Hey everyone,, just wanted to give a quick update.

The girls are looking great so far, and I have continued to do the watering every day/every other day routine with just 1-2 cups of water, which is keeping the soil in the perfect moisture zone :) so far so good :) I have only been giving them my bubbling soil water and nothing else for the past few weeks so I decided to give them a TandJ tea with biominerals and a slight added cal/mag since I noticed a slight calcium spotting on some of the older leaves. Every day I continue to bend the branches under the screen and fill in the empty space and there is not much empty space left. I would say within the next 2 weeks, probably sooner the girls will be ready to clone, and to flower :)

I haven't been giving them many foliar feedings and so yesterday I gave them a foliar feeding of my tandj tea with added yucca extract, and today I will be giving them 4 cups each of TandJ tea for feeding since the soil is pretty dry. I may have to slightly increase the volume of each feeding as the girls are starting to suck up the water faster each week.

Thanks Jandre!!! I have so much fun doing the V-Scrogs ! Definitely makes great use of my grow area :) super excited to see how these 3 Gen 2 Igro's rock it!

Hey Everyone.... Well I have to say, my 2 week estimate for flowering I think is going to be an overshoot :) These plants are growing so fast right now, and loving my new watering schedule. They were showing a slight Ca deficiency so I gave them a dose of Cal/mag with my last feeding and things seem back to normal :)

Yesterday I wanted to mix up a feeding for them, since they have pretty much been feeding off the soil alone for most of the veg process, so I mixed up 5 gallons of R/O water with 80ml of Earthjuice grow and 40ml of Earthjuice Bloom, along with a drop of superthrive, and 40 ml of general organics cal/mag.

I bubbled this mix for 24 hours and gave the girls 2 cups each of the feeding. The mix will be good until tomorrow so they will get another feeding of it and then back to strait water until I am ready to flip to flowering.

Well here is the photos of the girls today, not much real estate left on my scrog screen to fill and I think it a matter of a week or so it should be about ready to flip to flowering. :)

You gotta be one of the best vscrogers I ever came across.

I didn't see it in your mix and I'm definitely not telling you what to do, just some ideas that might help you out. .. hell you might already do them!
Look into adding oyster shell flour in your next mix, excellent calcium source.
During veg and two weeks into flowing I always use aloe in whatever mixture I have going atm for foliar sprays!

Hey Brazel!! Glad to have you here, great suggestion BTW!

Yeah I actually do use multiple calcium sources (crab shell meal, fish bone meal and calcium carbonate) so I think I have plenty of Ca in the soil, I just don't know if its breaking down fast enough for the plant to use it...so adding some General Organics Cal/Mag every few feedings. So far the issue has been corrected I believe :)

Great suggestion on the Crab shell meal... also, not sure if you are aware but crab shells contain Chitin which is a growth regulating hormone which has shown increased pest resistance in plants and higher yields :) another perk to crab meal :)

My current batch will be the soils second grow so I'm hoping I see less problems as the soil comes more alive and mature!

Hey everyone!!! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Here is a quick update.

So yesterday I decided since I only have about 1 week left of veg before flipping to flowering, I wanted to take clones of all the plants that I plan on keeping as well as do a mild lollipopping/defoliation of the girls before I flip them to flowering. The reason I usually give 1 week from clones/pruning to flowering is I want to minimize any stress I caused on the plant before floweirng, so I give 1 week for the plant to "recover" from the pruning before the flip.

I have to say the ladies are growing very fast, and look extremely healthy for the most part. I did notice that the harlequin had some discoloring to the older leaves so I am in the process of seeing what is the issue and correcting it, however it seems only to be the older leaves and not any of the new growth...(thats the hard thing about organic soil is you may have corrected the issue a week ago, but takes forever to show)...LOL.

Overall I am impressed by how fast the girls are growing.

One thing I did notice though, is it is extremely difficult to keep my grow tent cool with these lights... with my 1000w HID air cooled system I easily kept temps below 85F with the extraction fan on medium low. Now with the extraction fan on high, and even with my vents open on the tent, sometimes it gets as high as 89F in the tent which is too hot for my comfort zone but thankfully I am home most of the time and can monitor the temps. One drawback to the panels is that they run very hot, with no method of extracting the hot air out of the tent like air cooled HID hoods/reflectors do. Not a problem just with Intelligent Gro, but all LED in general...no way to extract the hot air..... I do want to say that my Intelligent Gro's do raise the tent temp hotter than any other light sources I have used in the past.... At $0.35 cents a Killawatt hour/ I don't run my AC unit unless I absolutely have to, because it draws, 12.5A and 1500W...which would kill me in finances with my power bill....not an option unless absolutely necessary.


Other than the heat being very high, not much else to report on besides the girls are looking great, filling up the screen quite a bit and should be ready for flowering within a week.

I also gave them a light feeding yesterday of water with some hydrolyzed squid 2-3-1, organic B, cold pressed seaweed, and some SNS veg booster.

just a thought on your heat issue, i too was having the same issue as you i have 3 leds in a 3x6 area.

what i did was from my extraction fan just ran a piece of ducting right over the tops of the LEDS to suck the air from the source and took care of my probs with just one extraction point at the top of the room, or you could run a piece of ducting down the tops of your lights then cap it off at the end and with using 3 duct T's, one over each light to draw heat from each one individually. very simple, cheap and im sure it would help.Like always just thinking out loud, take it or leave it:):)
