I am kinda in the same boat, I have more wall space than do coming out in the middle space, that's why I thought that 3'11 x 6'11 would probably work perfect for what I need.. And when I can afford the Intelligent Gro 2 LED lights they should ROCK in there :)

I cant wait for your next update, looking awesome!!!

Thats the same reason I went with the rectangle tents, they just fit better in my living space without taking up too much room in the middle of the room :) Yeah so far the Intelligent Gro 2's are doing a great job!

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Hey everyone...quick update...

So I decided that its time to give my girls a good flush just to make sure I help reduce any salt/high EC build up in the soil. The plants look amazing and the only reason I am doing this is I see a bit of tip curling on all the plants which usually indicates too high of EC so I have been running regular r/ow water through them one at a time until I get enough water though them I feel comfortable that the EC dropped. I also noticed a slight yellowing of some of the lower leaves which either could be due to high ec, or since they are later in flowering lack of N...

So for the next few days I will be flushing 1-2 plants a day until all 6 are done..

I will upload some photos later.

Here is my other Tent...Got just about all my strains in here except 2, which I am waiting to root.

The large vegging plants are (front right Blue dream, front left Churchberry, Back left GDP, Back Right Purple Urkle), and the small clones/vegging plants are GSC, Ogiesel, Black Cherry Cola, Harlequin, Mystery Kush, GDP, Purple Urkle, and I am waiting on my SFV OG and UVH OG to root.

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Looking good brotha. Quick question, have you ever checked the lumen output from these lights across your net? HPS vs LED are night and day but curious of what lumens you are getting with these. I did a quick search of this thread and didn't see it mentioned. Thanks.

I have checked the PAR of the lights. Lumens are not the right measurement for plant lighting as it is weighted green heavy like our eyes see. PAR or PPFD is a better way to measure light output and how it is available to plants. Feel free to check out my video showing the test and readings or you can visit the Intelligent Gro website and they have posted the PAR readings of each light.

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Ice, its looking GREAT! Both tents looking killer!!!!!! I think you are going to hit your goal :) and at the same time help myself learn so much.. I am just waiting for stuff to get here so I can start prepping the room and get it all ready... My goal is within a couple weeks to have everything setup and be trying to get some clones going.. My Collective in HB has the SFV OG and a few others in stock, what strain do you think is easier to grow for me to learn? I hear GSC can be a pain in the ass as well as the SFV OG..

If you are in HB...Check out SocalDam Genetics..."google it" and I have gotten some amazing clones from them. I am running both their SFV OG and GSC and they are legit...

I've also run many other strains from them and never had any issues, always very good genetics :)

As far as strains to learn to grow.... Both GSC and SFV OG were pretty hardy plants, and really aren't too tough to grow. I haven't really run into to many strains that were difficult, as long as you do your research, don't overfeed, make sure your environment is good, and have a journal here on 420 magazine, you should have no problem with any strains :)

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Thanks. Thought lumens were the standard in light measuring but now that you say this I'm researching "lumens are for people, PAR is for plants". Keep fighting the good fight and I will continue to humbly learn from your grows. Ordering a PAR meter now and thank you.

You really don't need a PAR meter if unless you are testing different light sources like I am.... most companies provide the PAR readings already on their websites. I mean if you have $350 to spend on one, I find it a handy tool for positioning my lights right...but honestly, I wouldn't waste the money since most companies provide this information.

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Thank again Ice.. I am getting there... Just waiting on a couple more things to come in the mail and in a few days time I "should" be starting my noob journal into how to research everything and still FAIL lol.. But as soon as the veg tent gets here I am going to get it all setup.. Only thing im hung on is air flow, and how best to set it all up... I watched a horrid video the other day on you tube, where a guy sets up his tent in his bedroom using booster fans and when he is done that tent must have been over 85-90 decibel's..

I am looking ahead, and have been researching QUIET intake and exhaust fans, I have a 230cfm exhaust mounted in the ceiling, I placed it in here a few months back for when I enjoy a smoke, as much as I love smoking, I still love fresh air. That 230cfm in the ceiling is like 6.5 sones well 6.5 is not really quiet.. So I was looking at the ball bearing inline fans that are pretty pricey, but I think my sanity is worth every penny in the long run... What type and how loud are yours? cuz they don't seem very noisy when I watch your vids.. I could handle that :) and again, thanks for the tips! cant wait for the next update and this one to finish I cant wait to see the finished product!
