I need to test that Harli! Awesome work Ice!

Yeah for a medical strain it really does wonders with a 1:1 blend of THC/CBD... and the flavor and smell and taste are so different from anything I have experienced before... kind of like a rubber tire smell mixed with asphault. Very very smooth.

Hey Ice, How do you handle the run off water after watering in your scrog. I have been thinking about creating a platform high enough to be able to put a bin or something under it with a valve or something so I can drain out most of the run off water since the scrog is pretty much unmovable. I really dont want to need to vac it out every time, I usually water after the wife is in bed already. Currently I just stick the pot in a bin and then once its done draining I empty the water into a bucket and dump it on my yard palnts. My single little scrog i just try and not water enough to have a bunch of run off but this isn't always ideal esp at CD time.

Well, actually I rarely have runoff anymore.

I changed my watering schedule and so now I only water with 1-3 cups of water a day (cups as in the measurement unit).

For 5 gallon pots this pretty much just gives the plants enough water for the day and the next day the soil is pretty dry and ready for more water.

I used to water 1x per week in very heavy volume (like 6-10 cups per plant 1x per week) but my soil was not drying out fast enough and it was causing problems.

When I do "flush" or try to correct salt issues and water collects in the trays, I have been using a turkey baster to suck the water out...long tedious process where a waterproof shop vac would work much better probably.

Hey everyone....

Just a reminder...today is the LAST day that Intelligent Gro will be offering the 15% discount!!!

If you have been on the fence with a decision, you might want to take advantage of the discount because after today it drops down to 5%.

Use ICE15%LED at the checkout for 15% off.... (I don't get commission or anything, my name is just used for marketing tracking)

So far I am definitely happy with my Gen 2 LED's from Intelligent Gro.

Yea a turkey baster doesn't sound like much fun :P I don't usually have much run off but just enough that I don't like leaving it sitting in there. Its hard to get the sides watered without some poring out with the root builder pots. I think I am going to build it up about 6-8 inches that would give me enough room to slide a shallow container under and drain them out. I don't think loosing 6" of height will kill me since it will be a scrog I should have enough vertical room.

I was trying to figure out something easier as well. I didn't look into it much yet but was thinking maybe those oil changing pans might work, the large flat ones with a little lip for catching drips and such. I didn't get a chance to get to an auto store yet to see if the size would work, but only could think of maybe a rubbermaid container or something.. good Idea with the tilt, I was thinking a very similar solution but just got too busy with other things to follow through.

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Oil change pan would probably work perfectly, I didn't even think of that. I have something very similar for my humidifier water tanks, it has two but one of them never ever drains so its worthless. I was thinking about using that but the oil drain jug would be better I think. That or I will be lazy and use on of the bajillion containers the wife has around the house. I swear she has a bin / container problem but they come in handy for my habit so I don't say anything plus its much better then a gold and diamond habit :high-five:

I am all about making life easy on myself. My neck kills me frequently and if its to much work I wont do it while I am hurting and I don't want the plants to suffer while they wait for me to feel better so I need an easy setup. Plus i'm just lazy...

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

I have been thinking about doing an elevated floor in my grow room as well. I think goat panels would work pretty well, and maybe just build a frame with a couple of 2x6s leaving room between them to slide some drain pans under. Only issue that worried me was rust, maybe a good coat of paint would eliminate that. Goat panels are pretty strong, and not too expensive.

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

man im glad you guys are talking bout this BEFORE I setup my tents... I am going to have to design something like your talking about, I could not simply bend over and use a baster to remove the water, im afraid someone would find me face down in my plants lol... I need something I can slide in and out and then drop on my floor so I can curse myself, rather then falling into my tent and destroying my plants lol...

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

Are you guys talking of a flood table? :)

Kind of...just really a way to let our plants have runoff without having the little saucer dishes under the pots. Something that would be like an angled surface that would allow the plants just to drain on this subsurface, which would collect the water and bring it to one side.

Just to make it easier to collect the runoff after... I've been using a turkey baster to remove the water which is very time consuming. So were just throwing around ideas of ways to fix the solution. For me my issue is my grow tent size is sort of non standard...28"x55"x78" so finding something that fits those dimensions for me has been my challenge.

I only flush about once ever month or so, so its not a huge ordeal, but if I could collect runoff easier I probably would flush more often.

re: Icemud's Intelligent Gro 2 LED Grow With V-Scrog - Going for 1lb & Beyond!

if you have a flat table to grow on, just edge it with some boards and throw plastic on top. Slope it slightly and all the runoff will go toward one side. Direct the plastic to a drain bucket or other container and problem solved. The boards don't have to be big or even screwed down, they just serve as barriers to water going over the edge. I like the low edge toward the door.....for easy removal of the bucket.

Hey Everyone!

Today Makes Day 30 of flowering and so far so good :)

The buds seem to be growing larger by the day and the trichomes are starting to pack on.

I will be just giving the girls water with cal/mag, potassium silicate, 2-4-0 fish this week for feedings and they are up to around 3-4 cups of water per day now.

Here are today's photos.

This will probably be my last application of it, I think it is supposed to go through week 6 and then stop. I will have to double check though.
